almost 200mb just for lite version and simple plugin?
Probably uses wav impulses for some of its distortion types.

Looks promising.

I never fell in love with Ujam products. You get nice sounding results quickly, but they are limited from a certain point. Â
The ones at version 2 do open up a bit more flexibility though. Stuff like instrument mode and drag and drop midi add some real value for me. Ymmv.

Other than breaking Kontakt 6 support have these recent updates added any real value?

It has is handy if you like to audition midi files without more clicks to open up a VST.
A new GM synth shouldn't be too tall of an order for a future Sonar update. In fact the synth engine used to preview midi in Bandlab assistant (before they removed it ) wasn't half bad. Side note, I had hoped Loopcloud would add something like that to preview midi too.

It's not workingÂ
Didn't work for me at 1st. Then I tried it again without translating the page 1st and it worked fine.

but it doesn't look like it's there this time - seems to be at the regular price.
When you click on one of the annual plans to start the process, the price drops automatically before payment.

Is it worth the upgrade from V1?Â
Â
I think the normal upgrade price is about $49 so this is still a really good discount. The fact that you can create your own grooves in instrument mode makes it worth it for me.... YMMV

This.
If you can't manage to scrimp and save to put +/- $100 together, you might want to rethink your priorities.
In somebodies defense, sometime you just spent a huge whop on the PC/Laptop and a set of decent speakers and you think maybe I should give this music thing a try now that I have a decent computer setup. You know, give it a go before I invest even more money on specialized gear and peripherals. Just saying.

I don't think there were any last year. (Previously yes.) Any reason to think there are this year?
Didn't they do a limited time re-do for Ostinato Brass, Strings and Woodwinds? For those who missed it in previous years (you could only choose one though).

Anyways, it’s Kontakt (Player) 7.Â
I guess that version doesn’t require devs to pay NI much. That’s why we’re seeing more and more free Kontakt Player libs.ÂI've thought this to myself for a while now. Way more free options lately for Kontakt Player 7 than any other version before.

In practice, I don't see much traction in those happening simply because the page has so little information on the plugins if any. Even the screenshots for the plugins are the same for all of them.
I felt the same at 1st but the KVR link is really helpful in that regard.

I don’t think it comes with any VST audio effects, as instead the effects are integrated into Vegas and Sound Forge.
You're right. A few are DX fx which show up in Cakewalk still.

One cool note to factor in if you're on the fence about this Vegas deal DaVinci Resolve, is that the FX and Audio plugins that come with Vegas will work in DaVinci.

Not a deal BUT many of these types of plugins ARE on sale right now. So this might be helpful while shopping.
Plus in the Soothe2 alternative thread, there seemed to be some confusion over which plugins did what. This might help clear some things up.

Thanks very much to OP
Question though - how do you install Super 8 R2 please or is it a paid upgrade ? I can only see Super 8 (Realtor version) available for install
The newest version is a Reaktor instrument Use Reaktor to open it or the free Reaktor Player.

I remember version one being the top recommended organ back on the old forum. Cool to see it's finally getting an upgrade.

This comes around once a year. Very high quality. If you hadn't grabbed it in the past, I highly recommend it.

I've noticed in the past that Msoundfactory has a guitar category yet has zero guitars. Hopefully this is an attempt to remedy that with the help of users....?

Creative Sauce Cakewalk Next Video
in Deals

I've come the the conclusion that the name Next represents the next step up, if you're looking to step up from Bandlab's online or mobile DAWs. For some I imagine jumping from the online/mobile stuff to CbB or Sonar would be a huge jump. Next kinda fills the position that Cakewalk Home Studio did from Guitar Studio back in the day.
