Exactly! It is very useful little thing, especially almost everybody has SM57 or 58. And even without any source mic owned it is great thing to change sound Kind of 'prototype' idea for things like Slate mic emulation without need to buy dedicated gear just having one of present in the list of sources.

Hm, for sure it is weakness related to collecting... But could be also kind of sentiment... Interested in it long time ago just after release but couldn't afford in that time. I feel I can emulate similar effects and too many great deals around so some things must wait, the others must be just skipped... Good to know they are getting better and evolve I must say this Navy thing is really interesting. I have no UAD version. Nor access to real Neve preamp/EQs so no idea how they would sound in my context but anyway comparing to lots of other implementation I have (and like them) it is the only one which make me think of strange and overused word 'warm' Other ones sound more 'clinical'. Not in bad sense. They are also nice but kind of different universe of sound. In fact choice depends strongly on context so I am still glad to have them. Or maybe I am hopelessly GAS infected and it is only internal justification to have many plugins?

I bought Nave and it is really sounding different (warmer than any other Neve emulations I have. The only thing I can complain is some performance issues under Sonar (crack, artifacts). I need to find out how to resolve it. They also consume lot of space by design. But nowadays it is not such big deal. Try their free plugs to check by yourself if you find them interesting.

Do not regret anything If you used them and have fun it was worth at that time... But if you bought and leave them alone so it could be pure GAS indication

While I am not pro I would like to put my few thoughts here. Guitar is very hard instrument to check by yourself if you have never played. The best what one can do (and I do whenever I can) try to ask experienced guitar guy to go with you to guitar shop. If one has no any familiar session/gig musician to ask even less experienced guy is better than try sound of guitar by oneself.
