  1. Last year I bought a Roland System-8 synth and I sign Play4Life as a cheaper way to get lifetime keys for the softsynths I can upload (or plug-out in Rolandese) to it. This year I'll keep the keys for the new released Jupiter 4 and the Juno 60. I paid $199 for the subscription and those two keys worth $378. It's a way to add value to my System-8 purchase.
  2. Thanks to this topic I just purchased Total Studio Max 3.5 for the same price; a much better deal. So, at least for me, I'll have to deal with this sound libraries issues again.
  3. I know that. And because the sound libraries can be multi gigabyte in size is precisely why this policy sucks and possibly force us to make unecessary downloads.
  4. I totally agree that paying to reactivate downloads sucks and the best reason against this is that we could download only what we'd use and when we'd use. But download for two OSes is too much trouble to save 10 bucks IMO. I mean... how much would cost me to change from PC to the cheapest Mac if I ever need?
  5. Don't forget to use your Jampoints. Total Studio Max is $70 for me.
  6. The best creative sequencer from them is Obscurium IMO but I had nothing but trouble trying to use it with synth plugins that are not from Sugar Bytes itself (not to mention that it does not work with HW synths). That's why I wanted Thesys. It's more direct for this kind of use, although way more limited. I finally got it and I'll see. Thanks again.
  7. I always wanted Thesys. It's a simple sequencer but I can imagine many ways to use it, specially with external hardware synths. It was sold years ago for $12 at Musiciansfriend (I think) but only in physical media and only in the USA. I have a rule that I always register the lowest sale price I find for a plugin and I set that as the top price I'm willing to pay for it in the future (if I cannot get the plugin during that sale, of course). But in this case I'll break this rule because I never saw this plugin for download for so low before. And I'm waiting that for some years now. Thanks for MusicMan and Doug Rintol for mentioning this JRR sale. If it ccame before I didn't noticed and would let it Lars... I mean... pass!!! Edith says: that If I keep trying I'll eventually succeed in saying something funny in a foreign language but she does not have much hope for me.
  8. $29.40 for me too and I have the Elevate Bundle and the Generate Synth. Regarding the products the Equivocate equalizer (included in the bundle) has a match EQ function that works with a sidechain input and it'd the best I ever used. I'm not sure if I love their GUI though. It's compact and works but these square faders are a bit weird IMO.
  9. I'm missing only 15 or so plugins from the list. I wonder how much would be my offer for this. No email received also.
  10. My last upgrade was to version 4 and I paid $60 for it.
  11. I have the real deal. A nice synth and a no brainer for the intro price. The only problem is that in that realm the competition is fierce. If you like this kind of sounds and don`t have something similar already I`d say it`s a very good deal. I`ll get it for sure.
  12. It looks that there's no error in the ad. They explicitly show how much you're saving: was $ 329.00 Save $ 279.00 | Sale ends December 5th
  13. OK. In the video they show the voices without instruments. I agree that this can be very useful in productions. And for 10 bucks it's a no brainer if you are into pop songwriting. Also I imagine one can build different harmonies with the solo voices and something like Melodyne f.i. Or even create eerie ambient sounds with spectral freeze or granular processing.
  14. I'm hearing the demo. If these loops have the instruments along with the voices they are useless IMO.
  15. I have many duplicates in the form of VST2 and VST3, although I always try to install only the VST3 whenever there's this option. Also I tend to keep installed and active only the plugins that I can activate via iLok, pen drive, cloud or unrestricted serial numbers (and I keep my iLock ZDT and insurance updated for peace of mind). I don't like the idea of having my precious licenses "burned" in a computer HD that can go south at any time. I lost a set of Arturia V Collection licenses once because of that. So I tend to install and activate this plugins only when needed. And the small set of my most used plugins varies with the task at hand.

    XILS Labs Sale!

I had issues with miniSynX only, and it is authorized by serial number. I also have XILS 4 and the String Machine collection, that are authorized via iLok, and never had any issues with them. I'm on Windows 10.

    XILS Labs Sale!

SynX is not on sale. And miniSynX crashes my machine. I gave up trying to use it some time ago. Better test before buying. To me the highlights are XILS 4 and XILS V Plus (the better string machine emulation IMO). I also have the 505 but like the former better. And I also have GForce VSM that is much more flexible but is sample based, not an emulation. My 1st choice would be SynX but i'll wait for a better price. To not let this sale simply pass maybe I'll get Kaox. I didn't mind for it when released but for $42 I'm now considering it. This and also the fact that it's the first real sale XILS is doing ever since I heard about them.

    Da king is back!

    Welcome back CC !!!
  19. I think bx_stereomaker have a similar functionality, with mono-maker and a Tilt knob for some panning and with stereo expansion thrown in for a good measure.
  20. I'm not much fond of sample based instruments (I prefer emulations) but since the original synths of the UVI U1250 are sample based I think this can be a nice option for $12.50.
  21. Fix Flanger and Doubler - $19 Fix Phaser - $9 (yes... not a typo!) Until October 9th. Check it out! https://www.softube.com/unlockable-offers
  22. I had all the latest versions except Rebelle. My version was 4.0 (non Pro). I got Rebelle Pro for ~ $10. Is this license valid only for 10 days?
  23. Phase Plant seems a nice system. I'm waiting for a good price though. And I forgot to mention Tracktion's Hyperion in my last post, with a Reaktor-esque interface and well worth a look.
  24. If you're looking for a cost conscious opinion you probably should ignore mine since I "put my money", as you say, on any modular or semi-modular plugin/bundle that I can use. I love the modular approach to synthesis, specially the virtual modular systems were you can save your work and resume it at any time. Having said that and regarding the Cherry Audio VM I like the way they implement polyphony in the system, the fact that they have a way to incorporate and control 3rd party plugins, the possibility to develop new modules with the Development Kit (if you are interested in it), the big catalog of modules and, at this point, the proven quality of their software. For instance, regarding audio quality and emulation authenticity my favorite system is the Softube Modular. But I don't like their GUI as they created an almost one-to-one equivalence to a real hardware modular and IMO this makes the patching unnecessarily complicated for a computer program. In this regard the best virtual modular I used were the Nord Modular G2 or the Modular IV from Creamware (both hardware DSP based). In those systems you can create a patch and if you want to play it polyphonically you just need to increase the number of voices in an option box. Other systems I like are the AAS Multiphonics CV-1, the NI Reaktor and programs like Arturia Modular V and Synthi V, Xils 4 and u-He Ace, Bazille and Zebra , each with their particular sound and Interface (but some of these are closed systems in the sense that you cannot get /buy new modules for them). In my shopping list I have the TAL-MOD and some other programs that are, unfortunately, Mac only at this time.
  25. Sorry to say that folks but External is what they say is External. I got NeoVerb with my $1 F29 code last month. Having said that I also tried to get RX10 advanced for $1. Of course I didn't expect this to succeed but... anyway. It is what it is 😐
