  1. Tasteful playing. your guitar's tone was great, what was your signal chain on that?
  2. the echo suits your voice well. I liked the primary motif. very addictive. could have ended at 3'55" or so though.
  3. Bruce, you were able to get through it more than once? It's only 4'30" but feels much longer to me. haha Tina Guo is a cellist who has a cinesamples cello library that's pretty good. Thanks for taking the time to listen to my music.
  4. sounded realistic. Did you use legato patches on the strings (or sustains)? Second question, what did you *play* and what did you *write* into the sequencer? This is really good!
  5. Ok, Douglas nice happy song.
  6. It means alot coming from two of the best composers in the forum. Thanks. Also, I switched the dodgy cello and put in tina guo. It sounds more realistic. Thank you, you two.

    Help

Great song rex. Can't never be more than your are though. What do you do with these songs? Do you perform them? All of them so good.
  8. Kevin, I haven't quite mastered the string quartet with samples. It's hugely experimental.. but maybe an exercise in tension and release(?)
  9. Nigel, it's hugely experimental. I'm glad you enjoyed it
  10. The lyrics suited the music well! Agree with the sentiments of your lyrics.
  11. This reminded me of rocky raccoon for some reason. haha Good one jesse.
  12. Your covers are awesome. It only shared an excerpt for some reason.
  13. jack, thanks for listening. I'm using VSL. The dodgy cello is miroslav. That legato is kind of strange sounding.

    Mariachi

I reworked an old track. Don't ask me why it's called mariachi. https://davidsprouse.bandcamp.com/track/mariachi
  15. mix was very gentle on my ears. Great guitar playing.
  16. Reminded me a little of Billy Squire. Mix sounded great.
  17. This is great. I missed crowd noise as well, and maybe a sing along would work well. It reminds me of something RINGO might write.
  18. big sound in the chorus, guitars sound great. Good one.
  19. I love your new song, bruce. Great topic as well.
  20. Whenever they is *it's different this time* you know it aint so. I could hear in your music the warning form santayana about history. You're a musical wizard, jesse.
  21. Unique choice of harmony..kind of ala metheny in place (that's not a bad thing). Pleasant listen.
  22. glad you weren't offended. thanks for listening! Paul, thanks for watching the video. According to the preppy handbook, a * dirty ralph* is when you barf and there are lots of little chunks in it (usually from drinking). I remember it well....:D
  23. beautiful video, bjorn. Music seemed to suit it well.

I esp like the drums in your tracks. When you play these live, do you repeat the performances verbatim, or does everyone improvise a little? That's a question I've always wondered about jazz performances.
