I have been jonesing for some high quality pedal sims lately and stumbled across this bundle by Audified. I hadn't seen it go on sale before, but I found a code on a YouTube promo code that saved me 20% so it came down to $55. I bought it almost immediately. I was very happy with that. Because they sound as good as the very best pedal sims out there. And you get quite a few in the bundle. These are a noticeable step above the quality of pedals you get in bundles like HELIX, Amp Room, Amplitube, TH-U, and Bias FX. I pulled the trigger on the Benson Chimera amp / pedal / reverb package. It beat out Scuffham S-Gear for sound quality / mojo and I decided I couldn't live without it 🙂 The hardware pedals go for a couple of hundred bucks each, and there's three modelled pedals in the package. Seems like a bargain when you look at it like that! The spring reverb sounds incredible, and I managed to get a better sound out of the cab section than my gold standard for cab IRs, the Nebula PwrCabs library by DiBiQuadro. You get separate plugins for the reverb and the pedals so you can use them with other gear.

Installed the new version in hopes of a speed boost but it still takes 20 seconds to open the plugin, and two full seconds to display the preset menu after clicking. Am I just lucky, or is it as slow for everyone else too?

I love Softube's synths. Will have to demo this and see if I can justify it considering I already have TAL Bassline and D16 Lush 101. If it's anything like Model 84, Softube's magic touch will basically make it sell itself. Their synths have mojo.

What equipment are you listening on? It's the high end that's really rolled off with Amplitube.

Are you able to hear how Amplitube is really rolled off compared to the other two? I listened using Sennheiser HD-600's, and it really sounds deadened compared to the other two. But I do like high gain metal 🙂 I wonder if it was using the same IR for all three though.

The latest is version 1.8.something I joined their Facebook group to find out about upgrade pricing, and it seems version 2 is planned for either late 2022 or sometime in 2023, and the upgrade cost is likely to be a little under 100€.

I wondered about this too as I also had crashes, but noticed something with the demo - it's version 1.4.2 which is quite some way behind the current version. I had heard that it was pirated some time back, that may be why they haven't updated the demo.

On Facebook they suggest a version with VST3 and Apple silicon support is coming. Just no dates on when.
