  1. Most plugins show up but most of the "Paid" will not (Waves, iZotope,IK Multimedia, etc.). This was after beta I downloaded. The plugins show up in the plugin manager but not in Cakewalk. Do you think they need "resetting"?
  2. It's strange. Most plugins show up but most of the "Paid" will not (Waves, iZotope,IK Multimedia, etc.).
  3. No. I've been a programmer for 40 years and it has me completely stumped but it is a Cakewalk problem.
  4. I've moved them all to one folder, made sure Cakewalk's Plugin Menu folder is set right, and still no joy. It's definitely a Cakewalk thing. I've had problems with Melda and Waves plugins showing up/not showing. Just random BS. Any more ideas? THanks!
  5. Cakewalk only shows three default plugin menus when presented with choices. I have one I've been creating for years and it will not show up even though it does in the plugin manager. Please advise.
  6. When I add plugins through the plugin manager they show up in the manager but not in the program itself. I have the right menu layout and have tried closing and reopening Cakewalk but no joy. Is there a way to "refresh" the menu layout so the new plugins show up?
  7. I modified the custom module with my own choices. When I start up Cakewalk it's there but as soon as I open a project it switches back to the default. How do I make it global? TIA
  8. Found it. By sheer luck the 91 plugins I was missing were not important to me. And Cakewalk wasn't looking in the folder where I had my Plugin Menu files were. Now everything is perfect. Thanks, again!!!
  9. I've been using Cakewalk products since they started so I'm aquainted with the nuts and bolts. I have about 750 plugins and only about 270 are showing up. Things tried: all folders are added tried showing excluded plugins re-scan failed/existing plugins Thanks!
  10. I'm running Sonar 8.5.3 on Windows 10. I have never had a problem until a few days ago when Session Drummer 3, PX percussion Strip, and VX vocal strip all started causing problems during a VST scan. I followed the workaround I found on here, which was to run the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4, but no joy. I did stop the scan errors abut they are still not showing up on my instrument/Audio effects. Does anyone know if an update for Windows has been made in the past few days. I do remember it running something but not sure. Also, does anyone know if running the Microsoft patch above could mess up my system? Thanks.
  11. Hi, my name is Ricky...and I'm a plug-aholic. I have over 1,100 plugins and Sonar no likey. I remove them from their vst folders, reboot, rescan and they still show up in Plugin Manager. I assume they are looking at the registery and not the plugin folders. Does anyone know a quick and easy way to handle this? Even better would be a batch removal program. .Thanks for your help[.
  12. Yeah. It's making me wonder if it's something else but I have no idea where to start looking. Thanks for your reply.
  13. That works but you have to hit it every time the transport stops.
  14. Every organ plugin I've tried leaves the last notes played still playing after stopping playing. It's obvious they do not receive that final "note off" command but there is nothing I know to do about it. There used to be a setting, as far as I can remember, the sent those events when this happens. I can also turn the notes off my doing a "sweep" up and down my keyboard controller on the specific notes that are hung. What I find strange is that it happens with all the organ plugins I've tried which means it has to be a problem with Sonar. Sonar 8.5
  15. There used to be a "tab", window or something on the lower right-hand side that would show the definition of any item I was hovering over. Somehow I turned it off. How do I turn it back on?
