  1. You are right. I should have said that I've never seen a Vocalise library sell for less than $49. The other two Vocalise libraries came out at $119 for a while and eventually went down to a $99 list. All the Gravity packs evntually go for $99.
  2. Vocalise 3 and Mozaic Voices are now at 50% off. I don't remember ever seeing any Heavyocity library go lower than half price. But maybe somebody can educate me. The good news about this is that you don't have to stress about taking advantage of these deals right now. They will come again.
  3. Okay, so I'm thinking... This "lists" for $399. This is 70% off. But who on this forum would ever pay full price, knowing how much they discount everything in time? According to Music Software Deals, the lowest has been is $249 at APD a year ago March. $120 is half that. I think it will turn up for under a hundred some day. I just have to get some good use out of it before then. I know I will. Decision made!
  4. Does anybody know how long these deals last? Only until tomorrow?
  5. I don't know how you got advance word, but I think so. After watching @Simeon Amburgey's video over and over, I'm sold. This will be a keeper for me over the long run I do have my mind on Vocal AI too, but thankfully there's no Simeon video yet, so I am safe for the moment.
  6. I have definitely slowed down a lot because of money. I had a profession and now I'm retired, living on a limited income. So I'm trying to be very strategic about what I really want to buy and try not to be distracted by sales and the completist desire to acquire everything in a series. I recently wrote @Simeon Amburgey that I am afraid to watch his videos because he is such an amazing salesman. πŸ˜€ I'm working on a video now about how I'm trying to cope with my VST addiction.
  7. IMHO this is very curated in the sense that they have put together an unusual combination of sounds. In addition to a traditional String Orchestra, you have a Lyre, Tagelharpa, Jaw Harp, Synths, FX, etc. So there's real personality here and because of these other instruments, you can do quieter music if you want. In terms of the solo vocal library being only phrases, I think Auddict is one of the best companies playable for solo female vocal libraries. They have two, and one or both might work with this, probably Ceres would. Ceres used to be a freebie and still might be https://www.auddict.com/celestial-voices-ceres[/URL I'm not sure why they stopped selling it, or even listing it on their site. I am a huge fan of their Calypso. It's one of my favorite solo female vocal libraries. This sells for $65, but it is often available discounted. I got it on a deal at either VSTBuzz or APD. https://www.auddict.com/celestial-voices-calypso
  8. If World AI is in this for less than a hundred, I'll buy it. But it's very new, and I don't think it will be discounted for a while. Let's see what unfolds. I hope that all of you Sample Logic fans get what you want. I was watching @Simeon Amburgey's video on this yesterday, and in the middle of it he said "Reid is in the house" (I must have made my first comment on his livestream) which was very surreal.
  9. Tsugi makes really fun standalone apps for making sound design. Using them you can literally draw in sound design. They are widely used by Game Designers. They are similar to Krotos Studio (which uses samples, these are synths) but there's a lot more stuff. I particularly like DSP Motion and DSP Action, which are now both $29. (Tsugi does go 50% off on BF) The other ones are not as feature rich, but will probably be updated someday. I've had a lot of fun with these. Some times they are the only things that have worked for me with my videos. http://tsugi-studio.com/web/en/products-dspmotion.html DSP Motion even comes with a free Stream Deck template http://tsugi-studio.com/blog/2020/09/24/dsp-motion-and-stream-deck/
  10. Maxime Luft, who founded Organic Samples before going over to Orchestral Tools, has gone independent again. His new company is called Streamtech Music. Iconic Violin is the first release. I think we're going to be hearing a lot about them in the future. There is a big discussion on this on VI:Control here https://vi-control.net/community/threads/new-introducing-iconic-violin-solo-violin-for-the-free-kontakt-player.140865/ Those of you who know me, know that I have been a huge fan of Luft since he started Organic Samples, and did a video on his Solo Opera library. There are two things I particularly like about him: 1) he is a perfectionist, and will not stop until he is completely satisfied and 2) his stuff is very plonkable. You can just load them up and play them and they sound great. He is so young, but if he keeps at it, I think he will become recognized as one of the greats, like Tarilonte and Alex from Cinematic Studio. Hell, I already see him that way. Full disclosure: I was a beta tester on this, so I'm going to be very restrained about what I say. But know that I have I have a lot of great violin libraries, this is something I'm going to use a lot going forward.
  11. One thing that OT doesn't mention is that some of the unusual vocal articulations (nananas, 5th jumps) are in Time Micro. These exotic vocal articulations, available nowhere else, were the main reason I bought the Time series. The main differences are that there are only a small selection of these articulations--Time Micro has a ton more, as does Time Macro. There are only a few notes of each, and they were recorded at Sunset Sound instead of Teldex. But still... IMHO this is one of the best of the SINEFactory instruments. A sweet gift from OT.
  12. I’ve been waiting for something like this for ages. Like most of you, I mainly do hybrid orchestral choral Viking music. This is really going to float my boat!
  13. I paid $199. Back in the days when I had money for such things. While there are many choir libraries and many children's choir libraries, this thing IMHO is better than most libraries of any kind. If you watch videos on this, you'll see what I'm talking about. The UI is amazing and it sounds so beautiful . The perfect package. It's definitely on my list of my very favorite libraries, like Cinematic Studio Strings, Tina Guo Legato, Ancient ERA, Solo Opera, Picked Acoustic, etc. But I don't use it as much as the others, because... it's a freaking children's choir. If you're on the fence, there is no pressure. This sale price comes back all the time. Who knows? Maybe it will be $179 next time around. πŸ˜ƒ
  14. I don’t think it’s ever been less than $189
  15. That is exactly my point. Few people spend time exploring these synths, because a) they are cheap and b) are believed to be unsupported. Much better to get something like Pigments, which has so many free updates. If Spitfire put out Albion One for $29.99, they might make a lot of money, because they would sell a ton of them. But it would destroy their brand. Few would want to pay full price for anything, because who knows how much they might be discounted in the future? And that's the way I feel about absolutely anything AIR comes out with now. Products for $99.99? They may be great, but I'm not going to buy them. InMusic has tainted the perception of the entire brand. And Moog is not the same as Marantz or Alesis. Their products can easily be converted to software. And have been. There are the Moogerfoogers and Model D and Model 15 already are on the iPad. The Moog name means something today. So we'll see what happens.
  16. InMusic has a sad record for diminishing value in brands like SONiVOX and AIR Music Technology. There was a period of six months or so back in 2016-17 when XPand!2 was given away for free at various places. Then it was sold for $1. It's a really good synth/rompler, but it sure devalued people's opinions of it. The SONiVOX strings were available at Plugin Boutique for $1 at that time. A whole string library. Okay, no legato... but a buck? Maybe InMusic makes a lot of money doing this, but people put their heart and soul into these instruments and they were thrown in the bargain bin. And look at SONiVOX's Big Bang Cinematic Percussion. There's a huge bug--they've known about it for almost a decade and won't fix it. So the workaround used to be easy to find online, but I just tried and I can't. Meanwhile they sell it for as much as $79.99. Still a good deal the next time it's $9.99 or less, though, if the bug doesn't bother you.
  17. I have the Pathfinder Cello and it's one of my favorite among Ben's libraries. I didn't buy the violin, but that's because of $$, not because I didn't want it.
  18. What do you mean, no deal? You will soon be able to get Moog products as monthly freebies on Plugin Boutique!! πŸ˜ƒ
  19. That is largely true, but Pathfinder Violin and Pathfinder Cello are NKS instruments and play in the free Kontakt Player.
  20. On VI:Control somebody said this was just a deal for owners of PIANO COLORS, which includes people with Komplete Ultimate. But I bought PIANO COLORS when it came out and I really looked to see if they were offering a bargain for PIANO COLORS owners. I didn't find one. But maybe it only turns up when you check out.
  21. I just discovered something interesting about VOCAL COLORS and Komplete Ultimate 14 CE. As the $149 intro price ends tomorrow, I finally got around to buying it today. As I was preparing to check out, it said that because I have KU14 CE, I could get it for $99. I'll resell it for $99 after I get VOCAL COLORS in KU15 CE in the summer of 2025. Passing it on. I don't know if this works for earlier versions of CE.
