    Runtime Error

May be plug-in specific. Bitbridge only loads when a 32bit plug-in is detected in the project. See if removing 32bit plug-ins from the project solves the problem. This may require starting in safe mode. To open a project in safe mode, hold down the SHIFT key while opening the project. When opening a project in safe mode, it is possible to skip loading plug-ins.
  2. Likely the Aim Assist Time which may be toggled from the main menu Edit > Aim Assist > Show Aim Assist Time
  3. MIDI clips do not store channel information. Channel, like pitch and velocity, is a MIDI note property. Channel may be modified in selected notes using the event list view, note properties dialog and event inspector module. Channel may be overridden by the channel drop down in the instrument/MIDI track inspectors and headers.
  4. Yeah, having buses after the "master" bus before the signal leaves the DAW can be handy.
  5. I supposed an argument could be made either way but this seems like an unintended consequence of locking the screenset (aka bug).
  6. It is possible to run jBridged 64bit plug-ins in 32bit hosts.
  7. This is a pretty big change to the DAWs architecture. Buses do not store clip data. For now, If you wish to sum audio and store the result in something like a bus consider aux tracks.
  8. This is the traditional way to create multiple mixes for monitoring and is pretty common. What seems unusual is the requirement to switch between speakers and headphones on-the-fly using the same mix. Normally comparing the same mix with different monitors is done outside the DAW. That said, adding an extra bus and grouping the master and monitor mute buttons should work.

    Panning not Panning

If these projects were created prior to SONAR 8.5.2 it may be necessary to set PanLawCompatMode to 1 in AUD.ini
  10. Duo's are mirrored drives already. Regular My Book's are single drive enclosures. I purchase My Book drives in pairs. $100 off 16TB My Book looks pretty good.
  11. While I have no interest in My Book Dou, a lot of the regular My Book line is also on sale.
  12. You may replace the keyboard shown in the label pane next to the note pane in the PRV with any text. This is done by creating the data in the note names section of the master instrument definitions file. Once the instrument definition is added; the note names may be displayed by right-clicking the keyboard in the label pane and selected the alternate note names from the note names dialog.
  13. Rx10 feature matrix Spectral de-noise js NOT included w Elements
  14. I picked up Elements on a blowout sale a few years ago and run RX9 Standard today. Both the spectral and voice de-noise functions work with noise prints or adaptively. I like to use the adaptive settings for spectral de-noise and noise prints for voice de-noise.
  15. The Cakewalk Plug-in Manager does have a rename button on its preset management UI
  16. The VST2/3 drop down to the right of "C" reads and writes standard VST2/3 presets and banks from disk. To name or rename a preset works the same in the CbB preset mananger: type the name in "A" click the save button "C" Rename has the extra steps of reloading the old preset and deleting it with button "D."
  17. I can't recall a time clicking "C" in the image below ever opened a Windows save file dialog. The preset save function writes to the registry.
  18. No, the built-in plug-in management has not changed in years. The last major change was adding VST3 support in X3.
  19. Channels tools relies on the CbB preset manager in the VST standard header. It is documented here http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Mixing.28.html CbB preset manager stores plug-in presets in the registry. In addition to managing presets through the VST standard header, the Cakewalk plug-in manager has a manage button next to the import and export buttons.
  20. A multiband EQ can work as a de-esser. Sonitus Mutliband is bundled with CbB.
  21. I am sure you recall, the Sonitus EQ has presets for 50 and 60 cycle hum removal. Nice for illustration purposes. iZotope RX is a good way to go. iZotope frequently puts their products on sale and the entry level RX Elements offers a good suite of tools to clean up audio. In fact, RX Elements is on sale now at the iZotope site and resellers like Plugin Boutique https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/3-Studio-Tools/51-Audio-Restora edit: even Sweetwater has gotten into the price wars. They have RX10 Elements for <$25 https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/RXElements--izotope-rx-elements-audio-repair-plug-in-suite
  22. Consider skipping markers in the first place. The copy/ paste special dialogs have options for markers.
  23. Clip automation data is stored with other information about the clip in the project not in the clip.
  24. Lanes work at the track/bus level. Clip automation does not make use of lanes.
