Great playing. Very smooth. What about a vocal? I could well imagine a smooth female vocalist on this track.

I have the same message. Says the link is not secure. Do you have anywhere else to post the track?
  3. Nice mellow track - the vibe is 70s, though I hear a little bit of Beatles around the 1:30 mark. When do the lyrics come in?
  4. Great fun track. You can hear the enjoyment in the music. Love the guitars. Only crit would be that you bring in the lyric 'Jezebel' too early. I kind of feel that should be in the pay-off line, not the second line. Apart from that. Great. I know you may not take this as a compliment, but your vocal tone reminds me a little of Daniel Johnston (who is one of my favourite artists).
  5. Gorgeous production. Absolutely top-notch. I especially like the U2 style guitar. Do you send your tracks out to radio? I think this would def be something that would get played on radio. Wow! directly after your track on YouTube I got The Handsome Family, Singing Bones, and your track stood its own against it. That's some fine music.
  6. Thanks @AndyB01 I was thinking of getting the Focusrite, but I've read quite a few reviews that complain of random disconnecting of the unit or changing sample rates. If it was only one person writing this I wouldn't have thought twice, but I've seen quite a few of these comments. I'm guessing you've never had a problem with that, right? These comments are for the Gen 3.
  7. Has anyone ever used Audient interfaces? They seem to get rave reviews from users and are geared towards guitarists. Audient EVO 4 Scheda audio USB, Audio Interface per la produzione di musica (2 in / 2 out) USB audio-interfaccia, Alimentazione phantom 48 Volt, 2 preamplificatori microfonici https://amzn.eu/d/0Wc58Rx Or Universal Audio Volt? This seems to be getting great reviews as an alternative to Focusrite. Universal Audio VOLT 2 - USB audio interface https://amzn.eu/d/dJdFx0W
  8. That's a really good offer because a while ago PB gave 20% off with a token.
  9. @Glenn Stanton How are the Steinberg Asio drivers? One of my beefs with the Behringer is that it didn't come with dedicated Asio drivers and I had to hunt down a driver via a YouTuber..
  10. Uninspiring preamps and not so great headphone volume. It's not awful, but I'm wondering if there's something with a bit more warmth.
  11. Hi guys, I know this is a big ask but I was wondering if there are any singer songwriters on the board using mainly acoustic guitar (mic or DI) who would recommend a budget Audio interface. I currently use a Behringer U-phoria but have been thinking up upgrading for a while. Any recommendations under 200? I see that Native Instruments Komplete is currently on offer but I'm not sure whether it's right for an acoustic sound. I work on a Dell laptop if that helps Thanks for any help.
  12. Hi guys, It's been nearly a year since I've posted anything here. Life has been a real bitch this year, from a disabled dog to losing members of the family, it's been a real inspiration killer, so I found myself retreating into my memories (escaping the shitshow of the real world out there). This song is the result. It's an intimate piece. Like a voice in your head. I'm still unsure about releasing it or not. I'd be interested to hear what people think.
  13. I said 'great' song By the way, if Orb Composer write songs the way they write blurb....God help us! "Orb Orchestra is the most technological tool to assist professional composers experiment with new musical ideas and compose in a most efficient way. "
  14. Don't confuse 'polished' with 'quality'. You can polish a turd all you like. It will still be a turd. There aren't plugins that will write you a great song.....yet!
  15. When I bought BFD 1 back in the 2000s, it was by far the best program out there doing what it did (making very realistic sounding studio drums). The interface was super easy to use and infinitely tweakable. I stuck with that program right up until Windows 10 or 11 stopped playing nicely with it, so I got BFD3 for 50 bucks along with 3 or 4 kits about a year ago. I would echo what people have said here. The new interface is not so user friendly now, but if you like tweaking your sound, it gives you tons of options. The authentication issue seems to have been resolved, and there have even been some updates to BFD3 since the InMusic acquisition. How is the sound? This is really subjective. Do you like your drums to sound ready to drop into a mix straight out the box? If so, you'll prefer XLN or some other manufacturer. If you want a 'natural' sounding drum set that you can tweak, mold or bend to your will, BFD3 may be for you. I personally make 'wonky' acoustic songs, and I want a drum sound more like Elliott Smith (not perfect) - BFD can do that (in conjunction with some other programs). The drums can be made to sound 'human', which is preferable to me. But, as I said, it really depends on what you need it for.
  16. Have you tried this? The blurb says that RunAsDate may not work when a program gets its date and time from an external Server. If I'm not wrong, CbB connects to the Bandlab server at startup, right?
  17. Keep reading....too much into this....
  18. This is like saying "I have Windows XP, and It doesn't need authorization". You're not doing yourself any favours by restricting yourself to a software that was released in 2008. You're missing out on sooooo many improvements. Too many to mention.
  19. Can you be a bit clearer? Do you want a vst in the FX bus or something that can resample the sample? To be honest, it would be simpler just to repan it yourself.
  20. Thanks for the sweaty rant. I think most musicians get what you're saying, but I'm gonna flip this around. Let's say I have a budget of 1,000 bucks. To promote my music. How do I go about spending it? Random influencers on TikTok? Facebook marketing? A medium sized poster on one subway wall? The reality is that if you are doing it yourself, no matter how much money you throw at marketing or advertising, your not going to get that money back in sales if you don't know where to put it. And that's the crux of the problem. Musicians are 'artsy' people who just want to make something. You can find infinite courses on how to 'make' the stuff, mix it, engineer it etc.. but I'm yet to see a really effective course that explains how to market that stuff with guaranteed return. Why? Because if you're not connected, if you don't know the right people (or unless you are super super lucky), it just isn't gonna happen.
  21. Well, that's annoying. I have Acoustica Standard 7, but that doesn't give me the upgrade for free. Never mind. btw: Remix exists within Acoustics Standard under the Tools tab. It is integrated not stand alone. I'd be interested to know if there is any difference between this version and the stand alone version.
  22. @kitekrazy it's fantastic that you've put this on-line for free. You never know, you might get some work out of this Perhaps you should open a tip jar. I'm sure some good folk would pass on the support. I remember coming across a similar university project from Korea that sampled a ton of really obscure instruments (well, obscure for me), and I still use them regularly in my mixes as they add a bit of uniqueness to the mix. Completely free libraries sampled to perfection. I hope your Rhodes ends up being used in thousands of tracks so you can say, "hey, that's my baby!" BTW: I just downloaded via google drive without problems. Nice!
  23. Thanks, but this is a comparison between the different version of RX10, not RX7-10, which is what I intended. Sorry if that was not clear from my post.
  24. Is it different from other versions of Rx beyond the obvious new interface look?
