How DARE you use logic and critical thinking! -
Rescan your VST folders.

That's exactly the problem. Why in God's Name are you using that instead of Focusrite's own ASIO driver?

I can personally guarantee that it will work all the way up until it doesn't anymore. -

It really pisses me off that Big Tech thinks they are so much smarter than we are. I just wasted my whole day helping sort s**t out for my panicking wife because Google won't quit f***ing around with her g-d- photos.! I should send them an invoice. -
Unfortunately, you have now discovered why you should save immediately after any substantive change you make and/ or after any 3-5 minor ones. I really hope you hadn't been working for hours without saving. If you have any audio, you might be able to salvage something by going into the project audio folder and dragging the files into a new project.

Preventing vocal track from picking up backing track
Byron Dickens replied to Muzician's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I think Home Studio 2 will; people even run CW pro audio 9 on it. You are still better off with a real audio interface. Still, fighting with this Rube Goldberg setup is only asking for trouble. -

My head hurts.... Here's hoping you get the other computer fixed soon. Can you use the interface with this one for the time being? -
Or maybe find out what you're getting into before jumping off the cliff.... Unfortunately, it is often hard to find that out until you go over unless you get advice from someone who has been there before. I get that. So its not like I don't have sympathy, but reality is reality. Like was pointed out earlier, there's just no way around a real ASIO driver once you start recording audio.

IF CbB was as bad as you think, the forums would be on fire....

^^^^^ This. If you can't manage to scrimp and save to put +/- $100 together, you might want to rethink your priorities.

Getting a real audio interface will solve this and 99% of all the other audio problems you are going to run into. -
It sounds like you have one seriously screwed up system....

Import Musescore files into Cakewalk... good or no?
Byron Dickens replied to riecke's topic in Production Techniques
That is the service that lets you download sheet music of widely varying quality produced and uploaded by other users. As Glenn pointed out, the software is free.
