  1. Uh-oh.... This does not sound like the Labs we have gotten in the past which were always free.

    Here's what the website says:

"We have built something special for you.

Have your say, get a free trial and discounted early access by joining the waitlist."

  2. I like the Ugritone drums, but I recently purchased their TRVE Cab bundle (an impulse response player and a collection of IRs).

It does not work properly (weird beeping sounds and sliders that are too sluggish to use), so I emailed them about the problems.   I didn't hear back from

them, so I emailed them again.  And again.  And again.   Yes - 4 times (and over the course of several weeks), and yet no response from their support email.

Their website says they offer a "no-questions-asked" refund policy within 6 months of a purchase.   In my emails to them I even said a store credit would be fine if they can't fix the problems.

Does anyone know how to reach them other than their support email?

I don't want to write a bad review, but maybe that's the only way to get their attention?

Is it stable? I am still on a lookout for a new daw to replace Cubase. I use lots of midi and multi timbral VSTs

Extremely stable and extremely CPU efficient.

Didn't Bapu do a test a few years ago comparing various DAWS and found Reaper was the best CPU-wise?

Just check it out and see if it's good for you - they give you a free 60 day trial.

I can't figure out how to set the Midi Channel

Click on the camera icon and then the display will change to the one shown with your Field Drum.   Then you can set both the Output and the Midi channel - usually these would be set to the same number.

Ideally, you should run one instance of Kontakt with multiple outputs - each instrument with its own Output and Midi channel.

I'd love to hear from people who are using it

Ujam will give you a free 30 day trial so you can check it out.

I was pleasantly surprised.  It's basically an interesting bunch of effects in an easy to use interface.

Seems well worth the $19 price.

Even their highest discount still makes them significantly more expensive

I put 3 guitars in my cart (after logging into my account) and it came to $188 - about $63 per guitar.

I think that's very reasonable for these high quality instruments.

  7. I listened to the demos.... I really hate the crackling sound.    I would hope you can turn it off, otherwise I would never consider this product.

(Is there some reason we cannot call something Lo-Fi without having the crackles?)

  8. I downloaded the upgrade to Scaler last night and played with it a bit.  Then I opened EZKeys2.  I dragged a progression from Scaler into the chords section of the Bandmate area on EZKeys2.

I then put the progression into the track and used the Replace MIDI feature to convert the original Scaler progression into countless variations.   I'm amazed at this new Replace MIDI feature!

    It's a very nice workflow - Scaler to EZKeys2.

that new Fazioli grand is five times the size of the original EZK grands at 2.5 GB.
    That’s worth something.

I'm REALLY liking the new EZkeys2, but like all Toontrack products I find their instruments to be just so-so.    And yes, this new grand piano in EZkeys2 is pretty good.   But I substituted some of my PianoTeq grand pianos and well, they just blew away the Toontrack grand.

And I don't mean this as a knock on Toontrack as I think the strength of their products is their compositional abilities - and I believe EZkeys2 is the best product they have ever made in that regard.

if you pull in loops that are 'close' to 132,

How do you pull in the loops that are close to 132?

That seems to be THE problem that I can't solve and why I am suggesting that Toontrack needs to add a BPM range request... for example, show me the grooves that are within 10% or 20% of 132.
