  1. Thank you all for your responses. Here's an update: Cakewalk is talking to Reason fine -- I can create a new project file, insert Reason as a Rewire device, and it works fine. So it's just one project where Reason is grayed out. What I'm doing as a workaround is flying the Midi data into a new project file, recording the audio, and flying the individual audio tracks back to original project file. But it is frustrating not having everything working together, and not knowing what caused the error.
  2. Hi there, Help! I'm recording a multitrack that has several Propellerhead Reason tracks. For some reason, last night Cakewalk started graying out Reason when I go to Insert/Rewire Device/Uncategorized/Reason. Does anyone know how to resolve this? Thanks, Ed
  3. Oh great, thanks! I had the Korg Software Pass on my old computer, but completely forgot to install it on the new one.
  4. Is Version 2.3.3 downloaded under the file name "M1_2_2_1?" Because that's the only version that I can see on Korg's Website.
  5. I'm currently having the issue of having the M1 crash Cakewalk and make a recovery file, plus a new issue where the M1 is losing its presets, or opening them a preset or two off. Very frustrating when it's one of your favorite soft syths!
  6. Hi all, Thanks for your suggestions, but it turned out to be a USB cable issue, and once I switched to a new cable, the MADI inputs are now visible on the Fireface TotalMix FX GUI, and in Cakewalk as well. Regards, Ed
  7. Hi there, (I posted this to support, but I thought a member might be able to help me as well.) When I set up my new computer late last month, I installed my RME Fireface UFX+ audio interface via USB 2.0, which gave me a limited number of tracks. I recently switched it over to USB 3.2. My Fireface GUI can now see the tracks that are coming in via my RME Octamic XTC MADI interface, and I can hear them as well, but these tracks aren't visible within Cakewalk. (They were previously, when I was connecting the audio interface via Thunderbolt on my previous computer) Is there a way to get Cakewalk to search the audio interface options again without having reinstall Cakewalk from scratch, much like it does a VST scan, or some other approach to resolve this? Thanks, Ed
  8. Hi all, I recently installed a new PC, my first since 2016, and the first one that started from scratch with the Bandlab version of Cakewalk instead of Sonar. One of my favorite plugins is Nomad's BT Stereo Imager, which I just noticed when I opened an old project, is missing. I think I have nearly every iteration of Sonar going back 20+years. Could someone tell me the easiest path to adding either all the Nomad Factory plugins that came with Sonar, or just the Stereo Imager? Thanks, Ed
  9. Hi All, Hopefully I can explain this question in a way that makes sense. In the old Cakewalk Sonar, I could use just about any tool in the HUD, click on the timeline, and advance the Now Time Marker, which made comping very quick and intuitive. With Cakewalk Bandlab, unless I'm in the Smart or the Move tool, that feature no longer works, so I have to move the cursor up to the top, and move the Now Time Marker, and then return to the track I'm editing. Is there a way to enable using any tool in the HUD to advance the Now Time Marker once again? Thanks, Ed
  10. Thanks for listening. I agree with all of your comments, but especially the drums. I love the flexibility of Superior Drummer 3, but it seems like it takes quite a bit of work to give them some "oomph."
  11. Nevermind -- I just saw the thread that mentioned that the updater was temporarily disabled earlier today. Now that it's back, I'm up to 2020.05.
  12. This was a tune I wrote and recorded in late November and early December (on Sonar Platinum), and mixed down last weekend, built around a bunch of guitars: Electric on left channel is a 1983 Fender ’57 Strat reissue. Electric on right channel is the 2000 Les Paul R9 in my avatar. Acoustic on left channel is a 2006 Gibson Everly Brothers. Acoustic on right channel is a 2019 Taylor GS Mini in high-strung Nashville tuning. Bass is a 1983 Fender P-Bass. Lead Guitar is a 1983 Gibson Les Paul Custom. Way in the background is a synth pad played on a Roland-Ready Strat into the Roland VG-88 guitar modeling rig. All of electrics were run through the Eventide H9000 Crush Station fuzz effect into the Strymon Iridium amp and cab modeling pedal. Vocals were recorded through a Neumann U67 reissue mic, into a Chandler Ltd. Redd.47 preamp, into an Universal 1176 reissue FET compressor into a Warm Audio WA-2A tube compressor. Drums are Superior Drummer 3; and I overdubbed an assortment of hand percussion (cowbell, tambourine, and triangle) into a Shure KSM-313 ribbon mic into a Cloudlifter pre-amp. Incidentally, how do I embed a playable SoundCloud clip?
  13. Hi there, I only switched from Platinum to the Bandlab version of Cakewalk late last month, so I'm still getting up to speed with all the new features. When I opened up the program tonight, I got the announcement that version 2020.05 is available, but when I clicked on the Bandlab Assistant, it's showing my version of Cakewalk as being up to date, even though it's showing as 2020.04 when I clicked on the About Cakewalk button. So how do I download the update? Thanks, Ed
