Expires 31st December so I'll research further after Christmas!

Can't see this one here. I don't seem able to post the link but head over to NI to find the voucher
Cleverly it starts at a £90 spend - 50p more than a crossgrade to Kontakt7 so I would have to buy one of their £22 instruments / packs to get Kontakt cheaper. Pretty good deal though and I am increasingly tempted as Kontakt also includes two free Play Series (though I can't find much tempting in there!) -
Fair comment - I think some of us might have been (hopefully unnecessarily) worried about the way the thread might go
I believe Mike is one of the good guys and I'm probably a bit over protective because of what I owe to his tutorials and the way he presents them. He has shown great candour in personal issues which I find warms me to him even more.- 2

Not sure that dissing Mike is super helpful, everyone has to make a living and if he's covering both bases - good for him.....
So I for one, am grateful for Mike for this and his other videos - they have helped my production skills considerably - long may they continue.
I get it, his style and content are not for everyone but better to just go elsewhere for your tutorials than to criticise the guy.
Just my 2c
Andy
Well said!

I've been following DixonBeats for a couple of years now and not had any problems with spamming. He sends an email out when he has a new video up or (rarely) when he has some news. He has just done a huge giveway for reaching 80k YouTube followers and occasionally gives his own sample packs & VSTs away. One of the good guys in my opinion!

Yes I'm eagerly looking forward to this year's gift. Got a few nice individual instruments with the voucher over last few years
Re Spitfire - I think LABS dried up when Christian Henson left. He now has his own Crow Hill company and they have issued two free instruments so far. Piano and strings

Thanks - shame that the Sine Free Instruments seem to have dried up

Damn I didn't realise they were giving away limited numbers of licences this year otherwise I'd have been there! Having said that I haven't managed to figure out a previous version of Ostinato I got free yet!

When I went to access the Beat magazine downloads last month I got a malware warning (from Malwarebytes Browser Guard I think). I can't imagine there would be a problem there but it frightened me off!

As per my reply to Wibbly, the free-ness of the crossword outweighs the editorial bent of the newspaper itself 😊
That's how they reel you in. You'll be reading Mein Kampf next and forecasting arctic blasts in June 😉

mmm - I have downloaded this but, although it appears in my library browser, there seems to be no presets there. Also I am pretty sure I downloaded a load of other free presets when I first got Analog Lab Lite but they don't appear to be there now. Haven't used it for ages so maybe I'm misremembering!

I didn't realise they were based in Huddersfield! Used to visit there often when we lived in Bradford.

Thanks for all the work on this - I didn't get round to posting my favourites but I reckon they are all there anyway 🙂

Happy to clarify
I think it is highly unlikely that Sonar will become available for Mac as it would involve a huge amount of work - never say never though! Next has been written from initiation as a cross platform programme
Enjoy Next - I haven't looked at it yet - got my hands full still learning Cakewalk by Bandlab! I'd be more likely to go across to Sonar if it is cheap enough or stay on CbB until it breaks through a Windows update. -
They are two completely different software programmes
Cakewalk by Bandlab is the currently free DAW that is an improved version of the old Sonar software - though without some of the instruments and effects that came with Sonar
Cakewalk Next is a new programme which is currently in public beta and which may not have a scoring facility. Discussion on Next is on a Discord page. This forum is for Cakewalk by Bandlab which is shortly to be replaced by the (paid for_ new SonarHope this helps

For UK forum members: An ideal game for Therese Coffey - except that she is in the corrupt vegetable government 🙂

Is Play a reworked version of Lite? Does it have the same sounds? It looks like it but not certain from the video I have seen
