So i can't use audio clips in step sequencer? Or am I missing something?

Now I can't hear the clip. I can access the audio clip in the step sequencer but can't hear it anymore.

But can i get an audio clip into the step sequencer. Like a hihat (from the internet) to the step sequencer and if i can. How? Thanks

So i am trying to use step sequencer but its always greyed out. Couple of times I have been able to use it but it gives me this error and mutes the instrument. Fix?
