  1. I opened Musio and then Connect and updated the catalog and there they were.
  2. CPU is not something I usually monitor as I seldom have problems. CPU hits shows as around 6% in the according to UVI Workstation's display, but in windows task manager +/- 0.5% I suspect the CPU meter in Workstation refers to one core. in contrast GForce's SEM is +/- 0.3% and Arturia's Pigments from 1.5 to 2.0% CPU hit in Falcon is a little higher but remains below 1% in task manager All the samples are in a monolithic *.UFS file. While some have recognisable names like "Harpischord" they are not realistic but do provide useful sound sources. In factory presets they are often layered with the conventional oscillator. EDIT - I should add these figures refer to the standalone versions.
  3. Installed. (I have the Sonic Pass sub) . Its an interesting architecture with two oscillators with a conventional choice of waveforms and a sample layer with a good choice of samples. The Oscillators and the sample have separate filters both HP and LP with individual resonance. Its very programable and way beyond rompler territory and I was very quickly creating sounds far from the initial patch. First impressions are its probably one of the most versatile of UVI synth libraries.
  4. Ha - its here https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/topic/69566-⚡get-ready-apd-enchanted-black-friday-18-epic-deals/ I knew Larry must have been there before me!
  5. I am pretty sure this must have been posted here before by someone, but I could not find it. Anyway the deal expires tomorrow. Virtuoso Ensembles by Kirk Hunter Studios
  6. Interesting, ARA should help the currently clunky workflow.
  7. What I figured, a time saver, as I could get it for $33 including the dreaded VAT from Best Service I decided to buy it. I will hold fire on expansions for the moment. I am also hoping for occasional "happy accidents" applying random patches to sounds to see what transpires.
  8. I was in two minds on this one but as i could get it by upgrading to Synthstack 4 for just over $15 I dived in. I like it, the additional features make it so much more that a straight Pro Soloist emulation, which, lets face it would be a bit basic these days.
  9. So the deals are cumulative. Any opinions on EZMix. I am thinking about EZMix and a couple of expansions, but then I can probably achieve similar results with the FX I have already.
  10. I have had it for ages but rarely use it. After this thread I started it up again in and almost instantly I had a bassline that has grown into a promising song part. Funny the way things go sometimes.
  11. I just had a play with Keyboard in Blue. Its a bit of a one trick pony compared to a lot of Kontakt EPs, but because the amp has be sampled rather simulated which makes a very natural, nice tone. Its very responsive with good dynamics. I probably would not have purchased it but I am very happy to have it in the Musio subscription. If there is a Kontakt version it may be more versatile, I can't say.
  12. Good timing. I am currently trimming down my download archive and moving it to an external disk, This will free up an internal HDD which I will use for my less used big collections like BFD3 and expansions, Sampletank and Syntronic and freeing up space on my SSD.
  13. I don't care for the new libraries tab much and have set the default view back to the way it was before the update. At least 50% of the libraries I use are third party ones that do not appear in the libraries and get loaded from the files view anyway.
  14. That must have been when I bought it. I checked to see if I already had it, and there it was in its unused glory. It actually sounds pretty good.
  15. I can't say I am not tempted but the upgrade discount from my VB3 1 will be all but wiped out by VAT and IK's Hammond B3-X has become my goto and I am pretty happy with it. So buying it would be for the ring mod and the "vocoder" function plus some differences in tone. Jury's out!
  16. This is the great strength of CC (and UVI's sub.) I have found I use the things I would have bought far less than ones I would have dismissed.
  17. The pro version has been one of my most useful purchases for ages. I have the Kevin and Natalie voices. While I cannot see the vocals making it to one of my final tracks I have found them very useful when writing and for producing a demo track for the real vocalist.
  18. I wondered if it was imminent with the recent update to Opus and the Fantasty instruments. I am looking forward to getting it installed later.
  19. Indiginus Blue Street Brass is worth a look. https://www.indiginus.com/blue-street-brass
  20. Cheaper for UK customers to buy from JRR than from GForce despite the existing customer discount.
  21. I updated to the latest version. The Keyswitches implementation looks pretty good an certainly increases the utility of the player. Unfortunately I choose the clean install option which is supposed to keep your downloaded libraries. Unfortunately it seemed to forget the library paths. Even after reassigning the path Musio did not see the content. I had to download the libraries again.
  22. I tend to gravitate to the EW Gold pianos these days for "straight" piano sounds. And I have plenty of alternatives in Kontakt, UVI, Arturia, and Musio including some interesting prepared and cinematic variations so this is going to have to offer something special.
  23. It looks like we will be getting Keyswitching for Musio pretty soon which is something I have been waiting for. It looks like they are implementing it in a way that keeps the memory footprint to a minimum as you only load the articulations you need. https://musio.com/featured-video/?_kx=7bYm_UvUC-D5nnkU-7zfm17lQtGjIg5vkt1bZPzTVKjwj04Cq1orJhWdIT11iUCq.TQPahU
