  1. I totally agree with the request to disable docking altogether! It is a totally frustrating thing to have to first invoke a feature (Region FX, etc...), then to use it, undock it! It's totally ridiculous! There should be a 'switch' like nearly every other 'default behavior' should have...), that simply has auto-docking turned on or off. Then, when the concentrating artist brings up a new windo, it appears in the same place where he left that feature before. Again, Region FX is a great example... I create a Region FX for Melodyne, then of course, undock it and scroll it to the actual material, then finally edit the 'region.' Melodyne falls WAY SHORT on the Cakewalk version, by the way! Totally kludgy operations with that, but where else can we get decent pitch adjustment for the price? PLEASE PROVIDE AN OPTION TO ENABLE/DIABLE DOCKING!!! P-L-E-A-S-E! Thank you, (in advance...)!!
  2. Greetings! For years, I've been fighting with one of the new3er features of Sonar/CbB... That is, whenever a new RegionFX is created, the window is automatically docked below the current window (usually the Track View). This is incredibly inconvenient and is a 'show-stopper' as far as workflow is concerned. I don't think I'm alone in requesting a feature to turn off autodocking whenever a RegionFX is created. In addition, two RegionFX windows should be able to be used simultaneously. Sometimes, I need to bounce back and forth between two RegionFX windows on two different tracks and each 'switch' requires closing one RegionFX window, 'opening' the other one, then right-clicking on the window title to 'Undock' the window and resize it and scroll it to make it useful. This part of Sonar/CbB has been a complete 'Train Wreck' as far as I'm concerned. This totally hammers anything close to a 'smooth workflow.' Please see what can be done! Thanks!
  3. Hi, all! I'm a Sonar user since version 5... (In other words, I'm a senior user... LOL!!!) I'm using a multi-channel audio interface, the Yamaha TF3 digital mixing desk for recording; and even though it processes at 48Khz, the sound is amazing! Here's the thing though.... In CW, the Yamaha/Steinberg ASIO driver exposes itself in detail to allow me to select, configure, and use multiple OUTPUT (hardware), [Edit/Preferences/Audio...]. If I place checks in the boxes for more than the 'main' outputs, (let's just say they are '1&2 Out' for descriptive purposes), and include outputs 3&4 and 5&6, every new session defaults to output ports 5&6, or always the LAST numbers in the list. This causes some issues... Whenever I open CW with an existing project, or with a new project, the 'Master' BUS ALWAYS configures itself to be output on the 'last-numbered' hardware ports! Then, when I try to play the project, I realize that I'm not hearing anything, because, (using the example above...), there is nothing actually connected to ports '5&6.' So then, I ust go to the MASTER BUS and configure it to route the audio to (the original) ports of 1&2. The solution as I see it, would be to be able to 'hard' configure the output port of the MASTER BUS to ALWAYS use the 1&2 hardware ports. Thanks for help! Brion
