I am very tempted by this. The Padgham kit I have for BFD is OK, but...
The Thomann price is £140 in the UK due to VAT. I may wait but new SDX don't go on sale for ages after release.
Wow, that's only ~£8 discount off the list price. VAT is a killer.

the OP made me realize there have been situations where I wish I had hearing aids so I could take them out 😁

I truly don't understand this company. Particularly when you look at Toontrack, which constantly releasing new stuff. The legendary @Bapu buys practically all of it.

But they haven't abandoned ship. Still pushing out maintenance updates to their software.
Actually, I own all of XLN's line except XO and Trigger. Don't want XO and I already have Slate's Trigger2. I'd never replace/augment with XLN drums but I'll use them as a MIDI drum machine.

Since I mix on headphones, hearing aids are out of the question for music making.
OTH I need them for everyday life and since my old pair do nothing for me (purchased about 12 years ago) it's time to consider getting another pair.

Feedback all night long. Muddy sound, except for the ice-pick 3KHz shrieks.
What a miserable way to spend a Saturday night.
Maybe today you can clear the cobwebs and work on some 'original' music. -

Yeh, if you're doing a solo there are no rules. Put a tambourine between your knees if you want. Hum the national anthem as counterpoint. Anything goes. Just take pity on the rest of us and don't try it on a fretless bass. And for the love of all that's good in the world, tune up first.
Wow, TBH last night I actually though about trying the Bouree solo on my fretless. I guess I'll strike that off my bucket list.

I once had a bass player who loved playing chords. I hated it. Sounds like an amplified wet fart if you're not exceptionally proficient at it.
I've only ever played chords on the bass in a solo. One example is the bass solo in Tull's Bouree.

Didn't Zep release exactly 10 LP's?
t
Nope:
Led Zeppelin (1969)
Led Zeppelin II (1969)
Led Zeppelin III (1970)
Untitled album (1971) (de facto Led Zeppelin IV)
Houses of the Holy (1973)
Physical Graffiti (1975)
Presence (1976)
In Through the Out Door (1979)
Coda (1982)
I saw them on their first US tour and they even played Heartbreaker and Moby Dick and Zep II wasn't even released yet.- 2

As of today my 10 desert island CDs would be (in no order because on a desert island there are no rules):
Marc Cohn's first
Crash Test Dummies first
Abbey Road
Sgt. Peppers
Revolver
Bare Naked Ladies 'Gordon'
Zep II
Zappa's Zoot Allures
Jeff Beck Blow By Blow
Cream Goodbye

in case anyone was interested in what the White Album played live would be like:
I saw The Fab Faux (Will Lee and company) do the White Album live. It was fabulous and they do it with 5 guys instead of 7 or 8.
