  1. P.S. I read the other post you linked to and tried this user's idea: I followed some of the mentioned threads and I subsequently removed all entries in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\Cakewalk\Installers from the registry and now BA is installing the add-ins. I see the Studio Instruments mentioned in the extracting files window, so I guess this will solve my issues. Thanks very, very much for your support. That worked! I have them back now. Thanks Patrick!
  2. Thanks Patrick, you're right. I checked an installation of CWBL on a different DAW and the Studio Instruments DLLs are in the C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins. On the DAW where I can't find them, the DLLS were missing from the Vstplugins folder. As you noted, the Data folders are there and I mistakenly referenced them in the post above. My bad. I tried copying the DLLs from the DAW where they are properly installed/working to the DAW where they are missing (copying them into C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins). Rebooted and rescanned VST plugins, but they still didn't show up in the Insert Instrument dialog. I've tried to use Bandlab Assistant to install them again (Studio Instrument Suite Add-Ons), but they are already selected as of they are installed. I can't figure out how to contact support. I rarely have a need to and the website isn't forthcoming with information how to engage support. Thank again for helping. Marc
  3. Hello, I have used the following Cakewalk Studio Instruments in the past SI-Bass Guitar (Synth Rack) SI-Electric Piano (Synth Rack) SI-String Section (Synth Rack) They are located here: C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Studio Instruments I have that path in the Preferences\File\VST Settings\VST Scan Path, but after scanning, they still don't show up in the Insert Instrument dialog. I'm running Windows 10 64 bit and CW version 2021.04 (Build 144, 64 bit) I imagine it's something simple but I'm stuck. Thanks in advance for any ideas to help me get these instruments back. Cheers! Marc
  4. Thanks Hatstand! That was it, although I don't know why a plugin I paid for and have been using for quite some time would act like a trial plugin and require re-authorization. But that did the trick. Thanks again!
  5. Long-time CW user. New issue for me. I came back to an unfinished project and audio playback (everything in the mix) started dropping out for about a second every 4 bars/measures through the entire song. Playback does not stop. If I export audio, the dropouts are present. These are not random dropouts once they start, so I'm reluctant to consider this a buffer size issue. I have the issue with buffer sizes of 512 and 1024. This issue happens with auto backup software and PC security software turned off. If I open other projects, the issue is present there too...so not specific to this project. The issue is not related to specific places on the timeline. If I start playback from different points in the mix, the project will play, but whenever the first dropout happens, subsequent dropouts are exactly 4 bars (to the beat) later. Volume automation lanes are not the issue. I don't believe it's the sound card (Scarlett 6i6) since other audio sources on my DAW play just fine. Thoughts anyone. Thanks in advance... Cheers Marc
  6. I had this same issue and discovered the factory presets db (file name: factory-presets.db) was missing from this folder: C:\ProgramData\Overloud\BREVERB 2 Cakewalk I found the database file on a secondary machine and copied it to that same folder on the PC having this issue and it fixed my problem. I've attached the factory presets file to this post. factory-presets.db
  7. @chuckebaby: Thanks, I'll give that a try. Thanks for your response. @Matthew Sorrels: Yes, I use Melodyne (including this one project). With Melodyne, I know (and accept) that Audio Exports take longer due to all of the Melodyne Region FX and I'll sometimes Bounce To Clip(s) if it becomes a nuisance. It's just that I've never had a Project Save take this long. Thanks for your response.
  8. Thanks Promidi and sorry for the delayed reply. This project has 31 tracks. I turned off antivirus but it had no positive effect. I have done some testing with other smaller projects and CWBBL is very quick on save. I'll chalk it up to something in the project that's causing the slow save. If I figure out what it was specifically, I'll post that finding here. For now, I'll be patient. I'm almost done with this project. Thanks again. Marc
  9. Hello, I am a former Sonar user that has begun using CWBB. In Sonar, the time to save a project is very fast. In CWBB, it can take up to 10 seconds. Anyone else experiencing slow project save times? I do use some iZotope plugins and have seen posts about Ozone 9 taking a long time to load. Related? Thanks, Marc
