    Audio Issues

I don't think that's the issue. If it were just that, the metronome would still be working. I honestly don't know what it could be other than Cakewalk just being weird and flaky.

    Audio Issues

Hey, So it seems that Cakewalk, for me, has decided to just stop working audio-wise. There's no audio coming from recording or play back, Even the metronome, which I had on for both playback and recording, isn't making any noise. Now, usually when something goes wrong, like this, or updating Opus in the middle of working on my project, I always copy my MIDI and paste it into a separate project so I always have it and don't have to rerecord it, that way if I need to delete any tracks for some reason, I can copy the MIDI from the back up project and paste it back where it was before. When I first had this audio issue, I tried deleting the tracks, copying and pasting the MIDI tracks from my back up MIDI project, readding the same tracks with the same instruments I had before, then putting the MIDI back in the tacks they belong in. It worked, but then when I reopened Cakewalk after exiting to take a break, the same problem was back. I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but if so, I would appreciate some pointers. Thank you.
  3. I contacted them, they are helping me resolve this issue. Thank you.
  4. That's odd... When I had some of the EW libraries installed on my old laptop, they appeared in Cakewalk just fine, and they were in the folder Cakewalk was set to scan back then. No other sort of player needed. So, naturally, I expected the same result once I got my ilok license transferred. But, if no one else can help figure that out, what is a player that I can drag these libraries to and how do I do it?
  5. Hello, I just finished downloading 8 libraries from EastWest Composer Cloud onto my new computer. I have the ilok license I need in order to use Composer Cloud, and my Cakewalk has been set up to scan the folder where where I directed those libraries. Even after all this, Cakewalk isn't detecting any of these libraries. I don't know what else is missing, and would appreciate some assistance. Johnny
  6. I read an article on bedroomproducersblog.com that Arcane by Embertone will REPORTEDLY qualify for a crossgrade. Can anyone tell me if this is legit?
  7. I am curious... If I already have the free Kontakt player, will I be able to upgrade to the full version for a lower price? I'm guessing not since the player version is free, but I just thought I'd ask.
  8. So I uninstalled and reinstalled NA to see if I missed it asking me anything about plugin formats, which it didn't. I still only have a 32-bit directory. I haven't reinstalled Kontakt as I want to make sure it goes to 64 bit before I do. And I looked in my computer settings, it is a 64-bit OS. JonD, I will message you.
  9. Okay, so here's what I did: 1. I uninstalled Kontakt. 2. I clicked preferences in Native Access. 3. Under File Locations, I clicked VST 64 Location, then it took me to C:/Programs/Native Instruments 4: I clicked Select Folder, which I thought would... make a VST64 Folder? Unless its supposed to be there by default, I don't know. 5: I reinstalled Kontakt, and it STILL went into the 32 bit folder by default. What am I missing? And to anyone who says to specify 64-bit in the drop down menu before installing like in the how-to video: it DOES NOT give me a drop down menu. Does it go to 32-bit by default because I'm using a laptop rather than a desktop? What do I do given these circumstances? I'm about ready to call it quits here.
  10. John's idea worked. The only thing is that its 32 bit. Is that a problem?
  11. I've already uninstalled My NI stuff. I've done everything as instructed by the video Nigel sent up to the point of clicking but still isn't giving me the option to select VST and VST. It just goes straight to downloading. So unless there are any solutions to that, I'll try John's idea. This is very mind numbing...
  12. I feel like that's for people who are installing it for the first time. I'm trying to figure out how to REinstall it as a VST and VST3. All I can think of doing is deleting everything (maybe even chrome) and starting from scratch.
  13. It only lets me reinstall. There's no pull-down menu or whatever that lets me select VST and VST3. I even tried running Native Access as an administrator, made no difference.
  14. Is there way to run it in that way in the link the email sends me? I'm sorry, I'm still not really following. All i can think of is deleting the Kontakt I have on my desktop and starting over, keep doing it until I can figure out how to get it to where I need it to be. I downloaded the free player version.
  15. I've downloaded Kontakt 6, but it only appears on my desktop. I need step by step instructions on how to get it from my desktop to where Cakewalk can see it. Thanks in advance for the help.
