Not posted yet on the AAS website. I'll wait.

Does it do anything for the bloody awful update installation times? The Arturia Software Center has the same problem with installation times. Sheesh.

If anyone is interested, I saved all of those steps to a Word .docx file and attached it for your convenience. How to fix long load time for Kontakt.docx

I'm on the latest version of Win11 Pro. Both the MS GS MIDI Synth and all four channels of Virtual MIDISynth show up in Gig Performer, Reaper and Band in a Box. Studio One Pro doesn't seem to have a MIDI player option, so neither show up there. But, VirtualMIDISynth runs great under Win11.

Same here. 50 € max for me.

There are 3 versions available: 1) VST/VST3, 2) full Kontakt 5, and 3) Decent Sampler. If you aren't aware of the free Decent Sampler, you should be. Check it out at: Decent Sampler (free)

This is a free plugin if you select $0, which I did. After giving my email address (presumably for marketing offers for their paid libraries (not mentioned, but should have been)), I was taken directly to the download page. No interaction with Gumroad required. People making a non-zero donation likely will have to deal with Gumroad. In situations like this, I prefer to test the instrument or library first. If I like it and find it useful in my work, I go back and make a donation. I think of it as the "shareware" approach.

1967. 4 piece H.S. cover band. $125/gig. $25 to each of the 4 members, and $25 to common gear like mics and stands and cables and PA. I bought a used late '64 black face Fender Bassman, a used '63 Fender Jazz and a used Farfisa Mini with my gig money, gas station and Burger Chef jobs. The wonderful life of a wanna be musician. That $25 wouldn't buy doodly squat now. Now, it's all about EXPOSURE! -
SPlat. The sound heard 'round the world. SPlat went splat all of about 6 months after I bought a lifetime license. I forgot to read the fine print: "Lifetime of a mayfly*." * Mayfly lifespan: 24 hours, the shortest of any insect in the world.

I pay 69 € per year. I chose to do that instead of buying permanent licenses, because: 1) they're expensive, 2) updates to new major versions are NOT included and 3) I use the included Android versions occasionally.

Please pay us to have the opportunity to give us the password you use all the time. We promise to use it only to drain your bank account. Merci d'avance, sucker!

Big fan of Spooky Tooth! RIP, Gary. -
Jimmy Buffett concerts were events. I've attended hundreds of concerts, but Jimmy's vibe was different from the rest. We had a special way of starting a Buffett concert off. We'd start a week or two before the show, driving around the neighborhood, looking for an old sofa out on the curb. We'd put it in the bed of my friend's truck, along with a couple of coolers and a baggie or three, and get to the show way early. Stuck a Buffett tape in the player and started the party. When the concert was over, we'd push the old couch out into the parking lot and leave it there. 🤣 I visited the Margaritaville grill in St. Bart's once, the one where he liked to drop in from time to time and grill burgers for customers, but didn't see him. That would have been fun.

It does sound like the problem is with your ISP. Your broadband connection may be good, but there may be constraints imposed by your specific account. -
Same here. And he's still working on it! v2.4.3 is the last stable release, and it's been around for awhile. But...you can d/l the current beta v2.5.4, released a little over a month ago. Here's a page the describes the new features in beta v2.5.3. It includes an interesting discussion of the problems he's had/having with the AAX Pro Stools version. I've only got 3: 2x2TB T7 a 1x2TB X5 Thunderbolt 3 SSD for my sample drive. 👍 EDIT: Downloading. Good thing I speak German (I wish my French was as good), since the User Manual is in German. EDIT 2: I just noticed that there's also an English User Manual link at the bottom of the page. One more nice detail from the dev! -
I have that...and forgot all about it.

Hi Max. I'm just an amateur home studio enthusiast, not a gigging musician. I bought a license to play with. I had hoped to be able to route audio from Gig Performer to Studio One, but forgot one thing. On Windows, I would need a multiclient ASIO driver for that, and the driver for my PreSonus 1810c is single client. So, that failed. I was hoping to eliminate the Voicemeeter "middleware". Oh, well. And another odd thing. I have a 4K display on my laptop, scaled to 200%. The plugin UI in Gig Performer scales, but in Studio One, it doesn't, making it impossible to see and work with. Sigh. So, for me personally, it's still in the toy/test phase. Gig Performer users on Macs are having good success with it in live situations. I know that multiple instances of it can be used within a single VST host, but I haven't figured out a test case for that yet.

The current v1.12 installers told me that I had a version of v1.12 installed already. I did, but the file dates on this version are newer, and the file sizes are different. I'm guessing that the couple of minor fixes in the current update didn't get their own version number. So, even if you have v1.12 installed, get the new installers. Blue Cat Connector has been great for sending audio and MIDI between multiple instances of Gig Performer, and between Gig Performer and Reaper, with no noticeable latency. Blue Cat Connector A couple of examples. I suspect that many of you will recognize the voice in the first video. This includes an example of sending audio from Cubase to Cakewalk on the same computer.
