Very pretty and soothing! One could float on this and unwind after a long, stressful day. You are very good at making these VST's sound human with your arranging and mixing. Stay prolific, my friend.
  2. Outstanding! I didn't used to care for this song, but I do now. I love the video!
  3. Mark, thanks for you keen input. I agree with you about the organ, and I'll fix that on the next pass. You've given me some ideas to work with! Wookie, I thought of you when I inserted the ending. Thanks for the inspiration!
  4. This just started happening. After working on a project the entire program shuts down when I close the project. I don't lose data because it's after I've save everything, but having to reboot CW to change projects is frustrating. I can get away with closing a project sometimes, but this problem comes back and is occurring more frequently. It could be just me and my system, but I'm curious if anyone else has seen this problem. Otherwise, everything else is as smooth as silk. Btw, I have the latest version, and this problem doesn't seem to be related to any particular project or VST. Thanks for your time.
  5. John, you are a hit machine. I like your version better than the original. In addition to creating great covers, you are a terrific singer. You're dong a great job of showcasing your talents while reminding us of the good music from the 80s.
  6. This is really fresh! When I closed my eyes it felt like you were in the room. That's a good mix and a great song well played. I can sink my teeth into this style all day long. And, I learned something, I've had TTS-1 forever and didn't realize it could boogie this hard. I'm gonna have to revisit that one. Way to go, Tom!
  7. Thank you for you comments and advice. I'll pat attention to these issues on my next pass. Good ears! Hi Bjorn, thanks for having a listen. I thought it sounded familiar! I may be recycling old ideas ;) Yeah, that's how I feel after hearing the news, too. This is a very sobering time in history. I got your PM - no problem. Thanks again.
  8. Tom, thanks for your input! I remixed this with your suggestions in mind and reposted. I also made sure that I used my Sennheisers in monitoring this mix. I'm moving in the right direction, I think. Ed, thanks for giving this a second chance!
  9. Nigel, thanks for you keen observation. I have remixed this with your suggestions in place. It definitely improved the mix, though I'm not sure, yet, if it's where it needs to be. Thanks, Tom, your words mean a lot to me. It's now remixed, and hopefully, closer to the finish.
  10. Hi Douglas, thanks for your kind words! The organ is AIR's DB-33 using a setting that allowed me to control the leslie. Got it for $10 from KVR. I don't know about EZ Drummer mapping, but I was very happy to discover that SD3 can map to all major drum programs because I have a ton of beats from AD2 that were underused. I access the mapping through SD3's settings, perhaps the same for EZD?
  11. Thanks for you ears, Ed. Good catch! I hear it now that you point it out, but I couldn't before because I was too deep in the forest. I'll be remixing this.

    Look Ahead

I've been writing moody songs lately, and here is my latest. I'm too close to it to hear anything right now, so I will let it rest and ask all of you for your thoughts. My main gimmick in this song is that I mapped Superior Drummer 3 to Addictive Drums 2 in order to use my AD2 library of beats. Way cool. Thank you for your time and help! It can be found here: https://soundclick.com/r/s8doyj remixed on 7/14/20 (less vocal compression, more drums) remixed on 7/18/20 (less organ, less mud, more air)
  13. This has a cool grungy vibe that has Indie written all over it. I like your consistency and confidence. You are a prolific talent!
  14. What a lovely, emotive song! The reverb is luscious which just adds to the depth of this piece. A fine bit of songwriting and a good arrangement makes this sound very professional. Good job!
  15. Nice one, Wookie. I'll have what you're having!
  16. Noel, the night before, Windows 10 upgraded itself, and the next day my problem went away with the new OVox. I don't know if that had anything to do with my problem, but serendipity strikes! Thanks for your quick reply, but, hopefully, I'm good to go.
  17. No, the project didn't crash, rather, the new version of OVox didn't load though there was an instance of the previous version in the project. Everything else was fine. How would I send the project to you? PM me if you want.
  18. Noel, I have the latest version of CbB (2020.05), and I just updated OVox today, and it wouldn't load into a project with the previous version of OVox. So, it's still broken with CW, and Waves still does not say the two are compatible, yet. Fortunately, Waves gave me a link to rollback to the previous version of OVox, so I'm good to go with my project. Just saying....
  19. Try syncing your delay to your guitar part and experiment with eighth note and sixteenth note delays (or if possible, use the tap delay button if available). You don't need to mix it too much, a little goes a long way, and not too much feedback. That's how I hear U2.
  20. Your consistency is something that makes all of your songs stand out. You're a good example for all of us to follow.
  21. Great production and lyrics on this tune. This put me in a very good mood! Keep em coming!
  22. This held my interest all the way through, and I'm impressed at the punchiness of the track which would make me want to dance. The production is very professional, so congrats! Encore
  23. This is terrific, David. Very good dynamics in this that let it breathe. Apropos for these times.
  24. I like this song, and it has great potential. I think if you punch up the kick drum, it will be closer to what you may be going for. You could also add some percussion that's in cut time to make it seem faster. However it goes, congratulations on stretching your writing abilities and going for something different!
