  1. I prefer their first model, the A-.... Never mind, I'll see myself out

    Windows 11?

can't they wait at least until we get @Zo on Windows 10?
  3. these guys are running out of stuff to sample
  4. Do you already know what's going to be on sale? I don't have much experience with Prime Day, with the exception of a few hours a couple of years ago when I saw a bunch of crap on sale rotating every few minutes. That's where 90% of all those George Foreman grills in thrift stores come from.
  5. this summer i've been spending the money I saved during the pandemic like there's no 2022 but i think I'm going to pass on this one it has a raving fan base, that's for sure
  6. It's basically a programmable keyboard. It sends key combinations to "control" whatever program is on focus. It can also execute exe and bat files, open specific web addresses, send a text string (for example, I use it enter Zoom passwords for recurrent meetings), and a few other things. It can also send MIDI messages, but I haven't used that capability. I love my Stream Deck, by the way. In a DAW, it's helpful for keyboard shortcuts that have too many keys or that I just can't commit to memory. You can also send F13, up to F25 (I think), so if you feel like you're running out of possible shortcut combinations, you get more with the Stream Deck. I bought 4 wifi-activated AC outlets (smart plugs) that you can control through the SD via IFTTT, but I haven't set it up.
  7. you can't be a guitar player and have enough amp sims, those two things are mutually exclusive
  8. what's honest money for if not to spend it on things you're going to use once in your life and then stash away with the other 3,000 things you don't ever use? There's a demo, btw

    JST 50% off Code

Lars, let the man wallow in contempt
  10. Does the world really need YATE? (yet another tape emulation)
  11. I just listened to his Summer of 666 song, awesome production, nicely done
  12. After spending way too much time reading this thread, it looks like AO's website got hacked in Feb 2020 and the hackers inserted malicious code on the 32-bit versions. I suppose one advantage of using Patreon is that they have more secure infrastructure (at least more than what an independent developer can afford).
  13. I've been using plugins for more than 3 years and didn't think I would learn something new as basic as this at this point, but here we are. I don't feel bad, I'm actually excited to try this. I also found this related article in another thread: https://www.soundonsound.com/sound-advice/hidden-dangers-vintage-eq
  14. This is an interesting model for independent developers. Download for free, contribute monthly if you can and want. Now I'm remembering Airwindows started doing that a while back. There's this idea that you only need 1,000 fans to support you. It looks like Analog Obsession found a way to make it work. Good for them.
  15. We all have our pet peeves. Mine aren't even consistent. I sometimes hate installers, other times I love them, etc., etc. So you can't go by what others say. If you've made the decision, good for you. Enjoy!

    BFD Summer Sale

I've spent $160 on BFD 3 and 6 expansions. For that kind of money SD3 does not even wave at you.

    BFD Summer Sale

wow, really? what I've read at the BFD, Gearspace and KVR forums is that the transition to inmusic has been a complete boondoggle... BFD crashes, it crashes the host, the license manager de-authorizes the product or the extensions wantonly, etc etc
  18. Reminds me of the $1,500 channel strip in that both are a joke
  19. this is only compatible with Studio One you can buy any of the three console emulations separately too for $29.95 each
  20. any experiences with this particular kind? or any recommendations?
  21. I see what you did there
