Thanks for the help on this. I was missing the Enable MIDI Input.

The next obvious question is this: How do I get the AHE MIDI-generated vocals recorded onto a track as an audio file?

What John suggests will work, but what I used to do when I was doing this a lot was:

    1. Right Click on the vocal track and select "Insert Send -->  New Aux Track"

    2. On the new Aux Track you can now record the output of the vocal track.

You can adjust the volume and pan of each harmony within the AHS plugin and create different Aux track mixes of the harmonies. I also used to use Chord via Midi in AHE and adjust the register and spread to create multiple harmony Aux tracks with different register/spread.

Once you have recorded your Aux track you can just disable the AHE plugin on the vocal track and I would typically record other takes for doubling of the main track. I would sometimes also use the double tracks to create slightly different AHE harmony tracks to thicken up the harmonies.

I need help getting the Antares Harmonizer plug-in to work with Cakewalk/BandLab.  I've read and re-read the manual and have tried all kinds of routing, to no avail.  Here's the basic setup:

    • The MIDI data is on Track 2. (3-part harmony.)
    • The microphone is on Track 1.
    • Track 3 is supposed to capture the resulting harmonies.

I've tried all kinds of routing methodology, and am hoping someone on this forum can help.

    Okay so follow these steps...

    1. On Track 1 (the Mic Track), record your solo vocals if they aren't already recorded.

    2. Insert Antares Harmony Engine (AHE) in the FX block of Track 1.

3, Open AHE (click on it), select the VST3 menu at the top and select "Enable MIDI input".

    4. Also in AHE, on the Harmony Control menu select MIDI Omni.

    5. On your MIDI track with the harmony make sure the output is set to  Harmony Engine1

Now when you playback the song you should hear your vocal with the three part harmony singing along with it.

Same here. Updated yesterday. I agree with your hypothesis. From this size of the updates, it looked like MIDI pack updates do. 2MB to 3MB. Same UI. So, maybe it's MIDI pack format updates for EZK2. We'll see if the separate MIDI packs get updated, as well.

Yes, I think that's correct as I have 9 expansions and all of them had  2/3 Mb updates (MIDI packs). I expect we'll also see the separate MIDI packs updated. Good to know that they are putting in the effort to keep existing purchases working on the new system.

Today, we're officially releasing the Synthesizer V Studio 1.9.0b1 public beta update, announcing rap vocal synthesis support, Instant Mode revamped, and Cantonese cross-language synthesis updates for you!

Before you read the full press release, here is a brief description of the update:

    - Rap vocal synthesis support. For the first time in the history of commercial song synthesis software, we have implemented the rap vocal synthesis, and bring it to all of AI voice database, Now available in Mandarin Chinese and English. (During the public beta, only Dreamtonics own voice databases available for RAP. It should also be noted that the singing voice database has a different performance power than the specialized RAP voice database due to the different training materials.).

    - Rap voice database. We announced D-Lin, the Chinese rap male voice, and Ritchy, the English rap male voice, and released a feature-limited trial version of them for testing.

    - Instant Mode revamped. The Instant Mode button has been removed and the pitch mode has now been redesigned to a note level option. With the newly released rap feature, each note will now be able to choose between three pitch modes: Manual, Sing, and Rap.

    - Vibrato control. Now you can control the intensity of vibrato generation even in Song Mode(Formerly Instant Mode), or edit the vibrato effect more carefully with the vibrato envelope curve in the parameter panel.

    - Transpose control. You can now enable or disable employing improvisational techniques like subtle pitch dips in Sing Mode, especially between notes, on a note group or track-wide scale, for more direct note-to-note singing variations.

    - Cross-language updates. We've released cross-language synthesis support for Cantonese and released an underlying update for cross-language singing effects in all languages, which will get better pronunciation when they sing songs in non-native languages.

In a departure from previous releases where all notes are displayed in the Synthesizer V theme color, we are experimenting with a feature that assigns distinct colors to notes under Manual, Sing, and Rap modes. We encourage you to share your feedback on whether this color scheme provides effective visual differentiation or proves to be distracting, as we continually strive to improve the user experience.

It should be noted that this update requires the support of the beta voice database. We are first releasing a beta update for Dreamtonics' own branded voice database. Third-party voice databases released by other partners will be released in due course as they complete their internal testing and evaluation.

Also, this update may bring big changes to your workflow. The underlying update to the voice database may bring changes to the vocalist's pronunciation style, which may have a large impact on projects that have done a lot of phoneme editing. We recommend that you save the work in progress and find a comfortable position to start our new journey.

You can always keep the old version of the voice database to ensure that the vocal style of the song you are working on is not affected. Installing the beta version of the voice database will not delete the old version of the voice database already installed. You can switch voice database versions in the editor at any time.

You can read the full update press release here:

You can download the beta version of the voice database here:

You can download a free, feature-limited trial version of the Rap AI voice database here:

Some pretty exciting changes in there!

    Enjoy!

I'm starting this new thread where we can post all the new Synthesizer V voicebanks since it's likely we'll be seeing quite a few releases as the platform grows in popularity.

I'll start with Saros from Eclipsed Sounds.  It's just a teaser, but they're the ones that produced Solaria, so I'm guessing this one will be good too.

I've been waiting for the longest time for a worthy Solaria follow-up from Eclipsed sounds, and this might just be it!

Need to hear a few more demos to decide but keeping everything crossed 👍🏻

    Thanks for the heads-up!

  7. UPDATE V2.1.0 Released - New Features !

We've added a bunch of new features in this latest free update to make Melody Sauce 2 even more user friendly.

This update should be available for you to download from the “Downloads” tab in your account. Log in to your account at https://accounts.evabeat.com/

See below for a list of new features:

    •    DAW MIDI mode: Play sounds via incoming midi

There are now 3 general modes to select from:
CREATE mode: this is Melody Sauce’s current standard operation - create melodies or play the melodies you have created inside the plugin.  Melodies will play via the internal midi-generation engine using the plugin’s sounds.
DAW MIDI mode: this new mode allows Melody Sauce 2 to play incoming midi from your DAW, so any midi placed on the same track as Melody Sauce 2 will be played by the plugin’s sounds.  This means you can drag midi melodies from the plugin to your DAW and Melody Sauce 2 will play these directly from the DAW.  This also allows you to use Melody Sauce 2’s instruments like a regular virtual software synth via your own midi or a midi keyboard.
MIDI OUT mode: select this mode to route the midi to other software instruments.

    •    Play melodies inside the plugin
You can now play melodies inside Melody Sauce 2 without having to play your DAW using a new internal playback engine.  Control internal playback of any melody in the Melody Bank via its start-stop icon.

    •    VST3 format
Melody Sauce 2 can now be loaded as a VST3 plugin from your VST3 plugins folder. This provides lower CPU usage and adds full compatibility with Cubase on the latest Mac computers.

    •    “Export Favourites” option in settings menu to bulk-export midi files from the Favourites bank.

    •    Logic Midi FX: improved stability on M1/M2 Macs
Improves performance and stability of Midi FX in Logic on M1/M2 Macs (Silicon processors).

    •    Multiple bug fixes for various issues across different DAWs (installation, serial activation, sound issues, timing, looping, UI and font issues, and general performance and stability enhancements).

    •    Windows version is now 64-bit only.

    INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

    •    Download the Win or Mac installer from the “Downloads” area of you account at accounts.evabeat.com.
    •    We recommend quitting your DAW first before you starting installation.
    •    Run the Win or Mac installer file.
    •    Open your DAW - depending on the DAW you may need to rescan your plugins via your DAW's plugin manager tool (see our Support Guides for further help).
    •    Load the plugin in your DAW as a VST3 (or as an AU or AU Midi FX in Logic)
    •    You may be required to re-enter your Melody Sauce 2 serial number.

NB: Upgraded Already?  If you’ve already upgraded, your Melody Sauce 2 Upgrade serial becomes your only serial, and you only need to enter this serial into the plugin's first licensing window - do not click on the "Upgrade" button.

For any account or installation problems, please open a support ticket via the Help bubble on our site www.evabeat.com/support.

I am curious what you think of it after you spent some time with it @ZincT  I am a major sucker for MIDI tools, I have Chords, but Chords+Notes just didn't get my attention when I tried it during the Xmas sales.  WA mentions releasing add-ons in the future- kind of the direction Mixed-In-Key and Feel Your Sound seem to be going lately.

UPDATE (ignore what I said earlier if you happen to have read that @Fleer😉

I got it working in Cakewalk - I misread what the PDF manual said, so my fault.

Anyway, all you do is load LoopEngine once and then load as many Listeners as you have tracks with separate MIDI.

Then you set each listener to a different channel by clicking on the relevant button in the plugin.

Then you load up your instruments (I tried Minimonsta2 and Twin 3 this time) and change their input to be from whichever Listener you want to drive that instrument. Pretty easy.

I will also try it on other DAWs and post here if there are any problems.

  9. This is also a cheap way of adding Rumble to the full version of Cube (which I own), thanks @Wibbles

If anyone with the full version of Cube wants to do the same, follow these steps:

    1. Get the Rumble serial from your Pluginboutique account.

    2. Login to Lunacy audio and go here -->https://lunacy.audio/downloads/   then scroll down and enter the serial for Rumble into the "Register License" box

    3. You can now download Rumble and unzip it.

    4. Open Cube and go to the browser, then click the  Add Expansion button bottom left.

    5. Point it to where you unzipped the expansion and then enter the serial at the prompt.

    Done!

BTW I bought Glitchmachines Cryogen for £5 to get the deal.

    P.S.

PM me if you want to swap something for my unregistered copy of Cube Mini. I'm looking for an unregistered serial for UVI Model D.

thanks for the help and advice... worked out ok.

Just FYI  I used as a plug in, just to experiment I bounced to audio file no issue, then I mono'd that track Cakewalk crashed...  re-started and did the same thing again and no issues it worked.

Happy to help, glad you got it sorted 👍🏻

How do you buy at that price it if you don’t live in the UK?

Yes I'm seeing that price in the UK.

Try using a vpn with location set to UK. Might not work though if it checks your address location in your account.

  13. V 1.8.1 Beta 1 just released...

    The update includes:

    • Integration of Vocal Mode into the Parameter Panel for dynamic modulation of voice timbre (Pro edition required).
    • Improved neural vocoder for male vocals, resulting in enhanced sound quality in the bass range.
    • Updates to the available masculine AI voice databases to fully utilize the new capabilities of the neural vocoder.

Make sure to update both the Synthesizer V Studio editor and the voice database to the latest version to access these new features.

Today, we released Synthesizer V Studio 1.8.1b1 public beta update, which brings you a new feature that integrates vocal modes with the Parameter Panel. Now you can use the Parametric Panel to draw vocal mode curves, giving your songs a more nuanced and natural vocal change and far more freedom than the "note level vocal mode switching" concept could ever achieve. By overlaying different vocal lines on the parameter curves, you will discover an even broader dimension of vocal expression.

At the same time, we improved the neural network vocoder under the hood of the editor, bringing tonal improvements in the bass section to the male AI vocal database, where they can now dive deeper with less noise.

     https://dreamtonics.com/synthesizer-v-studio-1-8-1b1-update/

The beta update can be downloaded from that link, and also the male voice databases except for Asterian (Eclipsed Sounds are still working on the update for him, so watch this space).

  14. @Stavv

@Brian Lawler is correct, Synthesizer V is VST3 only.

On my system, the plugin is located in this folder (it looks like you already have this folder included in Cakewalk so you should be good to go)...

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\

and the plugin  (as per Brian's post) is called synthv-studio-plugin-x64.vst3

It should appear under Dreamtonics when you add an instrument (see below).
