  1. Yup...the VST3 to VST2 swap is a good idea...I have to do that with several newer plugs due to the fact that Cake, apparently, doesn't work with all newer VST3s. But that's not the problem here. I finally fixed it by completely removing all sound paths from ST4...making sure that the "custom path" box was checked in the IK Product Manager...and then adding back in only the direct sound paths to ST3, ST4, Syntronic and SampleTron. That did the trick. Thanks to all for the suggestions. I've made note of them all in case this crops up again. 🙂
  2. Yup...using the latest version of SampleTank 4. Removed all duplicate sound paths in the standalone version...which runs fine...and rescanned all sound content. But after instantiating it in Cake and loading an instrument...as soon as I try to click on the midi track and try to play it...it crashes straight to the desktop. No hang...no revolving blue circle...just straight to the desktop.
  3. The last couple of times (which, admittedly is infrequent) that I've tried to use SampleTank 4 in Cake it crashes to the desktop when trying to play any instrument. Any help on this???
  4. Yup...that's the last one I tried to buy where my Jam Points didn't work. But later the same week they did. Was able to get my 30% off. Go figure.
  5. Tried to purchase the Chicarelli Vocal plug but even though the Jam Points dialog is on the checkout page...and even though there is no mention in the email promo or on the checkout page saying Jam Points are invalid...it won't accept any points at all. This also happened for a sale purchase last year...but after waiting a few days and then trying to purchase again the points went through. So...I'm waiting again because...yes...I'm a cheapskate.
  6. While I've discovered that I can load the tonex models into Amp 5, I'm still unable to do what I really want to: Tweak a preset in Tonex (which gives you much more control in tweaking the tone model) and then import that new preset into Amp 5. Even with my interweb sleuthing I still haven't found how to a: do that and b: whether this is actually possible or not. Your thoughts??
  7. Downloading guitar picks?? I don't think that's possible unless you have a 3D printer.
  8. Figured it out...they DO show up but just as the name of the preset along with eleventy jillion other models...not as ODS Legends group. So...I'll just have to name all my tweaks to these models with a proprietary name to get them to show up together in the list. No biggie.
  9. Yup...that I can do...but the ODS Legends are a "signature" series and I can't get them to show up at all in AT5. I CAN get many other Dumble patches to list but not the special Legends group. Dern.
  10. Yup Tom, I know that VST3s have the vst3 suffix. And the Pro-L2 is right there in the common files vst3 folder correctly. But no love after several scans and a re-install. But the VST2 works fine so no real harm...no foul.
  11. I miss you guys too. But I am a lazy sumbitch as you know. And fairly self-centered. And distracted. What were we talking about?
  12. I just picked this up and while I can get it to work in Tonex I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it to show up in Amplitube 5 which I would much prefer. Supposedly it will work but so far I haven't been able to sleuth how.
  13. Hey Ampfixer, ol pal...yup I'm hangin around a bit...and hope to do more of it. I've missed all the swell eggs around here. And mettelus, I did a new install. No love. Dern!
  14. Did the scan that Bitflipper suggested and the FabFilter Pro-L2 shows up in the scan of the Common Files Folder but still is not seen by the plugin manager. What next Bit??
  15. Thanks to all for the suggestions. Yes I did a reset and scan. No love. The missing VST3s are all in the common files folder as they should be but don't scan. One...the new G-Force M-Tron has a weird suffix...not "dll" which I figure is it's problem. But the new Fab Filter L2 upgrade has the usual .dll suffix but still doesn't scan. And...yup, I miss you loveable lugs and should get back to hanging around more...maybe a New Year's Resolution?
