I understand being frustrated but that shouldn't lead to conjecture and insulting developers.

Sorry, no insulting intended, btw I didn't say lazy developers but picking lazy way. Kind of difference.  And it was kind of general referral .  I am not aware about details of designing decision fot ATR5 project and picked libraries and test for user experience...

Of course I am very appreciating the best deal ever here as all other guys. The question is should I because of that just be dishonest and say only expected sweet things?
If nobody says something is wrong (because they love devels and scare to insult them with saying anything other than expected thanks and love u) what would be motivation to fix anything?

If nobody complains about ultra long load time so maybe devels consider it is great. This is making me pretty sad... :(

So now maybe I should be  waiting for hate and ban...   But even if you kill me for that it will not resolve the issue which is in code...

Ok, I will not say any word anymore... Stay in peace...

And one more data point for this latest AT 5 version, this time I tested its performance in Studio One 5.4 rather than CbB. It showed about the same increase as with Cakewalk, so performance does not appear to be DAW related.

So probably best to use "Freeze" when multi-tracking guitars with AT 5 on each guitar track. Or get a computer like Bapu has! 🤣

    Yep and pretty sad...

Developers so often pick an easy and lazy way (and cheaper) and instead mastering performance to let their app run nicely on as many computers as possible they are finding very fast ones to have a prove it is working fast so why you are complaining... :lol

This side of AT5 really sucks comparing to other competitors, unfortunately or to AT4   from our beloved devels ;)

    TH-U loading time ~5sek

    AT5 ~20sek on my computer (i5, 16GG, SSDs)

Actually not. This is old news. IKM will only extend if the GB reaches 20K by the end of September. We are not there yet.

Yep, I was not precise. They not extended yet. However they give a chance to extend which I believe will be used.

Old news? Hm, I had to miss it then...

Ah thanks for clarifying, Piotr. It's confusing as the following page under pricing plans says only thing free is a 30 day trial :

    https://www.two-notes.com/en/torpedo-series/torpedo-wall-of-sound/

I hadn't scrolled down far enough before to see the installer. All installed and working now

In fact normally to have fully working WoS you  would have to buy at least 1 cab (~8 EUR with VAT). But as they are giving away a pack of cabs so you have all free.

It was how it always worked before because - you are right - the current info page is pretty  confusing.

Here is their explanation about it https://support.two-notes.com/knowledgebase.php?article=280

I just redeemed this but how do I use them?? Do I need to pay for the Torpedo app to actually use them?

Nope, app is free for download. They charge only for cabs.

It is similar thing to Amplitube CS, you have app and you can try and buy individual cabs or via their web including packages

I had been experiencing this too and thought it was my computer!  I guess I'm glad it isn't just me.  Maybe IK will address this soon.

Nope, it's not definitely you :)  Unfortunately I have bad feeling about possibilities to fix it. It looks like design mistake so not easy thing to fix.

    But maybe I am pessimist.

I've got all the Amplitube stuff, and most of the Nembrini/PA models.

I really like the PA Fuchs Train II, but the Kuassa offerings are my favourites. The Matchlock is really outstanding for Fender styles. I have the Lancaster (AC30) and Clarrent (Orange) models as well, but haven't tried them yet.

This is showing how much depends on our personal taste :)

I kind of a liked Vermilion and Creme but  felt still not what I was after. After releasing matchlock I tested it and didn't like. It chopped sounds and I felt as if the amp sim was sick with whooping cough. Probably I could spend more time to adjust settings but my first impression was so strongly unpleasant I just didn't want to use it. Looking something what would impress me from the first touch.

Nembrini things tested all and while bought SLO emulation (v1,v2) I didn't use it in fact as I didn't like those harshness in their all amp sims, Again, using externals cab sims I could probably be closer sound I like but having so many alternatives (and being lazy ) I prefer something what instantly can make me happy over things requiring extra time to look for something usable.

Having such huge difference between opinion about sound we see clearly how important is company is delivering a possibility to test before buy to us ;)

I was gladly surprised by Overloud some time ago discovering they finally gave option to test their RIGs before buy. Unbelievable we were waiting for it so long but at last they got it that people rarely liked buying in blind just after watching their demo video.

I ve found a support page explaining that all previous websites purchsed stuff will not appears and the only proof of purchase is our ilok thing , anything purchased in the new website will appears then as mentionned before. .... so i created a new account since old credentials didn t worked ....

yep, they totally screw things up... There is no logical reason not to migrate transparently orders  data from older site... Their explanations are just plain....

There is only one logical explanation - they lost all or part of customer's data  related to orders or access to them and that's it. They are trying to cover real things (probably highly embarrassing for them) with all those nonsense. Pretty lame....

BTW this is nice presentation to all mates who don't like  ;) You see one of advantages for keeping all licenses from different brands in one inventory. Everything in one place and also authorization for plugin usage is not depending directly and exclusively on  plugin provider anymore (although they have of course authority to block via ilok request). Yep, I know, I know ;) black side is of course if ilok fails we are losing access to zylion of plugins at once  :D

Hi Piotr, completely out of interest to demo and not debating -- if you wish to share, which ones would you consider top-tier at this point?

I upgraded to AT5 and have a couple of the Neural/PA/Nembrini ones, but haven't tried things from most newer developers e.g. ML Sound Lab.

I am aware perception of sound is often related to personal taste although there are some details which imho saying much about quality like lack of unwanted harshness, clarity, thoughtful gui (PA for instance has probably the worst option ever  for changing IRs, btw), possibility  to change in such way to get good tone or if it is really similar to original tone (for cases where  something is claiming it is digital version of another thing). But the latest is not so important for me as long as I like result.

I have a few personal favorites. For instance NeuralDSP Soldano SLO100 and Archetype Cory Wang, They have all things mentioned.

Vox-like sim I like the most from from NI Guitar Rig6. I like Amplitube Fenders (although mostly using A4, A5 has still some issues, loading very long and seems to be more crashy than others). Btw standalone Amplitubes have the best looper comparing to any standalone sim I ever tested. While maybe there are few things I would gladly see improved still ways ahead any competitions as helper in practice or  ideas recorder.

On the other side is THU looper, the worst thing ever made which should make Overloud embarrassed whole life...  But wait/// there is even something more embarrassing there like artificially splitting amp channels just to let their marketing lye to people how many amps they are having in their collection... So annoying and decreasing workflow... Is even 1 person on the world who is believing in primitive lie?

But to be fair, in addition to these and a few workflow nonsense they are very good sound-wise., including infamous RIG Player ;) And also STL Tones with their ToneHub (the same idea like THU Rig player) or Amphub.

There are some  underestimated like  Mercuriall SS-11X, ML5 from ML Sound Lab or  pretty ancient Revolver 4 with many nice choices.

But always it is the best to test any amp sim by yourself as there are factors which are different for different people like guitar itself, signal level, guitar technique, music type preference (for instance while I love lots of metal things I hate very scooped sound of guitars) or plugin settings...  But the latest one is imho part of quality of plugin, If you can get good tone in no time it is good, right? But if you need to waste many minutes to tweak, change IR, or whatever it is not good thing.

I can remember I have appreciated TH3 pretty late (having it free in Sonar) as most (all?) presets were so terrible I didn't believe it could sound good... But at that time I also din't realize how much different signal from guitar influence the tone. For instance if gainy preset was made using active pickups and 7 string guitar there would be a chance for it to sound terrible on single coins etc

  11. While I am not a big fan of PA amp sims (after grabbing much better ones from different brands) Pete's amp emulation and this one especially still looks very tempting to countless collection...

    Anyway demoing doesn't hurt :)

Pretty much. I wasn't expecting very high quality.  But what I heard on the demos sound decent. Using this I could come up with a pop tune pretty quik.

That's true although it would be nice to have some velocity layers to avoid very boring sound.

Even if many songs on radio are boring it doesn't mean we would like to continue this 'practice'

Electronic drums in pop songs aren't generally known for multi-layer dynamics. Put it this way: you've got a library of pretty good sounding pop drums (albeit probably single dynamic, as per the target music genre), and some MIDI patterns for fairly cheap - a typical MIDI pack might cost that much.

Thanks, I will take this as I need to justify my buy somehow... It has trial so in fact I could just try it instead of buying in blind (GAS level3)...

  14. Hm, I was also excited... bought...

after seeing whole blob containing sounds is only 20MB so I was little bit disturbing by it so did a track with MIDI with increasing velocities set and well...

I don't think anymore it is real good deal...  Of course we can still automate volume of audio but well...

On the top of that disappointment I realized I missed to use voucher to save $5... ech...
