I've been working with a problem for a while now. When I add plugins to either the FX section or to the ProChannel FX rack, Cakewalk crashes. This originally happened when adding some VST3 Demo Plugins from Harrison. But then I noticed it was happening when I add ANY Plugins Cakewalk or otherwise. I'm halfway through a project and I'm stalling out because I can't add plugin to any part of the mix. Yuk! Any suggestions? Also happens if I add FX plugins to clips.

Greetings. I am rebuilding my Cakewalk setup. I once heard that it is more efficient to have the program on the computer and all of the extra sounds etc, on an external hard drive or something to that effect. Can someone clarify that. Earlier I would have EVERYTHING on the computer itself, but I'd like to run more efficiently than that this time. THANKS in ADVANCE.
