Hi guys, if you know me a little you know how much I hate not optimized for workflow and not thoughtful design... I have been complaining about it a lot... But after wasting time to clean after plugin managers again and again... I decided to try again to approach developer with some attempts to force them to start understand at last it is not minor issue making their users to waste time and make then angry... So this is my post to Waves: Feel free to join to make them to notice a problem after so many years of ignoring it... Or if you prefer feel free to show them your love for such approach... 😛 Here are my words: ---- Hello You are very experienced plugin company, I like your plugin as despite of trends or fashion the only rule if sounds good then sounds good. So even for oldest plugins if it sounded in records few year ago it would probably still sound good. But there is one thing you should be ashamed of... Seriously... Why WaveCentral is still (it continues it by so many years) so mindless? To be specific: 1. Why I cannot set which folder for VST I wish to pick?? Instead it is forced... 2. Why I cannot decide which version of plugins I want to have installed? VST or VST3 ? 64-bit and NOT 32-bit! 3. Why it is forcing install AAX version of plugins for users who never got Pro Toolls ??? 4. Why WC is trashing my disk and precious place with all possible versions? In consequences VST scanning last few times more than it should ! It is kind of laziness and - forgive harsh word - mindless of designers/developers to assume 'less needed support when putting everything everywhere' so it is good... Even very small developers started many years ago to provide installers when we could pick where to install and what version to install to minimize space disk used and time needed for VST scans ! That's absolutely true. But unfortunately it is also a proof they care more about their marketing goals than about their customers feelings... How hard it would be to prepare campaign where they started with some general info (what tool, what purpose etc) and then added some more details every day? That way they would show respect for time of customers not interested given tool and in the same time giving chance to keep interest and excitement for the rest. I prefer honesty and direct and serious treatment of customers over messing around of excitement and keeping interest with content empty info.

I feel the same about it. The new (&old?) fashion to approach somebody just to tell 'hey, I will have something new and interesting, I will tell you in a week, bye' is for me kind of disrespect for customer... If they don't want to say anything meaningful why they are bothering me? I don't even know if it relates to my interest so they just for sake of their marketing they are making me anxious. I would love to know if they would like company who would treat them the same way? Do they like calls just disrupting their work which didn't say anything meaningful? I would prefer to get only info with a content. Even NASA is better. At last they have said their announcement is to be related to Moon and Artemis mission.

I am afraid in such case we will have the same situation as in past years during BF at JRR... It is a pity... I don't remember a single buy at JRR during any BF since I have started to buy plugin but do remember JRR site crashed at those days... I wish it would be differently this time... Well, anyway fingers crossed and we will see

I believe the main question here is how good their headphones are. Retail for Sennheiser HD650 is $500. They are offering for $479.99 theirs plus modelling software... So waiting for honest review for software.... Their concept to provide transparent hardware (to keep consistency of results ) plus modelling software is briliant. And software can be improved without forcing owner to invest again in new product.

Grats, @Peter - IK Multimedia. It is great idea to encourage people. Usual way of marketing/advertising videos always sounds great from almost any manufacturers but leaves the question how it translates to exact real sound. But often some experience is required to get good tone and tone depends on few things, signal level including... In fact showing every single detail how to setup, what exactly is used would be nice way to confirm value of a new product. Especially for people who want to demo it but can do it in not best way and getting results which can discourage them against buy. I can remember when I was testing one of PA amp sim after its release I got terrible impression but discovered later on I was driving it too much with signal level. With lower level of input actually it sounded very nice at clean tone. Etc...

grrr.. another mindless plugin manager forcing installation of 32bit and aax regardless if needed or not .. Just let's install everything everywhere possible not to work to much with improvement or thinking and not to be bothered by users... Is it really 2020 for developers or still in XX century' ? 😞

Can it be used as VST?

In O9 you have only MP3 and AAC (but nice feature is solo artifacts) and no advance metering (you would need use Insight2), This plugin is providing ready to use profiles for streaming services. Everything seems to be focused on purpose of publishing/comparing While I didn't test it yet, I believe it is must have for anyone who wants to publish music to streaming services.

Yep, true, he deserved by his kindness our support and second chance when problems are solved... But on the other side I understand people who started to distrust the site. The harsh true is such long problems with site being down (not the first place) show some serious problems. Maybe to be able to provide low prices for us they decided so save and not to hire skilled IT guy? but do everything by themselves and it turned to it is too complicated things? I have seen in my IT work history some bad migration or service rescues. But never like that. Where backup plan, where recovery plan? But anyway, they must feel terrible about it so I don't want to shoot to them now. Crossing fingers for happy end and for learning their lesson at last. Site can break, but they should be prepared for such opportunities, backup restore cannot be longer than few hours (for huge DB and many obstacles) and if they are trying to mess around code they should do it in professional fashion. Cannot connect to DB error message should never be seen by anybody shopping... Etc... But I had in the past good experience with them so I give them another chance... Of course if I am putting myself into a risk...

Generally speaking, I like it. Especially because of non-conventional approach and great workflow but it requires a lot of cpu and I have only i5 4460 so need to set buffer to big values what make thing for rare use to me... To be honest when thinking with cold head and looking at reverbs already bought I should probably skip that deal but well... you know It was different, unique so of course I was unable to resist. And don't take me wrong I like how it sounds but having gotos with other proven reverbs it is just let's say only adding different animal to my arsenal... Maybe if I upgraded my machine to be able to run smoothly with demanding plugins I would take opportunities to use it more often and like more.

Funny thing... I have smart:reverb and smart:EQ 2 so only smart:comp lacking to have all parts from smart:bundle... but... My price at Sonible for smart:bundle upgrade is 149.17 EUR but price for smart:comp alone is 107.50 EUR... Both prices are discounted comparing to ones when I am not logged in...

I like both Uncles and JRR However before BF I am wondering if this year JRR will disappear again for most hot days with a message about problems with database connection or so...
