If money was no object, I'd have Bapu's computers and software.

Wow - enhanced score editing and printing and retrospective MIDI record? Nipping away at Cubase...

6.15 ETA in a matter of days

So with Spectral Layers "AI" algorithms able to "sense discrete events in a sound field and isolate them on independent, colorful layers" and Greg Ondo saying in his weekly Cubase hangouts that Variaudio "currently" only works with monophonic source material, is it a stretch to think that a polyphonic Variaudio may be in the works for Cubase Pro 11? 🤞
-
I'm hoping my plan to do the same with my unregistered cross-grade to Cubase Pro 10.0 will afford me the same opportunity. I have high hopes for v11.
-
Yes, it's almost like you'd need some AI to figure out the best way to playing something on guitar - even then, different players would select different positions.
-
Heck, I'm still shocked that REAPER added notation. They were primarily focused on audio, with MIDI a little less mature.

Shhh... I'm kicking myself for not picking it up for $49

I've gotten into the habit of creating a Windows System Restore Point just prior to installing / updating software. You just never know.

Glad I found this thread. I've got 8.5, X1, X2 and X3.

It appears that v2.0.7 is now available on PB 2.0.7 Prevent Scaler from hanging when reloading a saved project in Cakewalk - Windows Editing a chord voicing does not reset its custom playback settings anymore Add ability to Enable/Disable blinking effects All font size have been slightly increased Add ability to select between 3 font sizes (Small, Default, Large) Shift-Click on a chord from your progression now opens Chord Editor Further timing calculation improvement: Scaler 2 is now more accurate and consistent across the different trigger/capture modes: Live triggers, Section Playback, MIDI Capture, MIDI Output Prevent hung notes when dragging chords outside of Scaler in some DAW Prevent hung notes when holding a key not yet bound then activating bind Fix an issue causing dropped notes when arpeggiating chords with a voicing profiles applied Prevent the Settings menu from appearing behind other UI elements

In REAPER, it only displays the VSTI3 and VST3. Btw, because it has "Input Fx", you can record any MIDI you generate in realtime, with the pads - you don't even have to sync Scaler with the DAW. The same can't be said for Mixcraft, without using a 3rd party MIDI router.
-
Is a version log included which lists what is fixed in each update? Also, I hope the demos are being updated as well, seeing as how these are used to check compatibility with one's DAW application...
-
I remember when Studio One came out, thinking what a stupid name it was, because they'd have to change the name with every successive major update...
-
Slightly off-topic... Currently a crossgrade to Studio One Pro is $299 USD compared to buying Studio One Pro outright is $279 USD 🙄
-
I'm still in the process of evaluating Mixcraft with REAPER and the Cubase ecosystem.
-
I'm cool with the v9 interface. There's another school of thought that visual stimulation should be limited so as to have a minimal affect on auditory function. So, in that line of thinking, REAPER has the most conducive interface for making music. 😁
-
You mean for example, how they implemented a non-destructive chord track which also works on polyphonic audio? Perhaps Cubase will get some Studio One features... in November...

So who's shopping for something specific right now?
pbognar replied to Christian Jones's topic in Deals
Seriously though - that looks a lot like what Stanley Clarke was playing at the time. What is the sound like compared to a MM StingRay or other basses we might be more familiar with? -

Short-scale piccolo bass? -

I'll be buying Scaler 2 when it is out at the end of May. Now the question is, do I use it with Mixcraft, REAPER, or register my cross-grade to Cubase? 🤣 Maybe I should have cross-graded to Studio One Pro 🤣🤣 -
Is It Impossible To Make Good Midi Renditions Of Classical Music?
pbognar replied to mdiemer's topic in The Coffee House
I was about to say the same thing. He is the Cakewalk/Sonar gold standard when it comes to producing classical music, and a Jedi Master when it comes to Staff View knowledge. [ scrolls up and sees that the Master has already replied 🤣] -

Congratulations Bakers, on this major feature update. Would love to see a Chord Track / Pads / Assistant implemented.
