  1. In his STRUM-IT CAL script Douglas Fetter makes this comment: " I have included STRUM-IT.TXT which is this very same CAL routine but with full variable names, in a readable structure, & including comments. " I can't find the STRUM-IT.TXT file anywhere, but would love to read through it. Does anyone have a copy?
  2. I can replicate most of the Sonar 8.5 staff view note entry duration key bindings (e.g. 4 on the keyboard for a quarter note) , but there is no option to bind the full-stop/period (.) key to perform the function of the dotted button in the staff view menu (as it did by default in Sonar 8.5). The key bindings for note durations literally just select the relevant button on the staff view menu, so surely the same could be done for the dotted button. Please add it as a key binding option.
  3. I can replicate most of the Sonar 8.5 staff view note entry duration key bindings (e.g. 4 on the keyboard for a 1/4 note), but I can find no option to bind the full-stop/period (.) key to perform the function of the dotted button on the staff view menu (as it did by default in Sonar 8.5). This was far more useful than specific bindings for dotted whole, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 etc. Since the dotted button on the staff view menu is still there, surely it can be done? I must be missing something...
  4. I don't experience that in Track view, but can confirm that Sonar has always done that (and still does) intermittently in Staff view.
  5. Open the project and then go to Edit\Preferences\Project\Record. In the Recording Mode section, select the "Sound on Sound" option.
  6. I have been used to flicking between maximised views of the three screens that I use all the time in Sonar 8.5: track view, staff view and console view. As yet I can't find a way to switch between them in CbB using key bindings, with each one always appearing maximised. I thought I had cracked it by changing the default workspace to have staff and console views in the multidock, but sometimes it works and other times they open as a little slit or nothing happens at all when I try to switch between them. Is there any way to do it please - preferably as a default global template?
  7. Ah, many thanks Base 57. Been using 8.5 for so long that I'm struggling to adjust!
  8. It's great that snap and right-click have been fixed, but I have a beef with deselecting notes. Going way back to Sonar 8.5, when I selected (highlighted) a note/notes I could then deselect them by clicking anywhere on the white background (still with the Select tool). In fact I think you had to use the Select tool to deselect notes. It all changed with Sonar X, when you had to use a different tool (either Erase or Draw) and click off the staff to deselect notes. Goodness knows why - they made some odd decisions at that time and it has been inherited into CbB. Surely using the same tool to select and deselect is logical? In fact, I guess it would be quicker to be able to click off the staff with any of the tools to deselect notes. Just a suggestion.
