  1. If you have EZ Drummer 2 still installed, insert it into the project and then replace it with EZ Drummer 3. It works for me. Right click on the instrument icon and then select replace synth (or replace synth on this track or all tracks.)

  2. I found a work around for the crashing EZ Drummer 3. If you have EZ Drummer 2, add it and then replace it with EZ Drummer 3. For me it works every time.

    So with some playing I determined you can start with 2 and swap to 3 and it works.

    In addition, I noticed that if someone can add EZ Drummer 3 where it doesn't crash for them and then sends me that file, that file will load and not crash on my system.

  3. You're going to be told to post that on the Melodyne site. Once the developers see the issue isn't CW, they will push you in that direction. It's possible Melodyne might contact CW if they think the issue is in CW.

    I just updated to Melodyne 5.2 and EZD3 and Melodyne is fine and EZD3 won't work. I'm on Windows 10 21H2 and an i7 processor.

    I am sure there is more than one bug on the to-do list for EZD3 and probably more than one bug that crashes the plug-in.

    Chances are there are more bugs yet to be reported.

    The error is the standard memory violation: c0000005. Seen one ...

    Changing the Exception Severity just makes Cakewalk blow it off but TT EZD3 still crashed with the violation. The fault is in EZdrummer 3.vst3.

    Side note: It works on my friends W8.1 machine running 2021.12. Go figure. :) I did a rollback to that version and it still crashed.

    I helped a guy named Lance port this to the HP 2000 in the 70's and just discovered I still have the source code.

    We ran it on an HP3000 ported to MPE. I wanted to port it to PC Fortan 77 but it used the EXEC function and I didn't know how to deal with it at the time. I too have the original source code. I also played the 550 version which was one of the few that was actually a nice extension.

    Until you've left Spelunkers Today at Witt's End, you've never played an adventure game. I wouldn't let my kids play even Sierra games until they finished Adventure 350 (Colossal Cave.) Did that make me a bad dad? You betcha!
