The NEW Cakewalk Sonar (Early Access Version) Video from Creative Sauce
David A Ludwig replied to cclarry's topic in Deals
Then where's the press release announcing the new SONAR? What's the price? Can it be purchased? Does access require a bandlab subscription? The way they're handling this is shabby at best. -
So I'm playing with the new Sonar
David A Ludwig replied to Terry Kelley's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I signed up for the 3 day trial. After that I have to buy a membership in order to use the beta and be able to save? Will I need to be a member at $150+ to buy the release product? -
The groundhog smelled spring but not a lick of these folks. Loose lips sink ships, but after missing the holiday season and NAMM from a June announce, and dropping a prompt to go online and see that there's nothing to see about the new SONAR, I feel they should speak now or risk losing me and others to other DAWs where there is a healthy exchange between users and devs. Kinda like it used to be here...

+1, Sidney. 8 months of silence and now a popup. Not a good look.

I was getting glitches, pops, clicks, dropouts... Ran across a utube vid... Turns out it was Windows Defender. On the virus page, way at the bottom, is a tab called Exclusions. I excluded my J: drive, where most of my samples are, and cakewalk and cubase project folders and the folders where I write my exports. Not one glitch in an entire day! Maybe you guys already had this one nailed down, but it was news to me and a big deal...

Cakewalk Sonar Beta sign-ups
David A Ludwig replied to Quinellipe Zorn's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
No, and yes. Cubase 13 is more stable than 12, and they cleaned up the interface and allow much color customization. I'm hoping SONAR will look as fresh. btw, Steinberg was at NAMM... -

I wonder if I would I feel better if Noel came by and said "real soon now" (lol). -
Cakewalk Sonar Beta sign-ups

I've been with cakewalk since msdos. No response from the beta, no word from anyone else. From a broader perspective, a company announces a new product in June, and doesn't have it out for the holidays, and still has released no other info since June... Says to me they've hit a snag and they're hiding ... Not a good look. I sadly updated my cubase, I'll relearn that while I wait zenly for SONAR. -
Crucial, recommended by B&H

Thanks, just needed some reassurance. I guess, after six months, it would be nice to hear from the bakers...
-
Yes, I've got it, as all the DAWs are on sale. Am I being foolish not to jump as I wait hopefully for SONAR?
-
Got it, sounds mighty good.

I had to locate then repair. All good now.
-
How do they sound, compared to SD3, SSD5, AD2, etc?

Now available – the brand-new SOUND FORGE Pro 17!

I'm on 16. 99 would be compelling, but no more... -
Waves Perpetual, Ever Changing, but always the same Sale! (CLA Plugins)

Sadly, I've moved on from wup, better plugs out there w/o wup... -
Roger that!

I'll miss him. Saw him at fillmore east years ago with rod stewart as his front man. Still remember "ain't superstitious". Legendary.

This one crashes CbB. On some projects. I can choose a preset, but the minute I touch a control, boom, back to the desktop.

Awesome! Thanks and keep on keepin' on!
