    Reason 11.2

Nice of them to provide this. I'm also in the camp that got Reason Intro for half-price at Christmas. Europa is a really nice synth worth the discount price on its own, and you can also use any other rack extensions.
  2. Here's a somewhat older video comparing EastWest with Presonus' Orchestra. IIRC Presonus' Orchestra was only ever updated once to fix a few bugs.
  3. The player is still quite a bit of a mess. If you basically freeze your PC, yeah, the Spitfire player does its job. But it breaks in all sorts of weird ways otherwise. For example, I needed to install a database tool at one point (unrelated to Spitfire, my day job is not music related) and Spitfire Player stopped working. After uninstalling the database tool, Spitfire's player STILL failed to run properly. Ultimately I HAD to uninstall the player, scrub the registry clean (yes, just uninstalling didn't work - wrote myself a small script), restart the PC and reinstall the player all over again to get it to recognize its own libraries. Also, it no longer had an issue with my database tool this time around... I feel a bit sorry for anyone who spent $499 on a Spitfire Player library (i.e. Hans Zimmer).
  4. Damn, looks like someone just said: "Let's just cram Cubase, Sonar and Pro Tools in here and call it a day!" As for me, I got enough DAWs I have no idea how to fully use 😂 so it's a skip for now.
  5. After you finish installing Samplitude, an activation dialog appears and takes you to that page.
  6. At least Reason 11 Intro comes with the rack plugin (making Europa & NN-XT usable in any other DAW). And Ableton Intro is still Ableton. Huge community, lots of free (and paid) packs and tutorials. Bitwig 16 track isn't really worth it. It feels like a (late) answer to Ableton Intro (even has the same features) AND in Europe it costs €99 unlike Reason and Ableton Intro, which both cost €79.
  7. Don't forget to try the code "GIFT35" for an additional 35% off. This code works on many Ghosthack libraries, maybe this as well. EDIT: BTW, I'm not affiliated.
  8. Oh, absolutely. IIRC the Full Kontakt Factory Library has string samples from VSL. Yeah, a much older version, but still usable today. About the only thing Kontakt doesn't include is a good/serious choir. Soundiron has plenty of those to choose from, both cheaper Micro versions and more expensive ones.
  9. Didn't find this library here, so I thought why not let you peeps know about it? Only found out about it recently, and it's called The Alpine Project. https://alpineproject.wixsite.com/main/libraries Obviously you need full Kontakt. The quality IS a bit all over the place, some instruments (brass, clarinet, some of the strings) sound half-decent, others sound like PS2-era game samples.
  10. Not a bad freebie at all, for what it is. Also used the 8dio downloader and I had no issues loading it up.
  11. Usually yeah, depends on the bundle though. Some vouchers let you redeem multiple items, but it can only be done from their desktop Music Maker app, not the website.🥴 Those vouchers won't work on the website though.
  12. Yeah their licensing used to be very weird but nowadays their "catooh" website just tells you yo go to producerplanet. All their soundpools seem to have only 2 licensing models nowadays: Noncommercial (half price) or Royalty Free(full price).
  13. There's no cart. There I saved you some headache. Also, the code you get when you buy a version of ACID can be used to redeem special ACID soundpools and doesn't work for ordinary soundpools. Yeah, their store is a freaking mess.
  14. And TFO #12 (called Luminous Choir) is out!
  15. Gotta agree, it sounds about right for the asking price.
  16. FL isn't Reason though. I know a guy who, after moving on to Cubase, would've loved having something like the Reason Rack (instead of using rewire). TBH I also wouldn't want the full FL Studio as a plugin in Studio One.
  17. To be honest, at least for me, 34 euros was worth it for the Europa synth alone. Plus, you get the Dual Arpeggio and Note Echo effects.
  18. Man Delay Lama has aged... On the bright side, looks like he's enjoying the Santa Claus life now.
  19. From the same page: "customers on Windows 8 have two years, until January 12, 2016, to move to Windows 8.1 in order to remain supported." So windows 8 support is actually being officially retired. Now the software I code for at work on still runs on windows 8 (as well as 7) we simply no longer support it and no longer test it and it may well stop running on those versions at some point. My bad on saying Windows 8 (not 8.1) was expiring in 2020 instead of 2016.
  20. Working as a programmer and we're doing the same. Win 7 actually got a support extension because it was popular. Both windows 7 and 8 (not 8.1) support are expiring in early 2020.
  21. Hybrid Tools Eternal Darkness is on sale (unlisted) for $98 https://8dio.com/instrument/hybrid-tools-eternal-darkness-for-kontakt-vst-au-aax/ IIRC that should cover the Century Harps "gift" deal, assuming you're in the market for yet another damn hybrid instrument. I'm not, so can't confirm if spending exactly $98 gets you the bonus.
  22. DrumMic'A library and Embertone Arcana were already mentioned, but there's a few more options: Soniccouture has a bunch of free libraries that come with Kontakt Player S/N. Also, In Session Audio offered Fruit Shake until 27 nov. that ALSO came with Kontakt Player S/N. Finally Remix Hits has Release, a stem-based Kontakt lib (that's kinda useless) & it comes with a Kontakt Player S/N. Frankly I recommend grabbing the Soniccouture ones regardless.
  23. If only the Spitfire Audio app didn't crap its pants every other week it would be pretty okay. Their "sampler" interface is clean and easy to use, but it often just forgets where it installed its s**t and just errors out. Worst part - it's the ONLY "download manager" app that does this on my PC. But the sounds themselves are great (especially for the price of free).
  24. Considering it's normally $48 (got it on sale a while ago for $28), this is a VERY good Kontakt library. Honestly I'm not even mad at this. 😁 @paulo If you click the conductor icon (for your account), it shows a list of owned libraries and you have a Direct Download link right next to each library.
  25. A bunch of sample libraries I'd been eyeing for some months Upgraded to UJAM Phat 2 for $9 Soundiron's "Micro" choirs (Mercury and Olympus) Upgraded "Shreddage" to "Shreddage 3 Legacy" for $40 And finally, a copy of Traktor 3 Pro (just for my own entertainment, not as a DJ - heck, I'm not even a musician) Also, a bunch of freebies. Thanks to Larry for spotting most of these deals, as always.
