  1. Great prices! Maybe in response to Synthesizer V improvements. This SV demo uses five different voice banks (mostly Chinese but singing in English) to "simulate" the Spice Girls vocals. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TotFdChJ7i0
  2. Thanks Larry! Maybe in preparation for Cubase 12? 🤞🏻

    PSP L'otary

Just had an email from PSP to say that it has been updated to v2.1.0 PSP L'otary v.2.1.0 CHANGES & NEW FEATURES: 1. Apple Silicon native support (yay @Fleer !) 2. The brand new Preset System - added sorting presets by categories; added Undo/Redo functionality; improved A/B functionality; improved save/load preset experience, 3. New graphical engine for MAC computers: overall smoothness improvement, reduced CPU drain, 4. Optimised loading times of GUI (Mac & PC), 5. Improved compatibility with latest versions of popular DAWs, 6. Improved compatibility with latest Apple's OS - Monterey, 7. PACE authorization system. NO LONGER SUPPORTED: - MIDI implementation - 32 bit platform on Windows and macOS - macOS 10.9 and earlier versions - WindowsXP and Vista - ProTools RTAS format TO BE DONE: 1. Improving stability between VST3 version of the plugin and Ableton Live host application, 2. Proper track routing in Reaper for more audio channels than two.
  4. It does sound gggrrrrreaattttt! A no-brainer if you have Unify. 👍
  5. I haven't yet tried the network abilities but my main network use is with my iPad and I don't think BC connector is available as an IOS app or not yet at any rate (and I already have a working solution for this). However, the possibilities seem endless e.g. another use would be to provide separate audio outputs per layer in Unify. Here's a tutorial on offloading plugin processing to another computer using Connector: https://www.bluecataudio.com/Blog/tip-of-the-day/offloading-plug-ins-processing-to-another-computer/ For the relatively low price I will buy it. It seems like a good concept and investment; plus I like to support devs like Blue Cat. I would also prefer to use a single utility rather than lots of separate, free/donationware with limited or no support.
  6. Thanks @scook I guess I was trying to see how far I could get without rtfm I also heard back from Blue Cat support so top marks for a speedy response. Would be nice if it auto-allocated or at least prompted to use the next available port. I guess it's v1.0 so maybe in a future version. Also, having added 4 instances I couldn't see a way to change the port before enabling send/rcv (but I will check the manual). So the second pair had to be turned on (and then fail to connect) before you can change the port number. Then, after that, they wouldn't connect after changing the port number. I had to delete them and re-insert two new instances then enable send/rcv and set the ports. They then connected and worked as per the other send/rcv pair. I see there's a preset for "Send - App 8080" so I guess you could set up a user preset "Send - App 8081" and the same for receive to solve the above issue.
  7. I have also now tried sending Audio in Cakewalk from one channel to another using connector as follows. Insert instrument on a track and insert connector in FX rack Insert an audio track and insert connector in FX rack Connect both connectors If I mute the instrument track and play the instrument from my MIDI controller, the audio arrives at the audio track and plays back fine with no detectable latency (buffering set to auto). Unmuting the instrument track so that audio comes out of both tracks it's hard to discern any timing difference. Again, it won't allow me to connect any more than two instances so I guess it's a demo limitation (awaiting a response from support). So it seems to be low latency in this instance although this isn't very taxing. Next, I will try the same over my LAN between my desktop and laptop.
  8. I'm in the same boat Fleer. The price for me from Koby was $46.99 (Platinum + Center upgrade to Diamond) which is pretty good. My idea was to obtain cheap WUP on the existing software but as I went from Gold+Renn to Platinum in November I still have 10 months of WUP left on it. So I'll be looking for a deal like this in October/November and I'm sure there will be plenty more of deals to come! Alternatively, offload all of my Waves stuff as I have plenty of alternatives (and I hate those Waveshell things clogging up my system).
  9. Thanks Larry. I also had updates for Replika XT and MassiveX.
  10. I guess it would depend on the specific use of it. So far I have been testing it out to solve a specific MIDI routing bug in a particular app. With MIDI I wouldn't expect there to be much latency unless sending over a network. Anyway, for this use I am finding some limitations (this may of course be a demo limitation or my unfamiliarity with the software)... I have a send instance of Connector sending MIDI from an instrument layer I have two instances of Connector and I am trying to set them up to receive MIDI from the above The first receiver instantly connects to the sender but the second one remains as [not connected]. I have named all of the instances appropriately but cannot find a way to set the second receiver to also receive MIDI from the sender. I have also tried adding a second sender but they still remain unconnected. Maybe this is a demo limitation IDK. The web page states the demo limitations as follows: Limited number of instances of the plug-in per session. The plug-in is regularly bypassed for a few milliseconds. I have raised a support ticket with BC Audio.
  11. Will do! By the way, anyone who doesn't have the "existing customer" email you can get it for $34.71 at JRR using the code FORUM. https://www.jrrshop.com/blue-cat-audio-connector
  12. Yup, I guess the advantage of Blue Cat connector is that it does "everything" in one app (Audio, MIDI, Network, local). I'll give the demo a try anyway.
  13. Thanks Larry! Upgrade from Platinum to Diamond is 62.50 USD for me at Waves. I'll check to see what Koby can do it for.
  14. There are now 3 free packs for Playbeat to download... https://audiomodern.com/playbeat-packs/
  15. Thanks Larry; fast as ever! Here's the change log : What’s New in Hammond B-3X 1.3.4 Added native Apple M1 support ( @Fleer please note!) Fixed a bug where unfreezing a track in Pro Tools reverted the plug-in to its default preset Fixed an issue where a crash could occur with very low buffer sizes at 96kHz sample rate on Mac Fixed a bug where selecting outputs above 1-2 in the standalone version could silence audio General reliability improvements
  16. @aidan o driscoll Yup, it's a goodie. I picked it in February last year for $14.99 (plus VAT) so about the same as now 👍 It's one that John 'Skippy' Lehmkul was involved in the development for...
  17. Voxengo TEOTE 1.8 This update includes the following changes: * Updated all palettes, to reduce "border" contrast. An existing palette may need to be reloaded for the change to be visible. * Improved knob's renderings. * Added the "Panel border" palette modifier. * Improved overall graphics drawing performance. * Implemented per-band automatic processing bypass in the "Apply to Range" mode, to reduce CPU load with a minimal impact to the sound. Useful for live situations. * Improved overall processing performance by 3%. * Added the "OLE Roll-off" parameter that controls the overall loudness estimator's weighting in the lower frequencies. Provides an additional control over dynamic response, especially for EDM-alike music. This addition is backwards-compatible (at value of 2.7). * Extended the "Slope" value range to -7.5 to -1.5, for creative uses (this may skew an existing automation of this parameter). To download this update, or change the notification settings, please visit the Voxengo web page https://www.voxengo.com/cp/updates/
  18. @Simeon Amburgey Just catching up with it now! Looks awesome as always and curious to have a listen to Simple 1.5. Man, that Rhodes sounds gorgeous and one of my favourite Howard Jones songs (No One is to Blame).
  19. I grabbed the Dune 3 and Diva ones - very nice indeed. I'm tempted by that 25 pack for Spire at $9.99, just in case I ever buy Spire!

That explains why Kaspersky wouldn't let me view the email!
  21. Thanks for this. Did anyone else notice the update is version 1.1.7 rather than 1.1.6?

  23. Also, these for other synths... Dune 3 Incarnation pt 1 https://bellatrixaudio.com/product/incarnation_part_1/ (32 atmospheric presets) $1.15 Hypnotic https://bellatrixaudio.com/product/hypnotic-dune-3/ (70 "magical" presets) $2.90 Serum Departure https://bellatrixaudio.com/product/departure/ (64 presets) $2.25 Diva Electronica https://bellatrixaudio.com/product/bellatrix-audio-electronica/ (100 presets) $2
  24. Always worth an email when you are ready abacab. I have all of their synth demos installed which is a good way to decide which ones float your boat. I have slowly been replacing demos with full versions. To be honest Icarus 2 could have been Gladiator 3 or Electra 2. I just liked the assortment and variety of presets in Icarus 2. Undoubtedly it also has one of the most complete feature sets; 3 oscillator, 3d wavetables, multiple resynthesis methods, great sounding filters, a glitch sequencer, two MSEGs and a drum machine. It can be in your face when you want it to be, but just listen to some of the complex evolving atmo presets to hear the other side of it.
