I just checked my inbox and was delighted to find a response from iZotope Customer Care apologising for the delay and letting me know that an MPS 4 upgrade had now been deposited into my account. Ah, the wonders of synchronicity!
  6. Hi all. I wasn't sure if this was the right place to post about this kind of thing. I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with iZotope support of late, and what kind of time frame the response was received in, if at all? I ask this as I contacted iZotope Customer Care about a bundle upgrade twelve days ago (I didnt get the advertised free upgrade to MPS 4 after buying and registering MPS 3 a week earlier) and haven't received a response beyond the standard initial automated "your request has been received" type response received shortly after submitting my request. __________ The first part of that initial automated response: Thanks for contacting iZotope Customer Care. Your request has been received and is being reviewed by our support staff. We will respond to your ticket in the order in which it was received. Please note, due to increased volume requests may take longer than usual to receive a response. We are working as quickly as possible to reach out in regards to your issue. __________ While it's reasonable to assume that this is a pretty busy time for iZotope, is twelve days without a word too long? Thanks in advance for any time and attention given.
  7. Inexplicably, I wasn't familiar with Acustica Audio before this year. It's a mystery to me now how I'd managed to overlook them for so long! Suffice it to say, it was after reading your post about getting Nebula the last time it was on sale that I became curious and set off down the rabbit hole. I bought Nebula a few days later and happily have been slowly adding to my AA collection with Acqua offerings ever since. But ever the procrastinator, I've still yet to go the third party route for Nebula options.

  9. I don't have this product myself. But what I have heard of it does sound really quite nice for something in this price range. If you'd like a good example of how it sounds in action I would recommend checking out Simeon Amburgey's 'First Look' video published on YouTube on June 13 of this year. Love your work, Simeon! I decided not to link to the video here myself, just in case Simeon would like to do so with a suitable lead in description himself. But otherwise, it's easy enough to find with a simple search.
  10. While I have an abundance of samples, I have comparitively only very few vocal samples. I can see that this set would have quite limited use. But maybe it could be useful as fairly cheaply priced, half decent fodder for experimentation with vocoder, morph, glitch, verb (and so on) sound designy type tools, in spite of that of it which sounds a little on the verbally incoherent side. Is this silly thinking? I honestly don't really know. I've missed a lot of sleep in recent days.

    I can access it, but then it redirects to TVC-mall within a few seconds of JRR Shop loading. TVC Mall is in Shenzen, China. Slightly unrelated, but perhaps still worthy of note in my books: On July 29 I googled "jrrshop" and clicked the top result which took me to japan.jrrshop.com which was odd. Directly after this I visited Plugin Boutique and while there was surprised to find VAT was being added. I've never had VAT added before, ever. It seems this was due to location-related site settings having been changed in my browser, unbeknownst to me up until that moment. Odd, to say the least. I then changed site settings for PB in my browser, after which things returned to normal,. i.e., no VAT being added to prices. (Incidentally, japan.jrrshop.com is presently also redirecting to TVC Mall.) A couple of days ago my bad JRR Shop checkout experience happened (I posted about this earlier in this thread). And then when I happened to visit Plugin Boutique directly after that I found VAT was being added again. Location-related site settings for PB had changed again, unbeknownst to me. Odd, and a little concerning by now. (Incidentally, when I had the pricing issue at PB in July it also ocurred when I then went on to sign into PB on a different device altogether. I didn't try on a different device when it happened the second time recently.) Since the aforementioned bad JRR Shop checkout experience happened (during which I was attempting to pay with Paypal) I've received an email appearing to be from PayPal, stating that my PayPal account has been restricted due to bad activity. The email contains a link supposedly to login to Paypal. All signs point to this email being scam related, and I have disregarded it as such. The question now beckons, is my bad JRR Shop checkout experience involving Paypal in any way related to me receiving a scam email phishing for my PayPal login credentials soon afterward? The common factor in all of the above has been JRR Shop. Coincidence, or otherwise? I hope I'm quite wrong. But personally, after seeing this latest issue with the redirection to TVC Mall, and in light of the above mentioned experiences, I'm inclined to deem visiting JRR Shop a potential risk of some kind at this time, and to be avoided for caution sake.

    Thanks for following up with this reassuring reply. I hope the wording of my post wasn't too seemingly overreactive. My concern was that each of my several near-complete but essentially failed checkout attempts might still have been resulting in an erroneous expensively excessive set of transactions. In retrospect, persisting after each fail may have been a little foolhardy. Incidentally, it turns out no transaction activity involving JRR eventuated. For as long as I've been buying audio software JRR has always been a favourite when either browsing or purchasing. Thinking back, I've had contact with support there only once. On that ocassion a few years back Uncle E replied to a support request email within very short time with a better than hoped for outcome. I recall being rather impressed at the time. As for today's case, the item being sought was likely going to return from sale price to regular price soon and it was outside JRR's contact hours, so I turned elsewhere. In the end I was able to get Izotope MPS3 upgrade from MPS1 for $268 at Plugin Discounts, as opposed to the $255 that it would've been at JRR. I look forward to seeing the JRR webshop back in reliably good health in the hopefully not too distant future!

    JRR Shop is in somewhat down territory again presently. It did appear to be back to normal briefly a few mins ago, during which time I attempted a purchase, but to no avail. The checkout process was broke as a joke, failing several times to complete just short of completing the final step. And then the site went back to being unusable again. Following this discomforting recurrent failed checkout experience I feel compelled to strongly advise avoiding attempting to purchase anything via the JRR Shop website presently, even if the site returns to appearing functional again. Having said that, I don't know how contacting JRR's directly to get a purchase done would go.
  14. Twenty eight Kilohearts licenses, but have never had a $30 monthly voucher come my way. There's a $100 voucher as a subscriber reward for every 12 months subscribed (I'm not a subscriber). But I'm unable to find any info about a monthly voucher.
  15. According to the countdown timer in the email I received about this deal, it's set to end in around 3/4 of an hour. Is there anyone who has used it that can chime in at this late stage with thoughts about it? I can get it for around $3 with loyalty points, which is a steal. Just wondering what (if any) its negatives might be.
  16. Will do, Grem. I'm actually now also beginning to wonder if there might be an element of truth to this. In the twelve days since placing my first and only ever order (Nectar 3 for $29) at Musician's Friend I've counted nineteen emails from them (sometimes several in one day). One was an order confirmation notification while the other eighteen have been marketing spam purposed basically to entice me to order more stuff from them. At this stage my order is still 'Processing'. I've been waiting for them to contact me about what's going on as the onus is squarely on them to do that. Their automated marketing spam send-out's aside, I'm wondering if my order might've actually fallen through their system's cracks somehow. If day 14 comes and my order is still 'Processing' then I'll email them to push for a resolution.

At this point, after nine and a half days of waiting for my order status to progress beyond 'Processing' while receiving no contact other than the regular daily deal emails, I'm inclined to just simply write this off as a loss and move on. If the order does happen to complete sometime then I'll count it as an unexpected bonus. 'Musician's Friend'? Ironic.
  18. It's a good'n alright! While I count Boz's plugins in general as favourites, this one typically sees most regular usage. It does its thing well and with an absolute minimum of fuss. No faffing around. Nice.
  19. Same boat here. I had previously stated that all I'd received since ordering is an order confirmation email. But I have actually also been receiving the daily Stupid Email of the Day . . . I mean, um... Stupid Deal of the Day email. In fairness to Musician's friend they've probably just got a lot on their plate of late. But the daily deal email thing really is starting to rub me the wrong way. Ideally, a customer should be able to have a purchased software product registered, downloaded and installed within minutes or hours of ordering. Instead I'm just receiving unwanted regular-as-clockwork deal enticement spam and no word whatsoever about the order. Order status: still 'Processing', eight and a half days and counting.

  21. There were a few Zynaptiq products on sale consecutively earlier this year with pretty good discounts, including this one (in late April), Wormhole, Intensity and Unfilter. I don't know if any of their other products were also included. Maybe there'll be a series of consecutive sales again this time around. But this is just a guess.
  22. CPU and latency issues aside, I think this one is well worth snapping up when on sale like this! Definitely worth demoing if one is unsure. Incidentally, it has been on sale for this price previously, e.g. April of this year.

According to someone posting about this deal on reddit who contacted support, they were told that the system takes longer to process orders for first time buyers, and that a code will be sent within a couple of hours of the payment processing. After contacting support a second time they were told that there's a 1-2 business day manual processing time and that they don't work on weekends, after which it'll take up to 24 hrs for the code to be sent. I'm not ecactly sure of what to make of all that. But I think the basic gist is that it could be a few days yet before an outcome is known.
