This happens with all my UAD plugins. I am using a UA Arrow.
The Arrow and Cakewalk have worked great. No issues.
Now that I'm multi-tracking more stuff I've begun to send to buses, mainly vocals.
If I use any other plugin from a different vendor on the bus it works fine.
Can someone with UAD plugins take these steps and verify that it's across the board or am I the only one with this problem.
Again this is using UAD plugins.
Record something onto a track. It doesn't matter if its mono or Stereo.
And play back with...
If I put a UAD plugin onto the track FX and I pan left. The plug in will sound through on the left speaker.
If I put a UAD plugin onto the track FX and I pan Right. The plug in will sound through on the right speaker.
Now if I remove the plugin on the track FX and I :
In the Console view I Create a new Stereo Bus. (The name will default to Bus E.)
I then assign my track output to Bus E.
I then assign a UAD plugin to the FX rack inside the bus.
If I play audio now I can hear left and right speakers but effect is only in the left speaker.
If I pan 100% left in the Track Pan I can hear the effect.
If I pan 99% right in the Track Pan i can Hear the audio but with no effect.
Most times if I pan 100% right the audio will play for a second and then cut out.
sometimes if it's panned 100% right the audio will play but it never has the effect.
If I return the Track pan to center and then Pan the Bus E to 100% Left I can hear the effect
If I Pan the Bus E to 100% Right I can hear the audio with No effect.
In the Buss It seems that the UAD plugin is only working on the left channel.
If I then Change the Bus E to Mono.
The Bus E Pan knob now works. 100% left the effect works only in the left speaker.
100% right and the effect only works in the right speaker.
I return the Bus E pan to center thinking that fixed it.
But know that the Bus E is in Mono
Back in the Track section. The Pan left and right has no effect.
Any and all help much appreciated.
Edit Preferences click on Project Record tab on left. Select the Overwrite button. Then select apply button at bottom of window. I believe it defaults to Comping that's why your hearing your old recording.
