  1. I found this in a search for "music composition compensation".

"Salaries also vary because many composers work freelance or contract assignments as opposed to, or in addition to, steady employment. A music director role is one of the most common jobs related to music composition. Music directors nationally earn on average $35,519 per year."

    Hot.

At some point every guitar player must get one. Resistance is futile.

As far as guitars go, I see the requisite list as an LP, Strat & Tele.

I have the JTV Variax modelling guitar for "off the wall stuff" such as a sitar and acoustics (6 and 12 string).

I always find Warren’s YT videos informative and fun. Is it worth joining?

    TIA

    Hi Tom.

I won a lifetime membership for PLAP some 3 years ago (as it is fondly named by the "Plappers", instead of the loong "Produce like a pro").

The 1st thing I've ever won, if my memory serves me right.

There's a bunch of extra stuff included in the membership, such as discount on certain hardware and plugins. I got my Lewitt 440 Pure with the PLAP discount.

There's a lot of cool and knowledgeable people there as well. I've collaborated with some of them on a few songs, and it is cool.

Even the Bapu himself is also a member there ;)

I would say that it is worth it.

    All the best.

So far it's worth it to me. And... Babylon Is Rising was given Feedback  last month (by a guest host, Manny Nieto, as Warren was on vacation)

Well, actually Reaper had lots of Pan features and I seldom used them. Lyric tracks are a PITA to setup and sync with your project so in my case I am better off just printing the full lyrics. De-Esser... well I have a lot of good de-essers 🤪. Fader Flip looks like a nice addition but I don't think that in my case justify the upgrade. Maybe it is because I do this just as a hobby and not for living...

Yup, I get where you're coming from. 🙂

  5. New Pan features (Dual Pan is the best addition IMO)

    Lyric Track

    Expanded Fader view

    Fader Flip

    De-Esser

These are worth the $114.21 I paid for the upgrade YMMV.

Now thinking in returning to Reaper.

Reaper is a very nice DAW too. I use it occasionally but Studio One fits my workflow needs a little better.

  6. I don't really play guitar so I built this pedal board for my VOX AC-30 to have available for any visiting guitarist. Of course if a player comes with their own pedal board, even betterer.

I built the Ghost Drive (a Klon Klone kit from Stew Mac) but I found the two KTRs on Reverb for $600 and $700. This first KTR is for grit overdive, the last is for clean overdive.

I probably should/could replace the Blue Delay (for fat delay) with another Echoplex (the existing one is for slow delay).

Do you think they lost part of their team and this is the new reality? Or maybe they’ve been working on something big for a while, like an engine rewrite?

    Maybe cross platform on Mac?

    I'll get me coat.

For those that get this far in the post, I'm perfectly aware that they tried it years ago and abandoned it. 🙂

Mine let me have a Taylor 12 string!!! It's nice! Sounds beautiful!!

My 12 string is in my Jamee Tyler Variax (by Line 6), no pesky tung of those 6 extra strings 😉

So is my Martin 6 string.

Simply put I don't own any acoustic 6 string guitars.
