  1. No legatos. When they say "articulation" they mean things like finger picking, plectrum picking, palm muting, etc. For $30 it's alright but you'll have to spend more to get a more flexible instrument from OrangeTree or AmpleSound or Indiginus.
  2. According to https://musicsoftwaredeals.com/ this is the cheapest Skaka has ever been ($25). Thomann cheaper still ($20), but you get no Luxe. Ooops, wrong. I STILL got the free LUXE when I redeemed the code I got from Thomann!
  3. I left this in my cart and the next day I received a code for an extra 10% off. For me, this is worth the cost as I use mandolin quite a bit.
  4. My loyalty discount makes this $89. This sounds pretty good to me. I love the tremolo options, which puts this a step above OrangeTree's mandolin, which otherwise is excellent. I'll be getting this before the intro expires on Oct 4.
  5. Thanks! The direct downlink is https://overloud.com/downloads/presets
  6. Looks like they've only developed Android and iOS apps so far. No vsti.
  7. What does this mean? Would I get the new versions for free if I bought this Bundle now?
  8. Same. The interface just seems too difficult to navigate. And the samples don't seem to give me enough flexibility.
  9. Easy Guiro is mine! I haven't found any other flexible guiro instruments. Most of them come with samples of fixed strokes.
  10. Hmmm, no longer for sale and Wayback Machine doesn't seem to help.
  11. Google "concertina vsti" and you'll find lots of concertina virtual instruments suitable for Cakewalk.
  12. $81 for me when completing the Evolution Bundle. Anyone find a better price? $74.52 when I use up my orange slices.
  13. No. It is DAW-agnostic. As mentioned before, I export the Finale score to MIDI and then drag/import that into the DAW. Be sure to turn off "human playback" in Finale if you want quantized MIDI. I find that helpful because Finale doesn't export all the articulations, like trills, so these have too be added manually. For me, it's much easier to edit the MIDI if it starts quantized. But if I make edits to the notes/timing, I have to manually go back and insert those changes back into Finale.
  14. Oh, right. Sorry. I forgot the link didn't I?
  15. I usually use my normal notation program (Finale in my case) and export MIDI from that. I can then click drag the MIDI into an empty Studio One track and there it all is!
  16. Use code SUMMER23 at checkout.
  17. Was hoping Jerry Garcia would be in there. He'd probably look no different, kinda like Janis.
  18. Wow! This one sounds really good to my ears. It'll give OTS a run for its money. Their YouTube playthru doesn't really expose their tremolo very well. That would be important to me.
  19. I'm not sure what you mean by "stand-alone" plugins but I love those VSTis that use a custom interface. They can optimize the playability of the instrument that way. Amplesound's interface and engine is quite nice.
  20. Hmm, 20% is not very impressive.
  21. Still waiting for proper MPE implementation. I'd love to use my Jamstik w/ Amplesound in Studio One, but Studio One doesn't receive the MPE MIDI correctly. I've already submitted the request.
  22. OK, dig up your backup files. The point being that you can find the Rapture installer wherever you have your old Sonar installers. Maybe I should have said that instead.
  23. Regarding headphones, these SENNHEISER HD 6XX from Massdrop are notoriously comfortable and sound really good with little ear fatigue. Highly recommended.
