  1. Don't bother, Bill, I've heard that they suffer from mains hum!
  2. I think I did too, but me brain might be playing tricks. I'm pretty sure that by that time Windows 3 was out and Cakewalk ran on that. I seem to remember that the arrangement window had black blobs on a grid. In fact, just googled and found this:- I got it bundled with one of them Sound Blaster sound cards that came with an EMU daughter board... Was good for GM, for the price... My first "proper" sound module was the Korg 05R/W, which I still have on a shelf in my studio. Doubt if I'll ever use it again
  3. Yes, he does Would I have to use Cakewalk though?
  4. Yes, there is another person just like you Craig
  5. Well, I suppose I must agree, seeing that I've had my DT-250's and KNS-8400's for a total of twenty years and not once have I had to replace the cable
  6. Oh, about another twenty thousand
  7. What can I say? I've sold another album on Bandcamp Off to celebrate...
  8. And, besides, the M50X has a removable cable, which I think is essential.
  9. Do not uninstall your SPlat. Install CbB along side and it will pick up your SPlat preferences and also carry on using any of your SPlat plugins. By all means, look at other DAW. Doesn't do any harm...
  10. Are you under, erm, pressure from "you know who?"
  11. In my laptop I have a 0.5TB Samsung 850 Pro for my OS and a 1TB Samsung 850 Pro for my data drive. They are about three years old. All seems well at the moment. In my new desktop workstation my data SSD is a 1TB Samsung QVO, which I didn't really want to be honest, but I couldn't find a Samsung Pro in time for my build, at least not at a reasonable price. It will be interesting to see how it fairs over time...
  12. DRIVE_1 = 1TB Verbatim DRIVE_2 = 1TB Toshiba DRIVE_3 = 2TB Toshiba DRIVE_4 = 2TB WD Elements DRIVE_1 and DRIVE_2 are identical in terms of backup data DRIVE_3 and DRIVE_4 are identical in terms of backup data
  13. Yes. I make regular backups so I am not that worried.
  14. A SOS review for the above:- https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/audio-technica-ath-m50x
  15. If I ever do drink, it has to be Cider... queue the rude Cider jokes
