To keep Nigel happy, let's throw in some Trout too!
(Can't believe he didn't notice the bass before either... 😜)
If this performance was done by Malmsteen, you could've had every single guitar player on the cruise jamming along. Or the ship would sink because of the excessive amount of Marshalls.

Why stop at social media. Internet is also the reason, as the constant fear of missing out is present even without social media.

Keep in mind that Waves' Essential plan costs the same per year and you get 110 plugins.

At times I forgot there was music playing. That's how memorable that piece was to me.

"New" features page is not the best to check differences in editions. For Cubase it is https://www.steinberg.net/cubase/compare-editions/
BTW have you managed to scroll down the page I have linked? I mean it gives direct official answer on the question "IS THIS TRUE?" (the subject of this thread)
PS. For those who want compare the distribution of features with Ozone 9, f.e.:
https://web.archive.org/web/20201112012340/https://www.izotope.com/en/products/ozone/features.html
Rather than looking at specs, I'll install the trial version of Elements 10 and compare it against my Elements 9 license.

BTW what is included in clearly listed. https://www.izotope.com/en/products/ozone/features.html
That listing is useless in practice because you don't know which features are on each versions, especially if you compare with something like Cubase's which also tells you which versions have which new features.

Well, if you happen to be John Mayer, you might get a mooning from Mary Spender instead....

Didn't Rob Scallion do the same thing 6 years ago?

I just do the singing myself. The only person listening to what I compose is myself anyways, shitty singing or not.

I'm pretty sure a full ProTools HDX or Dante system with all the software included still costs less than a Tesla with some shitty DAW built in.

pretty hilarious some ***** youtuber saying Hendrix, Slash, Clapton etc are overrated.
As opposed to the 5 million others coming from YouTubers from all walks of success ready to offer their rear end to said players if asked?

My guess is that Izotope figured that the people getting the elements versions were more interested in instant gratification than control. I always thought the most versions were kinda overpowered for items often given out for free.
As some people have pointed, 10 Elements is essentially a paid version of Master Assistant.

Yea, I think it's going to be very interesting to see how they move forward with the success of Tonex in the guitar world. If they continue with their current approach, I really don't think guitar players will stick with them. Those guys will turn on a dime and all the progress IK has made will be gone in a flash. I REALLY hope they have a plan. Guitar gear is an entirely different world than the plugin market and if they screw that up for guitarists by nickel a diming them, there's no way they'll use IK for anything .
It's clear that IK could care less about the software front with TONEX. Like the X pedals the software is just an afterthought to market the physical product. And since you can use the pedal without the software, in the end, having a half assed software product is secondary. It's not like the competitors where the software is part of the product.

W.A. Production is kind of the "new and improved" Soundspot.
Isn't Mastering the Mix just that?

Unlike with some other products, it is possible to download and install older versions even after "upgrade". So what's the problem? The company has not packed the features you want into the newer version? Don't buy it or buy different edition.
I can complain what my newer mobile does not have in comparison with 6 years old one, from the same company and in the same series. But that is just a bad excuse for not checking what I was going to buy...
You can and you should. A good example of that was when Samsung released the Galaxy S6 and it didn't have a removable battery. When inquired about that, Samsung said the battery had to be internal otherwise the phone wouldn't have its IP67 rating. Then you look at the S5 and it has a removable battery AND an IP67 rating.

Hope you can help convince the powers that be to offer a really good upgrade offer to loyal IK Customers.
That's not how IKM works. Their business model consists of luring new customers in with better deals, then nick and dime them out of all their money once they're already into the scheme. And that doesn't seem like it will change any time soon, especially considering their profits.

I watched this and his follow up. It was a firm reminder that guys like Dan are very useful but not immune to bias. To his credit he acknowledged his bias. He clearly downplayed anything Kirchoff was better at by saying the feature was not useful. On the other hand, the main point I got from the video is the idea one sounds better is most likely a bit of placbo and that replacing fab filter if it works for you is plain silly. If you don't own either, it is hard to ignore the price difference. If price is the absolute end all and you want a similar interface, Total EQ by Hornet is not a bad option since it can be had as low as $10. Nonw of these options will make you better at EQing but being used to a certain workflow and design will probably improve efficiency. I use stock studio one plugin or Mequaliser for most tasks.
I feel like the Kirchoff would have been better off just packaging that whole dynamic EQ section as a separate plugin instead of trying to be a "quantity over quality" cheaper alternative to Pro-Q. That would allow them to be their own thing instead of being that plugin which copies another, which was the first impression I had when I first saw it without having seen the clickbait reviews which, ironically, also pitch it against the plugin it copies.

You can also get a similar effect by having your kick drum trigger a low frequency sine wave when it hits.

Currently, it makes no sense for the "None" option in the MIDI input to mean something else than what it implies. That's the same lying to the user thing which happens in the Export Window, where selections done before opening it override presets. And it causes plugins which do send MIDI out events to trigger other instrument tracks, forcing you to manually turn off midi out on each instrument that does it.

As it stands, you pick "Arranger Sections" from the source category then choose which arranger sections you want to export in the sources area.
You can easily do separate tracks / buses by using the selection fly-out, soloing the tracks/buses you want (or muting the ones you don't), and adding separate tasks for each one. With your suggestion, there would be no way to chose which arranger sections you wanted to export.
If you replace the time selection with another menu that allowed you to select which sections you want when you have that selected, you can. That would be just moving said menu from where it is now to the new place.

Or, you could use this nifty tool called Room EQ Wizard, which has everything you need and it's free.

This might help you understand how to use them and what they do, They emulate some pretty complex stuff under the hood and you got to really tweak the settings to get what you are after. Just leaving it on auto does not work well.
I find strange how my opinion of not finding the plugin amusing because I don't have nostalgia for Porta Studios or vintage reel to reel machines equates to me not understanding how tape machines work.
2 hours ago, telecode 101 said:The way I use them is I get what i think is the right tape distortion vibe for the track, then i render and print and remove the plugin. This frees up resources and also makes you commit and you don't go backwards and keep tweaking. then later on, i might use it again on the mix bus.
And I have other plugins which do the exact same thing and can be left on the tracks in question. Because they're not CPU heavy.
2 hours ago, telecode 101 said:Its not the best solution if you just want obvious analog tape effects. There are things like XLN RC-20 or the free one from izotope called vinyl. I also use the IKM Mixbox modules Tape Cassette and Lo-Fi for that as well.
The only other tape plugin which interests me and I intend on buying it when I can is u-he's Satin. While Saturn is another interesting offer, Dent 2 and Indent 2 from Unfiltered Audio more or less fill that role.
