  1. I'm keen to pick up Oddity to round out the collection (OB-E, ImpOSCar, Minimonsta, Virtual String Machine, M Tron Pro LE) Only question is whether the sale is going to appear on any reseller sites. I'll probably wait a few days to see.
  2. Glad I got it. Really seems to offer a unique vibey sound compared to IRs and native plugins (I'm mainly wanting it for reverbs). If anyone else picked this up and is now, like me, waiting for some nebula libraries to go on sale, which might be black Friday, Tim Cupwise has discounted a few of his products. I'm mainly interested in his plate reverbs though. Tim Petherick has an intro price discount of 35% off the Mini 86/89 Reverb library using the code miniverb. I picked this up and have been enjoying playing with it. https://www.timpetherick.co.uk/downloads/mini-86-89-verb/ Vnxt and TimP have a couple of demo presets for their plate reverbs that are worth checking out to whet your appetite. I've lost interest in my plate plugins for the moment after listening to these nebula plates.
  3. It was $49 on the 20th of January with code CELESTION50 I picked it up at the time. I thought it offered a lot of options for the money, and liked the fact it was not another one of those plugins that exists to sell in-app content, such as IRs/DynIRs etc. With this one all the content is included in the initial asking price. Probably the downside of all its options is you need to know what you're doing to get a good result, a bit like with Amplitube 5's cab modelling. Whereas with something like GGD Cali or Zilla it has a small number of options that just work (at least for high gain stuff) so you can dial in something that sounds good really quickly. Definitely one to demo before buying so you'll know what you're getting.
  4. Oh man, that guy is a brilliant choice to demo this thing. Totally sold me on it, even though I really don't need any more reverbs lol. What's one more in the collection 🙂
  5. It hasn't been on sale in ages, I read somewhere that since Acustica doesn't make any money from third party libraries with this product it wouldn't be offered on sale any more. So I think that's why these sales are few and far between nowadays. I don't think it went on sale at all in 2021.
  6. I've been waiting on this one. Must be a sucker for punishment though. My aging system is going to creak under the weight of this haha.
  7. Oops accidentally posted that just as I was starting to write it. Might have toned it down during editing otherwise. I guess the universe wanted me to tell it like it is, lol.
  8. Glad you are happy with the update. Haha whereas I'm more like, shut up and never contact me again.
  9. Saw an email from Spectre Digital in my junk folder. This one had the subject line "Making sure you saw this". My immediate reaction was "Oh, here we go". I've never done a faster 180, after seeing what it was about! I've really enjoyed Scott's Chernobyl Studios videos on YouTube. Picked up the Complete bundle shortly thereafter. Here's the email I received: -- We just wanted to make sure you saw this... Short version: One of our instructors, Scott Elliott, is rebuilding his life after having to flee Ukraine with his family, including a young daughter. Therefore we have put his course bundle on sale at a massive discount for a limited time, with all revenue going to Scott directly. You'll also receive Glenn Fricker's Total Heavy Guitar with purchase. There is also an option to donate to Scott directly. All links are below. For the long version, keep reading... You may or may not know: One of our instructors, Scott Elliott - Mixing Your First Metal Song, Guitar Tone Mastery, etc. - was centered in Kyiv, Ukraine until recently. He lived there with his wife and daughter. And he had a studio called, appropriately, Chernobyl Studios. Due to recent events, Scott and his family were forced leave their home. You can read the full story, in his words, below. The Spectre Team wanted to help Scott. So for a limited time we are offering the Complete Chernobyl Bundle on sale for 40% off, with all revenue going to Scott directly. The rest of the team will not be taking payment for this. This bundle includes 4 of Scott's excellent metal production courses: - Mixing Your First Metal Song - Mixing Extreme Metal - Guitar Tone Mastery - Metal Drum Programming Mastery In addition, anyone who purchases the Complete Bundle during this time will ALSO receive Glenn Fricker’s Total Heavy Guitar for FREE. This is the perfect compliment to Scott’s mixing and tone crafting courses. And we’re giving it away, along with a massive discount on Scott’s complete bundle. If you already have his courses, there is also an option to donate to him directly HERE. Please read the message from Scott below. And if you’re interested in supporting him, please check out his courses, the bundle, or the donation page. All links will be at the bottom of this email. Enter Scott: My family and I are safe and out of Ukraine. It was a grueling trip that ran the full gamut of emotion and stress. From extremely crowded trains and busses, to standing in below freezing weather at the border for 7 hours for nothing... to coming to near blows with others as we pushed and shoved to get on the trains and busses... to risking it all on an anonymous driver to take us to another part of the country with marshal law in effect hoping he wasn't going to just kill us or drop us off in the middle of nowhere after we paid, but we got out. I'm not one to advertise my adversity or try to throw a pity party, but here are the facts. Everything i worked for since 2015 is gone. We have only what we could carry and it wasn't much. The likelihood of being able to return to Kiev anytime soon is low. Its difficult to comprehend this. Its for this reason I asked for all of my courses to be put on sale to raise money so that my family can rebuild and so my dream of Chernobyl Studios can live again. I wish to provide value and help you while you are helping my family and I. Additionally, I asked for a donation page to be set up in the event you already had my courses but still wished to help. That link is included in my post but don't forget that my courses are all on sale. I also humbly request that if you can't donate, its perfectly okay. I don't want you to put yourself at risk at my expense. In this case please share the link and that will be more than enough. To the hundreds of you (literally) that messaged and offered help... I don't even know what to say. I'm simply at a loss for words. I just can't even express what I'm trying to say. From my family and I, thank you. Sincerely. If you’d like to support Scott, please check the following links. And feel free to forward this email to any of your fellow musicians who would like to grab some amazing courses while supporting a metal brother in need. >>>The Chernobyl Complete Bundle (40% off + get Glenn Fricker’s Total Heavy Guitar for FREE) >>>DONATE to Scott directly HERE >>>Mixing Your First Metal Song (perfect for beginners) >>>Mixing Extreme Metal (our most comprehensive metal production course) >>>Guitar Tone Mastery (highly popular) >>>Metal Drum Programming Mastery (specialized knowledge for extreme metal drum programming) Thank you, Team Spectre
  10. What kinds of things are you wanting to use RX9 Advanced for? I've got a bunch of voice memos I think it might come in handy for to clean up, but I'm not sure what else I could use it for.
  11. Bought the first version in November when it was $49.98. Pretty sure everyone who did that is going to be feeling the same way right now. Maybe I'll be waiting to just before they launch version 3 to upgrade to version 2 at a reasonable price.
  12. I'm not sure if the performance really lines up with the claims, but if they're right that the GPU performance is broadly on par with a GeForce RTX 3090 that should be factored into the value equation... those GPUs are not cheap!
  13. Well that happened quickly! I noticed how it looks like it's priced in such a way that MPS is included for free and thought I'd have to eat humble pie, but then I checked and saw the upgrade is $200 more than its been at its lowest during the summer sale. $299 is my upgrade price so this is a discount but not free. Will I be right about Izotope upgrades being around the corner? More importantly... How much will they charge Everything Bundle customers to upgrade...
  14. My 8 track license has expired in terms of update support and I continue to think about whether I should evaluate bitwig given how much I love ableton's work flow. I probably should just demo the full thing though rather than stuff about with a super limited 8 track 2 VST version I guess there'll be another exclusive offer to upgrade from 8 track to the full version sometime after this month.
  15. If it works for Prologue, it's a start
  16. For some reason the feedback control doesn't seem to be working here, so I get a single echo and that's it... seems rather odd, and takes all of the joy out of it hahaha. Also - is it just me or are there no presets?
  17. I think it's likely to be a reciprocal offer on Native Instruments site that mirrors this one... bundled discounted pricing. Probably in time for their summer sale in May before v14 comes out in October. This is some pretty sharp pricing from Izotope. I reckon v10 is around the corner. And that means hooking punters in to pay for upgrades later. Obviously no one who already has skin in the game wants to switch to a subscription, so they have to keep offering upgrades to people like us. They probably waited a while to see who would switch and now have realised it's not something everyone wants. And people can't upgrade unless they keep releasing new versions.
  18. Interesting, I thought they'd add Newfangled Audio's plugins to this bundle.
  19. When I demoed this, I thought it sounded amazing. But heavy on the CPU. But amazing!
