  1. yeah, you are right: https://www.streetinsider.com/Business+Wire/Waves+Maxx+Audio®+Sound+Enhancement+Technology+Is+Now+Available+On+Knowles+Advanced+Audio+Processors/16796910.html I suppose that means we're stuck with this LOL
  2. I was thinking about waves too... I thought, these guys are earning more than $5k a month, what's their excuse to not even update the UI of all of their plugins?
  3. where I live that would be enough to pay for the rent of a dumpster... if you find two roommates
  4. from the demos I learned that a House Piano is a regular piano stuck on velocity 127
  5. This is from their manual (https://pulsar.audio/downloads/manuals/Pulsar Smasher - User Manual.pdf) EDIT: not trying to start an argument, just to show that your situation may be an anomaly
  6. I got PA's Smasher for free, but don't use it because it requires Cloud iLok, which means it doesn't work without a continuous connection to the internet, just FYI

    Windows 11

I feel like the dude who's making those whiny videos knows this very well, but he's just fishing for clicks (that's his hustle, though, so whatever) The other thing is that I'm sure MS will relax their requirements (up to a certain point) as we get closer to the actual release date and even beyond Ultimately, for good and bad, with Windows computers there's (almost) always a way... with Apple, the OS and the HW are so tightly integrated that if they say you can't, you can't (for good and bad)
  8. $41.65 at JRR with automatic code in your basket EDIT: aaaaaaah, but no Phoenix, never mind EDIT 2: although, if you already have PVerb, JRR would make more sense, so do mind!
  9. the release includes VST2 versions, which I thought was not possible any more
  10. Klang Kontakt instruments start at $5 and change. https://www.pluginboutique.com/manufacturers/281-KLANG
  11. Maybe don't try to understand it and just try it? I use Studio One, so I don't know if it's helpful to you, but this is what I do: Step 1: one semitone down in Kontakt Step 2: one semitone up in your DAW The only thing this does, in the end, is to give you one extra note in the lower range of the instrument. Tuning in virtual guitars doesn't really matter, particularly with the OTS system. Those libs are designed for keyboard players, so you can even play two notes on the same string if you want to. EDIT: I guess the timbre of open strings changes, too, so just follow the instructions and you'll be OK
  12. Hey man, let me tell you what I did, to see if this is what you're looking for. I have a bass library that I wanted to use for metal. The lowest note of the library is C, but I wanted it to reach down to B, because that's how my guitar is tuned. So I used Kontakt's tune knob to tune the bass down half step (it's just a pitch-shifter that tunes down the audio, IMO). The problem is that now every note on the piano roll and my keyboard doesn't match what I'm hearing, right? So in my DAW, I transpose the MIDI one half-step up, so that everything lines up. I press E on the keyboard, my DAW sends E sharp to Kontakt and Kontakt detunes the output down to E.
  13. pff, late response, but you don't need to create an account or login during installation... the surefire way is to make sure your computer has no access to the internet while you're upgrading or installing Win 10 I didn't want to upgrade to Win 10 either, but Win 10 has been super stable for me, no regrets the only exception I remember is that my Waves plugins became unusable after a recent update and had to re-run some Visual C++ redistributables every OS has its tradeoffs by the way, this is just my two cents, but I'd rather do a clean install than an upgrade... it's up to you, it's more work, but that way you don't get a frakenstein on the other side... I don't know, maybe the upgrading process has improved... personally, I don't chance it, though EDIT: by the way, I'm on 20H2... I'm under the impression that Win Pro let's you have more control over updates, but can't tell for sure
  14. I wonder if it was a mistake (seems unlikely to me), or if UJAM got flak for making a plugin available for free so soon after release EDIT: It could have been a mistake, I've seen worse
  15. I got this about a year ago to replace Jamstix, which has too much a mind of its own. I figured this would be a happy medium between a "dumb" drum vst and one that just does whatever the hell it wants. The thing is that the learning curve is just too much. MChandler (hehe) is a great resource, but still, learning how to use this thing was too much for me. One cool thing is that you can use it to drive another drum VST, if you have the patience to map every MIDI signal coming out of MDrummer.

    holy molly, stay safe!
  17. it is... camelcamel tracks Amazon prices for everyone. You can sign up to get notifications when prices go below a certain threshold. They're tracking millions of items, imagine if they also had to sync with everybody's cookies to give them personalized prices. Also, when someone shares an Amazon price in a forum like this one, people would see different prices, right? But they don't. Prices just go up and down based, partly, on demand. I always buy the same type of jeans (even the same color) from Amazon. Under this logic, the price for me should continuously go up since I obviously am very interested in this item, but it doesn't. Same for sneakers, I'm just a simple man. One could make an argument to give a potential customer a lower price the second time they browse the same item, to entice them. The internet would be full of strategies to defeat this type of algorithm (clear your cookies, browse unsigned, use different browsers, etc.), so I don't think Amazon bothers, really.
  18. yep, it looks like you get 20 coins just by registering (and being good looking)
  19. This is a free update for existing customers. Additionally, any user who has previously trialled Archetype: Abasi has a 14-day trial extension available automatically in their iLok account, so everybody can check out the changes. Download Archetype: Abasi 2.0.0 Most notably, Archetype: Abasi has been rebuilt with our ATI algorithm, offering improved performance. Furthermore, we’ve added our new adaptive noise gate and updated the IR interpolation engine.
  20. @Reid Rosefelt, have you upgraded the Stream Deck software to v 5? And what do you think about it?
