I’ve been in and out of garage bands since 1975, and I’ve recently started playing with Cakewalk. It’s pretty nice. I’m using the Guitar Amps.cwt to generate a session, and I have a problem with the attack. When I hit the string with my pick, I get a gentle attack, almost like bowing the string. A hammer on gets totally lost, I can’t hear it at all. And hitting muted strings I want to hear the percussive click, and I don’t get it.
Normally, I can get this on a physical amp by pushing up the gain and backing off on the master volume, and get a raw rock and roll sound with a lot of attack. How do I get that in Cakewalk?
