  1. Giancarlo just announced on gearslutz that he’s completely overhauling the license transfer system to make it easier and cheaper to transfer. Amazing news!:

“Moved by these requests and these observations, today I called an emergency meeting and involved the whole team.
We came to the conclusion that it is not right to wait until next year to have a solution, and I was promised to have a completed development before the end of the year.
The idea that we came up with is to allow free movement for a finite number of licenses for each person before moving on to the classic mechanism.
Next year, instead of deleting this system, we will extend it by replacing the previous classic mechanism, allowing for real trading on our marketplace, with the lowest possible fee, and it will have nothing to do with the one we have now.
But the mechanism I am talking about would allow you to solve immediately the sale of products that you are not using, WITHOUT ADDITIONAL COSTS. I talked at length with everyone and convinced them of the need to have a finite number of licenses with a free transfer and WITHOUT costs.
Acustica goes from having the worst method of having the best method!“

The 3rd party programs are the best programs IMO. Better sound quality than the Acquas just more cpu & work involved since it's per instance.

This! I’m at the stage where I’d be happy selling all my acquas and sticking with N4 libraries. Acquas are great too it’s just I always reach for TimP or Cupwise libraries etc., just that extra bit special.

downside is they’re a pain to work with so I use blue cat patchwork to make life a bit easier as it remembers window positions when I have a stack of instances that make up the sound in a library

if only selling acquas didn’t leave me way worse off !

I now have both and while Shimmer is great Skaka is simpler to use, mostly because Kontakt is a clunky platform from an interface perspective.

The built-in sequencer is more flexible and powerful than Shimmer Shake, so the only real advantage is the larger library that comes with the latter.

One thing that put me off slightly was that you can´t combine single shots with shaken sounds in the same cell, but you have 12 cells at your disposal so it´s not a big deal.

Both get the job done anyway, but at $24.99 you can´t go wrong with this.

Just demoed and yeah Skaka does everything I want. Thanks for the info, purchasing!

  4. Bug confirmed by developer in his YouTube channel but yeah Nembrini issue still happening. Also serious problems with DibiQuadro guitar amp. Maybe I have a configuration issue in my Reaper setup

  5. Just demo'd it on Drum buss and a few instruments and I don't really get it. Complicated and makes things sound just a bit weird. Clearly I need to read the manual but I don't know if I can be bothered, seems hard to dial in something good. Somebody mentioned it was great for mastering so maybe I'm using it wrong. Think it will be a pass though

  6. Mine says I received as I owned another Studio DMI series plugin from Acustica (El Rey). Just heads up that it might only be valid  if user already owns one. We’ll soon find out I guess!

This I think is a stand alone and not installed in your programs.

Yeah it is and flaky as hell at the moment, best to wait a few iterations

    Well done, Tom.
Thought of going there as well, but I still have to go everywhere FabFilter Saturn 2 brings me, beyond and to the left. That’s one hell of a saturator, including those new transformers.

SKNote AnyTesla is my goto for Transformers, love the sound of that thing (but it can't be pushed too hard). True Iron is great too, different flavours and can be pushed so I'm happy now I've got both. I demoed Saturn 2 quickly but didn't gel with the sound of it, maybe I need to try again!

  9. Finally true iron will be mine! I’ve been waiting for this moment like the cheap ***** I am 😬

EDIT: bought! And it’s 50% off including the already $10 offf promotion so got it for $20. Steal!

  10. I really like this app, it’s a sampler for midi files and I can remix a midi  chord progression or melody very easy. Really fun and not much else like it but to get to next level it really needs independent editing of each slot. Currently if i adjust start time it affects all the other slices which is very annoying. A lot of other minor changes and things ironed out and this would be really great

  11. Yeah I had to get money back on Harvest as just didn’t work properly in reaper and windows. Went back and forth with Dev but I don’t think he was that interested in fixing so I decided to get out. Just a warning
