    Lost in Time

This is really good, I love the build to the break and the riff all the way through quality seems a bit lacking (might be these cans I'm using) to me it's a bit different to your normal stuff ... Great work! Steve

    THROWN AWAY

Many thanks for the compliment ..For me I think it goes on a bit without to much variance but there was a message to relay, and it was done a few years back, I'd probably do it a different now ...but thanks for listening Regards Steve
  6. I'm wondering if anyone like myself built the organ from when it was Electronics and Music Maker ? Don't subscribe now but I have to agree it is the best read. I too ditched them ... and wish I hadn't ... still Steve
  7. This is the kind of stuff I love and the way we all used to record our gems. Have to say it has overtones of early John Lennon and the guitar playing reminds me of 'Dear Prudence' .. I was a Tascam man myself from a two track reel to reel to a 4 track but still remember the day I purchased my ultimate recorder Tascam Midi studio 8track running at twice the speed of a normal cassette recorder ... I've rebuilt and repaired twice over the years 'cause it's so dam' good and I still have and use it ! This song cries out to be remixed ... thanks for the post really enjoyed the trip down mems street Steve
  8. Very high class vocal on this track, nice tight guitar & drums ... not sure about the echo, I feel the fade outs should be shorter and perhaps used a little lighter in the mix. Small niggle though 'cause I enjoyed this a lot. Steve
  9. Really Great mix ... Soo tight, have to say I'm not one for instrumentals but there's always an exception to that rule. Good work ! Steve

    Thanks for comment Steve
  11. Great back story to raise the appetite to listen to this ... wonderful clear sound overall and I for one just feel the piano bit, If mixed a with little compression and a tad of more reverb, would sound OK.... Just for the record though, Tom is most probably correct .... Great stuff and I enjoyed it immensely, so thanks Steve

    THROWN AWAY

Another Love Song (Thrown Away) (Copyright SupaReels Music) I was thinking only yesterday, Just how many words I've thrown away. In these songs that I'm sure you knew Every love song was made for you... (Rhythm start) On the wall hangs a photograph, Of a place we used to go We drank coffee there in the morning sun I think they called it Michel Angelo We walked for miles as the sun came up Sharing our thoughts without a care And to a sunset we made love In my heart I often go there Guitar break There were times as I lay by your side It felt so good to be together But I feared as lovers often do That it couldn't last forever …. I can't explain though I've tried every way The love I have for you wont go away I'm realizing with each passing day I'll always love you more than songs can say But I can't help it when I think of you I just pick up the old guitar and play It's the only thing that I can do To nurse a broken heart another day Just as a moth is drawn into the flame I can't help myself from trying To write a song that wins your heart again And prove my love is undying So once again old friend I'm here with you Nothing changes but the rhyme Another love song to throw away With silly words she will never find Lost piano sound (heavy reverb) to end.

    Silver Lining

Hi m8 Love the message and the song, the mix needs a little tidying but nothing you can't handle ( sound a little rushed ? .. dunno I'll have another listen) Powerful stuff though ...really is .. Great work, Great lyrics Stay loose All the best Steve
  22. I have to agree with the comments made here. Good instrumental that needs a bit of pruning ... only thing I can say is if it were my mix I would kill the reverb and check each track has the right balance and placement. In these old ears and everything seems to fighting without a winner. I'm not sure if your using one FX out for reverb, but if so use different delay times making separate instrument busses for the main mix to further a clearer overall sound. EQ often helps to remove some middle/ muddle ... Anyway' .... It's hard getting a mix right but I have to agree with Tom ..however, I feel, this is worth a little extra time .. Hope this helps 🤔 Regards Steve

    FALLEN

I have three grown kids, seven little grandsods ... and a loving (very understanding) wife .... and after a lot of climbing life's wobbly ladder and getting near the top, my feeling is mostly disappointment the world is as is. I am a great believer in the power of words but as you say it's hard to get the emotion of a rhyme within a song that conveys the whole meaning of what your trying to convey. Thankyou for understanding and taking the time to post .. for me, it makes it all worthwhile 👍 Best regards Steve
