The way your past purchases go towards a discount on the bundles is awesome.

There are exceptions unfortunately. I couldn’t figure out why my bundle prices were not dropping in price so opened a tix with Melda.  This is what they had to say which i don’t fully understand the logic. I own both MCreativeFXBundle and MEssentialsFXBundle so was trying to upgrade to MMixingFXBundle which would have giving me almost everything I wanted  but bundle price never changed even though I already owned the bulk of plugins included in that bundle. Here is what Melda said:

”Bundle prices are reflected in the upgrade price only to MTotalFXBundle and MCompleteBundle.

So MCreativeFXBundle nor MEssentialsFXBundle do not reflect the MMixingFXBundle upgrade price in general.”

in other words, Melda doesn’t let you complete a second bundle at discount with plugins from another bundle unless you go to top tier two bundles which were a lot more expensive and had a lot of stuff I wasn’t interested in.

  2. I’m using Senheiser HD 650 default profile.  It was not intuitive...took a few clicks. I was also able to load my reference 4 custom monitor profiles and can now switch between them. If I recall I had to repeat sequence for plug-in and separately systemwide.  When I’m by my computer later will try to recreate steps.  I’m on MAC by the way.

  3. At least this year I won’t have to pick between buying plugins or going on the lam, changing my name, and not paying taxes again hehe

disclaimer: it’s a joke, please don’t report to irs

  4. My theory is Larry is at Grammy awards tonight. He is ghost writer for some of the biggest bands and needs next three weeks to recover from all the partying.  He posts deals to give back to the little people.  One can dream :)

So hasn’t been a full day and I’m bored.  When is Larry coming back? Hehe

  5. On my Mac, both systemwide and plug-in have always been very stable.  With that said, $119 is a bit steep.  The ability to emulate other speakers used to be available before until they suddenly removed it.  I don’t quite get the rebranding and new name.  Maybe need to watch some of the event videos to better understand.

  6. Thanks.   Couple more details:

This will be a paid upgrade. Upgrade for Headphones is $49 / €49, for Speakers & Headphones $119 / €119. For information about other upgrade paths and prices visit sonarworks.com.

Users who have purchased Reference 4 products via online or distribution channels & first ACTIVATED their licence starting from the 1st of February, 2021 will be provided a grace period in which they will be able to upgrade their product to SoundID Reference free of charge via our web user accounts.

Buyers of Reference 4 Headphone edition will be upgraded to SoundID Reference for Headphones.

Buyers of Reference 4 Studio edition will be upgraded to SoundID Reference for Speakers and Headphones.

The free upgrade offer will terminate 2 months after the launch of SoundID Reference (9th of May, 2021).

My (uninformed) guess is $249 regular price, $129 intro price, $99 loyalty/upgrade price

Agree with one exception. DSM V2 to V3 upgrade was $49.  Assuming they haven’t changed their model, I would expect this to be upgrade cost for existing v2 perpetual license owners.

unless they follow IK style pricing which in that scenario will be $499 for existing owners and $99 for anyone who has never heard of black box.  Let’s get this thread locked too haha

Sounds very authentic. But what's the point of this? What happened to the joy of expressing yourself in an improvisational frenzy?

Who has time to improvise if all I do is chase deals, watch reviews/tutorials, install, upgrade, and start cycle over :)

It seems a lot like Syntronik. Plus there's an additional RetroMod deal at Tracktion:

You can use the following code at checkout to get 50% off any other RetroMod plug-in:

    FOCUSMOD

The RetroMod Lead looks interesting, is sampled from the Nord Lead series. So with 50% off from retail @ $79, that one would be about $40.

Edit: You apparently have to use that "FOCUSMOD" code  at initial checkout with the Focusrite redemption. You can't go back later and apply the code for another RetroMod purchase.

Weird. I redeemed yesterday but today was able to apply the coupon.

That joke won’t get old...and neither is following that up with Van Damme waiting for his train on the rails since benches were getting painted :
