  1. Ooooh. Just bought a great audio computer but dang I need to resist begging you for first right of refusal on that OG Rockman 🙂
  2. We'll make it right. I'll find a fantastic paperweight during Prime Day and send it to you.
  3. I wish I still had mine. I've played through the Rockman head and cabinet too, wayyy back when, but didn't own one. Sounded really cool too. My middle school and early high school rig was a Rockman out to two Peavey amps. Wasn't bad but then I picked up a JCM800 and that was just dreamy.
  4. I needed another Echo so I picked up the $10 Flex and some smart lightbulbs. Set for computer components since my 24-core beast will arrive later this week or early next week and has enough drives etc.
  5. ...and only for you all here, I can see where anybody who might feel a bit suspicious of this kind of thing might be coming from. But I think it is worth a listen, as I was just giving it an academic listen the first time I was sent this track but it is a really good guitar track regardless of what he used etc etc. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it is all AmpliTube Joe Satriani and AXE I/O but I just really like this track and think it stands on its own.
  6. IK Multimedia is proud to unveil “Joe Satriani’s AmpliTube Shifting Song,” an original song written and recorded by the world-renowned guitarist himself that offers a unique retrospective of the many aspirational tones that span his full career. Joe Satriani performed all of the guitar and keyboard parts in the song. He recorded all of the guitar parts using the AmpliTube Joe Satriani collection. Everyone is invited to listen to the song for free, and even try shredding along! Listen here. Owners of AmpliTube Joe Satriani can also explore the settings used on the song. Satriani shares his inspiration and gear set up for the new song: “I had so much fun exploring my legacy tones and techniques on this musical trip down memory lane. It was all done with IK Multimedia’s AmpliTube Joe Satriani Collection software suite!" Available for Mac/PC, iPhone and iPad, and able to work both as a desktop app and plug-in for any DAW, AmpliTube Joe Satriani offers users instant access to play, practice and record using precise models of the guitarist’s amps and pedals that were created with Satriani himself. It reflects the guitarist’s reputation as a tone and gear connoisseur by featuring models of both classic and artist signature pieces, along with some fan favorites. Each model was created to Satriani’s exact specifications, for an authentic user experience. Learn more about AmpliTube Joe Satriani here.
  7. Sorry to hear that, I'm not sure what would cause that. For the applications themselves I'd say the downloads for each aren't that large so if you could in the mean time (and if you have not done so already) download those and install you'll be for sure getting the newest version and a smoother installation. I'd see what IK Support does for the much larger sound libraries, though, and for the general potential issue with that particular USB stick.
  8. I have AT&T gigabit fiber here and it is really great. I'd still rather have FiOS but it wasn't available where I am now. I just like the account management and other non-connection-related stuff from Verizon a little bit more. AT&T's login/t management tools are a bit behind. But the internet service is reliable and fast with fiber. I do have AT&T TV because the package was super cheap and it is interesting as it isn't literally "cable" so they're basically offering the cable channel lineup as a streaming service. Seems a bit "one foot in, one foot out" effort but I'm OK with it because I don't need to use the existing coax ports in the house so I can pull ethernet to replace those cable runs very easily (tie one to the other, pull the old out while the new gets pulled up through the walls basically).
  9. Though just so nobody gets confused, our crossgrade pricing is not competitive crossgrade pricing it requires an IK product. Though I have suggested we might want to offer competitive crossgrades in the future...
  10. I didn't make the pilgrimage to the left coast like a bunch of my schoolmates did to "make it" (and to be fair, quite a few did actually do well) because I am definitely not a huge fan of the pace and vibe being that I'm into a more northern pace. I've been adjusting to the "speed of the south" down here since the move and that's more than enough to keep my busy, and the weather is really what makes it worth it. I have the same experience with almost exactly that type of product, too, going back to Amazon. I find it is a good place for some replacement kitchen accessories etc like these (can't remember the brand name) glass containers my wife picked up at the thrift store which don't have lids and the company that makes the containers no longer stocks the replacement lids. Which sucks because through them they were free with a really tiny shipping cost. I also do enjoy the quality of some essentials that Amazon Basics offers at good prices and that's probably the main reason I keep my Prime membership. The streaming service is probably the last I use when watching anything, to be honest. Not bad stuff there, but not my go to either.
  11. 149.99 is not what people buying the first time would pay. If you're new to IK you'd qualify for a price $100 higher ($249.99). We offer a great crossgrade to people who own other IK products, yes, as that is giving customers a great deal.
  12. Sorry to hear that. My wife and I went a couple of years ago and were just reminiscing about that trip. It was a great combination of only some really touristy things and some more organic experiences in both NY and NJ. She had only been there once before and decades ago so we really needed to see at least some of the major sights. I'm now in the southern US so I really miss the pizza and bagels. There's some that are decent down here but it is just next level in NY/NJ. Sorry to derail, though, I also wish I had a Microcenter as I would give them a lot of business. And on topic, I understand some of the sentiments about Amazon but I still keep my Prime membership and IK does sell there, which is also a fun experience to say the least. Can't really get into a lot of that, it's not bad per se but it can be challenging and if you think their customer-facing presence is "ever evolving", the back end stuff is similar but a little crazier. B&H is also a dealer for us so I don't feel bad at all giving them regular business since I don't have any good local PC parts sources. That said, I did buy my upgraded AIO cooling system on Amazon a few months back and that showed up quickly and was all good. Good unit, too, a CoolerMaster which is a "budget" choice but the performance isn't really feeling very budget. Was showing way too high temps and probably could have tweaked things like reseating the original unit with new thermal paste etc but it was also time to upgrade from 120mm to 240mm and change the airflow pattern anyway. Sorry for the wall o' text with about one part that was actually on topic
  13. B&H is good for computer components too, at least in my experience. I might just be used to that "New York City" experience since I used to live very close and enjoyed buying things on 48th Street. The haggle is part of the fun there.
  14. You qualify for the lowest price for this which is the upgrade at 149.99.

  17. All right, if you insist. Oh, and nobody has as much fun as Zo from what I can tell. It's something to aspire to
  18. If you'd PM your IK username I can see if there's anything I can figure out about this. I know it is $1 basically, but I don't like that you expected to use 45 and only got to use 44 JamPoints. I'd like to make it up to you, hopefully with more than $1 worth of something and/or effort at the very least. Just don't tell the folks over at Gearslutz that like to hate on me a bit at the moment. Wouldn't want them thinking I was nice or something.

  20. All that and I forgot something important that I'll also post on the other MixBox thread: Great news! MixBox 1.0.1 is now available for download via IK Product Manager. 21. Agreed on us not making a DAW. We've been asked, we have the technology/capability and all, but it is just something that would probably take too much focus off of the plugins that we make for the existing great DAWs. Plus, that one that went free - can't recall the name - and that other one with the deathly name which has the most forgiving trial period ever, etc alongside the very mature set of DAWs plus some more recent powerhouses just makes it a risky game to play. Of course things change but for now, no DAW plans. Thankfully. Thank you for the kind words, always happy to give praise where due. I'm glad you are not some flash in the pan YouTuber "influencer" and remain a real producer and you give great insight in your honest videos. And you're constructive, just like the vibe I get here overall. For a DAW/company-specific forum, this is still among the best general audio/recording/music forums I frequent. I won't name names of others since someone on a certain other forum got a little offended that I compared that forum to another in a certain light. Hey, I shoot from the hip and if the shoe fits I'll slip it right on ya! Have to admit you had me in the first half there.
  22. That's a good point. I like that the IT team greyed out what you have but this is another aspect of that which should be considered however it might be able to be done. I'll let them know. We are trying to make it easier to know what is in any of the virtual instrument products especially items like SampleTank MAX. We've added/changed things on some of our web pages to be much more clear and you can even see "Included In:" on the instrument pages like Spaceport '77 where you'll know it isn't bundled anywhere at this time. MAX products contain what is available at the time of their release. Similar to some other bundles that might not be as "complete" as they were when originally offered after some other products have come out. Totally understand the feeling. I got hooked on IK stuff back in the day when there was some crazy group buy with a bunch of AmpliTube products.
  23. @Zo - You're a gem. You will never be accused of making short videos, but you will also never be accused of making shoddy videos. Well done, and love that you go outside of a boring/typical "review" and all that. Everybody else, thanks for the kind words, suggestions, and consideration of MixBox.
  24. Yes, for sure will hit that tier. Looks like today is the day.
