Problem solved! Thank you for you input. Turns out it was the proverbial bad cable (cheap). I ordered a wireless MIDI and it works (omniloop, etc.) Now latency issue with wireless. Ugh. Ordering a high quality USB MIDI. I can live with the cable. Thanks! -

I cannot get any recording out of my Roland TD 20 from MIDI output into Cakewalk. Cakewalk does not detect a MIDI signal. Using USB MIDI cable in Win10. ("USB Midi" detected, all on Omni). I know MIDI does not have its own sound; this is about no input into cakewalk (detection by). Keyboard works perfectly but not getting same with TD20 MIDI. Novice recorder here. Thank you for any help!
