  1. Yup, it is logical not to let plugin to be in state when user cannot access controls of plugin container. It could lead to cut user away of possibility to change anything at container level. And this requires better design and implementation of plugins to take it into account. This is why I was grumbling about GUI

    Waves $1 Sale

I fully agree It seems to be surprising how useful are old Waves plugins. But when thinking more, if they were few years ago good to create great mixes why they should stop be useful?
  3. It could be hard to answer... Personally I am not very impressed so far to be honest. Trying it on 22 unprocessed tracks. Even without any touch changes can be heard and it is adding a little clearance but I am not always picking processed one as preferred in blind test Because it is little over-simplistic it is hard to test (no way to change setting for group of instances at the same time like in NLS or SlateVCC) what is painful as need to do every instance separately (even to change flavor US -> BR ). I would disagree, Brian, Using it on 22 tracks I needed to add gain plugin to decrease output (easier to test switching FX button and turning off all instances together with gain plug). While in Sonar there are no issues as in S1 I dislike how it looks inside plugin container because it like something not matching plugin container. Of course it is partially (?) issue of Sonar's plugin container itself. I can manually resize it to have it nice but any try to resize increasing canvas instantly (Sonar, I mean CbB, is forcing to have all plugin container controls visible). Plus is they implemented resizing and maybe in other DAWs it is working decently? Anyway considering it is for free by now and changing 'colors' in different way I am glad to have it. Hoping they will improve its workflow in mass operations (especially groups are very welcome). Otherwise in my case it will never be used on many tracks at once, too many time wasted to check different settings. But because I never mixed on real console my opinion about sound is worth like just my taste. Maybe analog mixers could say a word about its sound?
  4. The same issue here. Trying to resize and it is making it mad. Even crashed S1. Buggy thing
  5. Is it only my impression that United Plugins is new 'Plugin Alliance' ?
  6. I believe, Zo, after 2-3 months when they have sales stats they will know real reality (tautology What we can observe over last 2 years (or more?) they are changing every few months a little sale model and trying to find the right one which brings them good profit and spread they brand. Imho this is not the end of their researches
  7. I bet such offer would be considered by many people But for EU citizens it should be $6 for 10 plugs because VAT thing is increasing total cost for us.
  8. Wait for next offer I think at $1 subscription it could be not only funny but game changer. Maybe it would be 1 plugin subscription (but of course user select
  9. Please do not forget to share link with us when ready It could be an anthem for sound engineers

    Studio One 4.5.3

Yep, I can add preset and name it anything, the question is are you able to setup grid with resolution 1/128? Is it really quantize to this measure? I googled that and found a forum thread with kind of reference to mystery zip on daw.one, but site not available so no way to check
  11. Yes, Brian. You are right. But I didn't say it is offer for everybody and was not trying to justify existence of it for everyone. In fact there is no such deals , even $29 deals are not so affordable when we would like to have many plugins... Maybe $4 deals In case that I was considering, you have of course your project with those plugs anyway, so if after some time there is a need to do something different it is still possible at additional cost but no need to buy all those plugins. To be clear, I have lots of plugins because I prefer to own them. But I am not against concept of subscription as in some case it is very economic and efficient. And in fact I have 1 subscription (Slate) and I am also happy with it (as I like almost all their plugs but I would not be able to buy them all). Anyway it was only my speculation about reasons from PA and their target for this offer. I can be wrong. Just I can imagine myself if I had good recording tracks and would need to complete mix just buy a subscription for a month to have access to tools without need to buy them (maybe PA, maybe kush, or something else needed). After it I would reender, backup stems (and project of course). You are right it requires some experience but I assume people are aware why they are buying something (including service). If they realized they are wrong it was little risk (in this case 13$). And if after year I would need to remake project again differently I can imaging even replacing all plugins with different ones. Anyway I have no intention to convince anybody to buy subscriptions Just trying to see both sides as sharing both concepts (lots of plugins owned + subscription model). Sorry for not beeing in just one camp Even not talking about costs, targets, every person has his/her own preference and feel better when following them.
  12. I know this very well... But it is because of no deadlines, nobody is pushing you hard to finish quick, you can do it at anytime so no need to rush, etc... But every new not completed thing in suspension is a blocker which affect your good mood, your next work, isn't it?
  13. Why after having whole month time to mix anything need to tweak it again? After finishing project you would render it to stems and its done. Worse case scenario. After few months you realized you need to do it differently you could buy another month (so cost rised to 2x13$). But no need to start anything from scratch unless you would need different plugins. Hm, maybe I didn't get it well but I am not quite sure why anybody would need to mix the same project again and again longer than month...
  14. Hm, probably I will anyway I cannot do anything more. The previous year group buy I also finished with some available slots and they kept them many months available but finally went into vanish. So of course better option is to pick even doubles.... Just wondering is it meaningless... Or like you said one day...
  15. I am not jealous I am happy if there are more opportunities for others even if I cannot participate. In fact I got my own good deal with the promo and completed everything in price up to 99$ so I am happy But anyway it is bothering me if there is any sense to pick anything that I already have just to use those slots. Or it is meaningless...
  16. Hm, I am in strange situation. It seems I will have more slots available to pick in promotion but no use as I already have everything on that price level... Is any point to get again plugin or bundle I already have? Currently 2 available to pick and download but thanks to promo extension it will be more... I know, kind of stupid dilemma but those available are little bothering me
  17. I believe they built this offer for different purpose. They didn't think about year subscriptions only monthly so more random and occasional. So let's consider such case: I don't want to subscribe permanently or invest a lot in great plugins just need to create one mix and would find those plugins useful. So I would pay just only for 1 month, do mix with those plugins, create processed stems, backup, sell mix to customer and done. If no orders I am stopping subscription if any new orders I am buying again only 1 month for a gig. I think this was their concept in a background for this offer. Probably assuming if that worked for somebody the person would consider buying bigger offer or more permanent if more orders from customers in horizon. And maybe even more for home recording people who have no lots gigs but from time to time want to mix and publish their own things (let's say once per year). 1 month should be enough for mixing and mastering, when everything is recorded. So a person having all multitracks prepared could buy just 1 month to do needed job, so in such case cost would be 13$ for job done and for year. People especially hobbyists have often lots plugins on shelves not used, and many month without any gig to earn money (or no at all). So it would be more economic when there is a time (maybe vacation in their real work) to dedicated month for Disclaimer: I would like not to be considered to be a person who is subscription hater but as subscription lover either Just analyzing possibilities and cases From my perspective, I have so many plugins I am secured on every occasion (not including war of course).
  18. Yup, unfortunately. This is why I have only 1 of their paid plugins (tape). But to be honest I am not missing anything. They do not have anything what cannot be replaced well by a plugin from other manufacturer. The tape is nice thanks to its integration to S1 so maybe it is kind of exception but fortunately there are good deals for it.

    Studio One 4.5.3

When Sonar seemed to be abandoned in development I bought S1. But still my first choice is mostly CbB. In few things it is class for its own. If it only would be not so crashy (I have had zylion of crashes for different reasons on 2 different comps) and if it's workflow things were finished... But still.... For instance biggest Sonar's resolution for notes is 1/128 while S1 only 1/64... I tried to suggest to PreSonus improvement but seems they don't find it so important. But it improves precision in everything related to snap in audio editing. Pro musicians in fact are precise even more than at 1/128 resolution. To verify efficiency of practicing I am using always Sonar thanks to its better resolution. In GUI customization it is also much better than S1. Pro channel is also nice thing. It is so pity it was not supported and opened to 3-parties much more... It would be great to have it as a standard Also GUI of Sonar I am finding the best between any other DAWs I have seen.

    Waves $1 Sale

    or at Koby's shop ~$13.55
  22. Everything can be sold, Zo It is always matter of price
  23. Yup, nothing left to buy for me on that price level. I have only some offers $99 but voucher could only neutralize cost of VAT so I will pass and wait for next changes in sale strategy from PA
  24. Anybody interested? I cannot do anything reasonable with it.
