I use a little trick to close... 

- I save my session

- I press the "E" in the keyboard (bypassing all the plugins) 

- If cakewalk ask to save don't save (to not save the bypass setting. 

- Close the session. 

Since I do this I not experimenting the software hang when close... (sorry for my poor English). 

I am experimenting that my kontakt with the CinePiano library crash when i stop recording. Make a huge sound and crash my audio... I have to change buffer to make the system resume. In othet DAW i don't have this problem. Any clues or a manner to resolve this?

I have the Cinestrings Kontakt Library and i have to work with the end and start notes... Make a strange behavior too.. 

I just open a session, make and save a template, import that template in a other or new session and are the same scrambled results. 

Same settings, same devices.

I make a Track Templates with a drum vst pluggin (Addictive Drums 2) with his multiple outputs, plugins, buses and busess plugins. When a import to another session, the inputs of the differents vst outputs plugins are scrambled... (for example the kick has the snare input, etc)... 

The software have this issue with the inputs vst when you open an older project, not only in tracks templates imports, with other vst in the project too (I put another post of this issue).. 

I wish to read what cakewalk people and costumers think about this issues, or a fix solutions.. (Sorry with my little english)

Thank you... I readed this.. With the hope of a reboot or a restart solve my problem, but was not the solution.. 

I have dealing with this issue... When open somes session, the instruments vst tracks are scrambled. For example, the omnisphere track are playing the kontakt vst... When i "split the instruments" i see the inputs of the audio vst track patched with other plugin... Is happening for years but now more frequently... Sorry for my little English.. 

Hello... I was working in a song today.. I "bounce to track" the final mix, and try to export this file and track, and get this message, "Catastropic Failure".. I cannot export the file.. Reboot may computer, open the session and again, the same error... I press the spacebar and the session cannot play.. I try to export other track and cannot export. I open other session and can export without errors... Somebody have experience in this issue? 

Hi everyone.. The only reason a share this is because the bugs are real and think that bandlab people have to see this. I spend too much time too dealing with a few bugs that delays me in my jobs and dateline.. Forgive me if I did not do it in the best way. I am trying to delete this "Topic" but i don't how.... Well, I don't want to make things worse, but I have a few issues with this video being posted here as well. First, let me just say I watched/ listened to the entire video--start to finish, and Scott has some reasonable complaints about issues he's having with Cakewalk. Anyone that's used the software for a decent length of time I'm sure can identify with the frustration--I know I can.

Having said that, my first issue is posting what we have to call a 'rant' about a product on that product's forum, and to say they are switching over to Reaper, etc. is just bad form.  This is a forum of users that have and like Cakewalk and some like myself have used it successfully for many, many years. Scott did say he would finish some tutorial videos because that's fair, but what are you expecting to get out of posting this video here? To say,  just telling people you're not going to finish a particular video series wouldn't be completely transparent. It's obvious you wanted to vent your frustrations, primarily.

Finally, and I hope you don't take this the wrong way--but I can only hope, when someone starts a video rant saying we know something's up because they have the video turned on and are having a beer--and sounds like that wasn't their first one (*dude, people couldn't even understand you say your name),  some of the credibility of your message is lost--on me, IMHO.

My suggestion is to remove this OP. Jot down your issues with the bugs, and report them to the engineers so they can fix them for you--and for everyone. Yes, the keyboard functions stopped responding sometimes--big bug IMO. That just started, and I and a number of people have already complained about it. You have Reaper and a half a dozen of other DAW's you can use to finish your project. Do the productive thing and just report the CW issues. 

(If anyone reads my comments and thinks I'm flaming or have any malice at all for Scott, then you didn't understand my intent or you didn't really read my post.)

Hi Mr... First of all,, I am a sucesfully cakewalk user since 1998, 1999 since Cakewalk 9 Pro. Hello.. 

If each track is an "Instrument Track" select one by one and select the "track" tab and select "Split Intrument Track". Now the Instrument track is splited in a midi track and an audio track with the kontakt player. Check and see the output of the midi track and the input of the audio track... The output of the midi track have to be with the corresponding kontakt player and the input of the audio track the same way.. 

Thanks for you response.... Studio One and Pro Tools make it. I thing that cakewalk can do it too. If you have a track in - 9.6 and adjust the fader at - 6.9 and don't like, press undo, and will be - 9.6. That will be fantastic. 

I use the Mix Recall too. 

In Cakewalk and Sonar its Imposible to make a undo in a console or fader action.... Same as vst intruments parameters changes... In the console is necessary in the Mix work.. And Vst will be fantastic.. 

I know that are many ways to change the velocity (cakewalk user since cakewalk 9 in the 1999). The Midi FX if can be in the "Key Bindings" is a fantastic idea. For example, make a change of - 30 of velocity more fast than drag in to many windows to get de midi fx velocity window... 

To change midi velocities you have to search in the Midi FX and search "Velocity". In the "key bindings" is impossible to make a shortcut to make that function quickly... 

I don't see the "merge" option... Wher it is?

How you can Reinstall the previous version? 

You have to know the ripple edit purpose.. Don't make sense have to move all markers after use the ripple edit.... And yes, i use the slide function...

2 Things... :

1- The Markers not move in the Ripple Edit (That can be a real improve) 

2- The "Midi Loops" are a totally mess with this function.. 

Hi, In Pro Tools and Studio One now is possible that function.. But in Sonar and Cakewalk Bandlab is not. Is necessary when work with many songs of the same artist for example...
