Either a biggie or confirmation that CbB is in maintenance mode and no more big updates are coming.

It uses more than 10 times the CPU than TONEX

I must be missing something...
I grabbed this instrument and the order gave me two files to download + my serial number :
emerald_flute_data_1_0_0.lwz
emerald_flute_samples_1_0_0.lwz
There is no installer anywhere and searching their site for a good while produced no info.
I have never seen a .lwz file before (and I've been around a while)
There 'installation guide' says there should be a .exe for windows.
I tried 7-zip on the above files and got :
info.hxi
articulations.ch1
sustain.ch1
transition.ch1Seems promising - but what do I do with them ?
Help please...
Same, how do you install these files?

very cool looking!
EDIT: the delay looks quite powerful:

Nice 'cheeky' freebie 😉

can you luad your own samples to Cube mini? How's the CPU? Sounds amazing.

The pace of development is keeping me from switching.

All the Tukan plugins add immense value to REAPER. Analog summing, eq's, comps, verbs, delays, modulation, sequenced fx, amp sims... wow.

That sucks man... there seem to be some problems with the 16 which don't occur at 4 or 8. The drivers do occasionally freeze the screen, but I do have a bunch of stuff open at all times... Disconnecting it helps.
At the beginning I was having lots of problems that got solved once I set Windows at the same sample rate as the interface (right-click on speaker icon, select "Sounds", go to the properties panel of the input and output of your interface and change set the sample rate and bit depth to the same values as the EVO control panel).

😩 I will never download a product on release day again

@Esteban Villanova Glad to see you have joined the AUDIENT EVO 4 gang .. As a fellow geetarist, i have the same thing, bought it a year or more ago, have not looked back since. Great piece of kit in all respects plus the portability tween my laptop / dtop is the job
Glad to hear it's still going strong after a year. The plastic is a bit unnerving and I'm a clumsy guy lol.

I just got their cheaper EVO 4 interface. Miles ahead of my 1st gen Scarlett in sound quality, noise level, ASIO driver performance, latency... Plus the guitar input with a JFET really brings amp sims to live. Didn't know what I was missing.

Yeah, I've thought about a track template (FX Chain has its own problems). But that only works within Cakewalk. I frequently just start up ToneX by itself to play for a few mintues or test some amp captures since the last time I ran it.
Agree that ~$35 it is a must have. I should have waited to get that kind of price that is for sure.
My brother plays guitar connected to the computer sometimes, and I made a project template in REAPER with Amplitube opened with a preset he likes and the track already armed for him. I then set the project template as default, so all it takes for him to start playing is opening REAPER. Maybe something like that would work for you.

I understand presets (both within Cakewalk and within ToneX) but can't figure out how to actually switch the default to somethign other than Black Angus.
While it isn't the worst model, it does have a high noise floor (who in the world wants that as a default)? And there are certainly better sounding amps available.
I haven't figured out how to do this is Cakewalk with ToneX. Yes, I can save a preset and even call it default
However, if I open a new project "Black Anugs" still remains the default and I have to use the drop down to change the amp. Therefore it isn't really the default. Am I missing a step in there?
Hmm.. Maybe you could save it as an FX Chain preset and load it like that. A track template could also work for more elaborate setups, including default input, track icon, send FX's, etc.
As for Tonex, I've just bought the SE version. The value in terms of sound quality, amount of free content, and low CPU usage is too hard to pass for $35. Hopefully they'll address the browser issues.

Anyone found a way to even set the default amp to something of your choice. A high gain noisy amp as the default is absurd.
Most DAWs allow you to setup a default preset for plugins.

I am using it in a DAW project. It remembers the setting in my DAW. Even the tweaks to the amp settings I did.
Yeah, amp settings are fine. I mean the browser visibility settings that allows us to hide the amps we don't own. You need to do it every time you open the UI.

Unfortunately yes. Grrrrrrrrr.
Thanks. Wow...

I'm using the free CS version, which doesn't remember my browser filtering settings when I re-open the UI. Is this the same in the paid version?

What announcement is that? 🤓

BandLab buys beat marketplace Airbit – now creators can make their beats and sell them in one integrated service
BandLab is acquiring Airbit – an online beat marketplace that boasts over two million beat sales on its platform. In a bid to expand its creator toolset and provide alternative revenue sources for creators on the platform.
Bandlab Technologies, the parent company of the artist services platform ReverbNation, offer Bandlap as a free-to-use DAW and social music creation platform, in addition to Cakewalk – their reputable, professional-level DAW. Bandlab allows anyone, anywhere, to make music online, and I consider it to be one of the best free DAWs around. Bandlab is a mobile-first cross-platform DAW and social network that provides users with all of the tools they need to start making music.
BandLab offers free music creation tools across computers & mobile devices.
Bandlab buys Airbit, giving beat makers an integrated service to create beats and sell them
Now, Bandlab users have the opportunity to cook their beats in Bandlab and sell them on Airbit in one integrated service. In fact, BandLab’s acquisition of Airbit adds to BandLab’s list of services also including SongStarter, the AI musical idea generator – providing artists with services for music creation and promotion.
Artists have earned over $45M+ on Airbit with over 2M+ beats having been sold, and the platform itself boasts a catalog of more than a million beats from notable & merging producers. But BandLab’s acquisition of Airbit is set to expand Airbit’s current audience to millions of new customers.
The acquisition of Airbit comes after two artists recently hit the Billboard charts while using Bandlab’s services. Boasting over 60M+ users, BandLab states it “has grown with its user base, always developing or integrating the latest tools an artist needs”.
“We are thrilled to bring Airbit’s community to BandLab. We are continually looking for opportunities to support BandLab artists in their creative process, and this has been one of our communities most requested features,” says Meng Ru Kuok, CEO & Founder of BandLab Technologies.
Meng continues “Thanks to companies like Airbit, self-serve beat marketplaces have become an exciting route for creators to find and purchase high-quality beats to kickstart their creative process. We’re excited to improve the user experience for our creators and introduce new ways for them to earn a living.”
All current Airbit employees will remain with the company, but Wasim Khamlichi, the Airbit CEO, is to step down after a transition period. However, users can expect “an uninterrupted integration of Airbit’s features into BandLab’s creator platform”, which is said to be happening in the near future.
CEO of Airbit, Wasim Khamlichi, says, “Airbit shares BandLab’s ethos of allowing music makers every opportunity to find success. Airbit was started with the intent to empower creators as artists and entrepreneurs through new technologies and forward-thinking music monetization tools. Since Airbit was founded in 2009, it has grown to become a powerful platform for hundreds and thousands of creators. BandLab is best positioned to take it to the next level.”
You think we'll be able to sell beats directly from CbB?
